Indian Militry Academy (IMA) Dehradun

The Indian Militry Academy (IMA) Dehradun was established on 1 October 1932 for the training of services in the Indian Army. Its motto is Valour and Wisdom. The cadets selected through UPSC exam for service of Indian Army undergo for training here for 18 months. However, cadets graduated from a military college under for training for 12 months.
The IMA has purpose to prepare future military officers for guarding the nation and hence provides rigorous physical and mental training to selected cadets.

Do you know Sam Manekshaw is an alumnus of IMA Dehradun and the first in India to become a Field Marshal.
