NDA & NA Written Examination (I) 2015 Result

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) New Delhi announced Written Test Result for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2015. The test was held by UPSC across India on 19th April 2015. The candidates qualified in the written shall now require to undergo for Personality Test / Interview held by Service Selection Boards (SSBs) of the Ministry of Defence. The finally selected candidates shall get admission based on cloices and eligibility into  the 135th Course and for the 97th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The course shall commence from 2 January 2016.

NCC Special Entry Scheme 31st course APR-2012

Short Service Commission (NT) For Men & Women

(Including widows of Defence Personnel for TECH and NON TECH Entry)

Eligibility Criteria


(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya. Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

(b) AGE LIMIT: (For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle casualties): 19 to 25 years (not born earlier than 02 Jan 87 and not later than 01 Jan. 93).

Entry for Widow of Defence Personnel With Four (04) Years Age Relaxation

i) SSCW (NON-TECH): Graduate in any discipline; Age: 19 to 29 yrs Not born earlier than 02 Jan 83 and not later than 01 Jan 94.

ii) SSCW (TECH): BE/B Tech in the notified Branch of SSCW (Tech) issued on Employment News dated 18 Jun 2011; Age: 20 to 31 yrs. Not born earlier than 02 Apr 81 and not later than 01 Apr 92.

(c) The criteria of NCC ‘C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai:

(i) Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.

(ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division / Wing of N.C.C. (iii) Grading: Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

Application Form - How To Apply

(a) Apply on plain paper as per the format given in the advertisement, duly typed.

(b) Applications should be posted to the nearest OC, NCC Unit from where NCC ‘C’ certificate has been issued.

(c) Applications of Candidates sewing in the Armed Forces duly
counter-signed by Commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC' ‘C’ certificate has been issued and advance copy be sent direct to DG NCC West Block- IV, RK Puram, New Delhi-11 0066.

(d) All NCC Units will forward the applications to DDG, NCC of the concerned State

(e) Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg 6), Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), reserves the right to shortlist applications on the basis of grade obtained by the candidates in NCC ‘C’ certificate examination/percentage of marks in degree examinations.

(f) DDG, NCC States will process all applications and forward them to Dfe Gen NCC. Special emphasis will be laid on the following points: —

(i) Check date of birth from class X Certificate, (ii) Check Degree/ Provisional degree is from a University recognized by AIU. (iii) Check marks sheets of all years and ensure that candidate has minimum 50% marks in the aggregate for all three years (iv) Check NCC ‘C’ Certificate with minimum ‘B’ Grading.

Last date for receipt of application at NCC Bn/Gp HQ-10: 16th August, 2011

Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Dte from Dte Gen NCC: 1st October, 2011

METHOD OF SELECTION:

(a) All applications as per format given are to be forwarded to Rtg.
Directorate (NCC Entry) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/Gp HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to HQ. DG NCC. (b) Thorough screening / Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications of the candidates will be carried out by the NCC Directorates and HQ DG NCC. (c) Candidates not in receipt of call letter from any of the Selection
Centres for SSB interview should presume that either their applications have been received after due date or have been found ineligible or rejected during short- listing. No correspondence in this regard
will be entertained. Candidates after shortlisting will be detailed for SSB interview by Additional Directorate General of Recruiting. The decision of Headquarter DG NCC and Addl. Dit Gen Rtg in Army HQ, in the matter of Shortlisting and forwarding of applications to SSBs will be final

(d) On arrival at the Selection Centre the candidates will be administered stage-l of the two stage testing procedure. Candidates failing in stage-I will be Sent back on the same day and those who qualify will be detained to undergo Group Tests, Psychological Tests and Interview which will extend for a duration of 5 days.

(e) Candidates recommended by SSBs will be required to go through Medical Exam. Candidates who are found medically fit will be placed in order of merit as per the marks obtained in SSB interview amongst the recommended candidates. Boarding and lodging during interviews at
SSBs are free. Recommendation by SSB confers no right of admission to the Officers Training Academy. The final selection will be made as per the order of merit subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects and number of vacancies available.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Candidates recommended by the Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Women candidates recommended by Service Selection Board will undergo medical examination by a medical board of male / female doctors / Specialists/Gynecologist. However, there will be a Lady Medical Officer as member the Medical Board for female candidates. Only those candidates will be admitted to the Academy who are declared fit by the Special Medical Board. However, the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Special Medical Board and procedure for request for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Candidates who are unfit may apply for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) to be completed within 42 days of SMB and may request for Review Medical Board (RMB) within 1 day of completion of Appeal Medical Board. Candidates for AMB shall automatically report to the hospital opted by them on any working day, keeping in view the time taken by postal authorities
to deliver their Medical documents at the Hospital for medical examination. No call shall be given by the opted hospital and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. Candidates are
advised in their own interest to appear for AMB well in time and should not wait for the last date given by the SMB.

