The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) was established in 1958. The council conducts Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISCE) for Class X and Class XII respectively and Certificate of Vocational Education Examination (CVE) for Class XII. Board has offices in New Delhi and Kolkata. Schools of following categories are affiliated with CISCE Board
The board provides affiliation to schools, design study syllabus, conduct examinations, looks after school administration and create productive measures so students excel in studies and life.
For ICSE examination students can chose for list of 61 subjects, while for ISCE students can chose from a list of 52 subjects.
