IISc Bangalore Gets Centre for Nano Science Engineering

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is a leader in higher education and research. On February 18, 2015 the IISc Bangalore has added one academic unit, the Centre for Nano Science Engineering. The new centre will conduct study and research programmes in the areas of nano-electronics and nanotechnology. It is among one the most sophisticated laboratory in the areas of micro and nano technologies built in India.

The new centre was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi. Mr. Prime Minister also unveiled the foundation stone of the Centre for Brain Research being established as an autonomous wing of the IISc.

Known for highest level of academic excellence, the IISc Bangalore is Autonomous University and Research Institution. The institute conducts its own study programmes and awards certificates and degrees.