Candidates are advised to note that Recruiting Directorate has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards; the procedure advised by medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to.

The candidates will also be intimated that Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of DGAFMS based on the merits of the case and that RMB is not a matter of right. Candidates will only be considered medically fit on receipt of the approved medical board proceedings from concerned medical authorities in Addl Dte Gen Rtg.
6. ln their own interest the candidates are advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up for wax in ears, refractory error of eyes and fungal infection of skin before reporting for the SSB interview.

(a) Relaxation In Height: The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumanon, the minimum acceptable
height will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.

(b) VISUAL STANDARDS: (i) The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18, myopia of not more than minus 3.50 for men and 5.50 for womens including astigmatism. (ii) Candidates who have undergone or have the evidence of having undergone Radial Keratotomy to improve the visual acuity, will be permanently rejected; also candidates aged 20 years or above who have undergone Laser Surgery for correction of refractive error will be considered for commission in Army if they fulfill following criteria :•

(i) Uncomplicated stable LASIK/Excimer (PRK) laser procedure done for. Myopia or Hypermetropia, with stable refraction for a period of six months after the procedure.

(ii) A healthy retina.

(iii) Corrected vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye, with maximum
residual refraction of : (+/-) 1.50 in any meridian for myopia or hypermetropia.

(iv) Axial length within permissible limits.

Twenty Second Pre Final Year University Entry scheme for Men

Permanent Commission in the July 2012 - 13

Indian Army invites applications from UNMARRIED male Engineering Degree students studying in Pre-Final Year (IIIrd year) in academic session 2011-2012 for Grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.

Candidates studying in FINAL YEAR in 2011-12 can exercise their option for following courses:-

(i) TGC -115 (Jul 2012) Terms and condition will be the same as applicable to regular TGC-115 course

(ii) SSC (T) - 39 (Oct 2012) Terms and condition will be the same as applicable to regular SSC (T)-39 course

(iii) Unmarried female candidates studying in final year can exercise their option for SSCW(T)-10 only. (Terms and condition will be same as applicable to SSCW(T)-10 commencing in Oct 2012.


Important

(a) Induction in TGC/SSC (T)/SSCW (T) entries is an opportunity provided to candidates studying in final year, otherwise, there is no change in existing terms .and conditions and procedure for induction into TGC / SSC(T) Men/Women entries.

(b) Final year candidates should not apply again on-line for TGC-115/
SSC(T)-39 and SSCW (T )-10 Courses, against Notifications that are
given later for these courses.

Eligibility Criteria Indian Army - University Entry Scheme

Pre-Final Year candidates

UES - 22 (Pre-Final Year) - Born between 02 Jul 88 and 01 Jul 94 , - Not below 18 yrs and not over 24 yrs.

Final Year candidates

(i) TGC-115 (July 2012) - Born between 02 Jul 85 and 01 Jul 92 - Not below 20 yrs and not over 27 yrs.

(ii) SSC (Tech) Men - 39 (Oct 2012) - Born between 02 Oct 85 and 01 Oct 92 - Not below 20 yrs and not over 27 yrs.

(iii) SSC Women (Tech) - 10 (Oct 2012) - Born between 02 Oct 85 and 01 Oct 92 - Not below 20 yrs and not over 27 yrs.

Note : Age limit mentioned above will be applicable at the time of commencement of course. Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/State Boards/(CSCE) in which date of birth is reflected will be accepted and no subsequent request for change in Date of Birth will be considered or granted. (Admit Card / Marksheet / Transfer / Leaving Certificate etc. are not acceptable)

c) Educational Qualification : Candidates studying in the Pre-Final of the Engineering Degree Course in recognized Universities/ institutions / Colleges will be eligible to apply but must possess the educational qualification at the time of joining training or produce the proof of having obtained the educational qualification within 12 week from the date of commencement of training for the grant of permanent commission in the Army. The candidates who are unable to produce the Degree/Provisional Degree Certificate at the time of joining the training will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at IMA /OTA as notified from time to time, in case they fail to produce the requisite Degree/Provisional Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training.

(d) Army HQ reserves the right to short list applications and to fix cut off percentage of marks for SSB interview based on the aggregate percentage of marks scored by the candidates in the first two/three years of engineering degree course as the case may be. Candidates who have had an "year back / failed" by one year during the engineering degree course are NOT eligible to apply.

PHYSICAL STANDARD (MEN) Indian Army - University Entry Scheme

The minimum acceptable Height is 157.5cms. with corrected weight.
For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern region
of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable height will be
5 cm less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum
acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.

(b) Physical Standards : (Women) Indian Army - University Entry Scheme

i) Height and Weight : The minimum acceptable height and weight for women candidates is 152 cm and 42 kg with co-related height and weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduce height.

(ii) To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability like to interface with the efficient performance of duty.

8. Prospective candidates are advised to exercise and keep themselves physically fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical training at Indian Military Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the regime there, candidates are advised to achieve following standards before joining the IMA, if finally selected :-

(a) Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes. (b) Push Ups-13 Nos. (c) Sit Ups-
25 Nos. (d) Chin Ups-6 Nos. (e) Rope Climbing-3-4 meters.

9. VISUAL STANDARDS : (a) (i) The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse eye 6/18, myopia of not more than minus 3.50 including astigmatism. (ii) Candidates who have under-gone or have the evidence of having undergone Radial Keratotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected: also candidates who have undergone Laser Surgery for correction of refractive error will be considered for commission in Army if they fulfill following criteria-

(b) The envelope (white) containing the application should be SUPERSCRIBED IN RED INK indicating clearly the branch of Engineering applied for. For example ‘APPLICATIONS FOR 22 UES ENTRY - ENGINEERING’.

(c) Send your application so as to reach respective Command HQ at the following address on or before 31 Jul 2011:-

(C) Educational Qualification :

Final Year appearing/appeared candidates and qualified graduates of the Degree Course in Engineering from a recognized University will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of Tech Degree Course must possess Engineering Degree at the time of joining training. The candidate studying in the final year of Degree Course, if not already in possession of the Degree Certificate should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at OTA. Such candidates will be inducted for training at OTA on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowance paid. In case they fail to produce the requisite Degree Certificate.

(D) Age Limit : 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Apr 84 and not later than 01 Apr 91.

For Widows of Defence Personnel With Four (04) Years age relaxation

Graduate in any discipline ; Age: 19 to 29 yrs. Not Born earlier than
02 Jan 82 and not later than 01 Jan 92

BE / B.Tech. in streams as mentioned (b) ; AGE: 20 t0 31 Yrs. Not Born earlier than 02 Apr 80 and not late than,01 Apr 91

(e) Ante Date Seniority: One years ante date seniority will be applicable for Men and Women Officers having Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) from a recognized institution/university.

Widows of Defence personnel, including those with children, who have died in harness will be eligible to apply for Short Service Commission (Tech) and (Non Tech). A total of 5% vacancies will be earmarked for widows both for SSC (Tech) women and SSC (Non-Tech) women. A maximum of 2.5% each of vacancies will be earmarked for SSC (Tech) and SSC (Non-Tech) women.

For SSC (Non-Tech) Women Course Srl No. 07, total vacancy is 18 as per UPSC notification No. 02/2010-CDS-I published in the Employment News dated 26 Sep. 09. Hence, total vacancy for War / Battle Casualty Widows in Non-Tech stream is 01. In case of non-availability of SSC (Tech) women officers to cater for 2.5% vacancies, the remaining vacancies can be filled by SSC (Non-Tech) women officers and vice versa. They will be eligible only if they have not remarried. The unfilled vacancies will revert to the category other than that of widows. Upper age limit will be relaxable upto four years in respect of such candidates. A copy of death certificate and part- II order is to be enclosed. The envelop containing the application should be Superscribed in Red ink indicating clearly the name of the officer with rank. For example, Widow of late ...... ,

Candidates may apply directly to AG’s Branch, ADG Recruiting, Army HQ, provided they possess the laid down educational qualification and selection criteria.

Puram, New Delhi-110066 and application for 7th SSC(T) Women should be posted by Registered Post to reach Integrated Headquarter of Ministry Defence (Army), Adjutant General’s Branch Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting, Women Entry, West Block-lll, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 latest by 09 Aug. 2010.

Candidates are advised to send their applications well in advance so that the same reaches before the last date for receipt of applications. Recruiting Directorate is not responsible for postal delays. Applications should not be sent by Private Courier Agencies. Candidates are informed that in case of dispute, if` any, the same will be subject to Delhi Jurisdiction. (e) Applications received after due date will neither be opened nor be entertained in any case. (f) The applicants are

semester marks sheets along with application. (d) An affidavit stating that you are issueless (in case of widows/divorcees widows of Defence Personnel).
