(C) Educational Qualification :

Final Year appearing/appeared candidates and qualified graduates of the Degree Course in Engineering from a recognized University will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of Tech Degree Course must possess Engineering Degree at the time of joining training. The candidate studying in the final year of Degree Course, if not already in possession of the Degree Certificate should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at OTA. Such candidates will be inducted for training at OTA on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowance paid. In case they fail to produce the requisite Degree Certificate.

(D) Age Limit : 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Apr 84 and not later than 01 Apr 91.

For Widows of Defence Personnel With Four (04) Years age relaxation

Graduate in any discipline ; Age: 19 to 29 yrs. Not Born earlier than

(e) Ante Date Seniority: One years ante date seniority will be applicable for Men and Women Officers having Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) from a recognized institution/university.

Widows of Defence personnel, including those with children, who have died in harness will be eligible to apply for Short Service Commission (Tech) and (Non Tech). A total of 5% vacancies will be earmarked for widows both for SSC (Tech) women and SSC (Non-Tech) women. A maximum of 2.5% each of vacancies will be earmarked for SSC (Tech) and SSC (Non-Tech) women.

For SSC (Non-Tech) Women Course Srl No. 07, total vacancy is 18 as per UPSC notification No. 02/2010-CDS-I published in the Employment News dated 26 Sep. 09. Hence, total vacancy for War / Battle Casualty Widows in Non-Tech stream is 01. In case of non-availability of SSC (Tech) women officers to cater for 2.5% vacancies, the remaining vacancies can be filled by SSC (Non-Tech) women officers and vice versa. They will be eligible only if they have not remarried. The unfilled vacancies will revert to the category other than that of widows. Upper age limit will be relaxable upto four years in respect of such candidates. A copy of death certificate and part- II order is to be enclosed. The envelop containing the application should be Superscribed in Red ink indicating clearly the name of the officer with rank. For example, Widow of late ...... ,

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY

(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) Tibetan origin but of Indian domicile, whose parents entered India as refugees prior to 1st January 1962 with intention of Permanently settling in India. (v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambi, Malawai, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of Permanently settling in India.

(b) Physical Standards:

(i) Height & Weight: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with correlated weight and for women candidate is 152 cm and 42 kg. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduce height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.

(ii) Visual Standards: The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant vision (corrected) better eye G/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 1.5 including Astigmatism. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for Correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.

(iii) To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.

Himachal Pradesh University (HPU)

Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course

Eligibility Criteria

(i) For Govt. Institution and State Duota Seats in Private Nursing Colleges: Female children of Bonafide Himachali/ Himachal Govt. Employees and Employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Govt. shall only be eligible to compete in the said Entrance Test.

(ii) For Management Quota Seats (only in Private Nursing Colleges): For filling up Management quota seats in Private B.Sc. Nursing Colleges in the Sate of Himachal Pradesh, there will be no bonafide condition. Under this quota, both Himachali and non-Himachali interested female candidates can compete in this entrance test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification and age as given hereunder.

AGE & EDUCATIONAL OUALIFICATION:

(i) Age: The age of the candidate should be between 17 to 35 years as per matriculation certificate as on 31st December 2010 i.e. date of birth of the candidate should be in between on or after 1.1.1976 and on or before 31 .12.1993. However, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit shall be available for SC/ST/OBC candidates i.e. the candidate must born on or after 1.1.1971.

(ii) Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations from HP Board of School Education or any Board / University established by law in India with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as elective subjects with aggregate 45% marks in the above subjects. For SC / ST / OBC candidates, minimum percentage of aggregate marks in the above
subjects is, however, 40%.

Note (i) The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 or its equivalent examination and whose results have not been declared can also apply for this test, but their candidature shall be considered only in case of fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed in the prospectus at the time of 1st round of counseling.

(ii) Admission to married candidates for B.Sc. Degree Course shall
be allowed subject to the production of medical fitness certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

For M.Phil/Ph.D Programme : Candidates with at least 55% marks at Master Degree level from any recognized University. Relaxation up to 5% is admissible in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

For Master Degree Programme : (I) Candidates who have passed the Three Year Degree Course Examination of any other recognized University.

(II) For M.Sc. Environmental Sciences: Candidate having a graduate degree with Major/Honours in any of the subject : Environmental Science / Botany / Zoology / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geography / Geology / Forestry shall be eligible to apply.

(III) For M.Ed Programme : A. candidate holding Bachelor Degree in Education ( i.e. B.Ed or equivalent) of this University or any other recognized University with 55% marks in theory ( 50% in case of SC/ST ) shall be eligible for admission to Master’s Degree in Education ( M.Ed.). In case of students (a) who graduated from colleges affiliated to or maintained by this University or (b) who are permanent domicile of Meghalaya (supported by SC/ST or Permanent Residential Certificate) graduated from other Universities, the percentage of marks obtained in the subject concerned (B.Ed in the case of admission to M.Ed) shall be raised by 10% on the aggregate.

In case of those candidates who have not offered the subject in the Major/ Honours no such weightage shall be given and their marks in the Major/Honours subject without weightage shall be taken into account.

For Department of Adult & Continuing Education Graduation in any subjects (B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/Equivalent degree) with 50% Additional weightage shall be given to those who have P.G. Certificate / P.G. Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education.

For M.Sc. Plant Molecular Biology (Botany Department): Candidates having B.Sc. (Hons) Botany/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Chemistry (with Botany/ Zoology/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry as one of the papers).

For Certificate/ Diploma Courses : For PG. Diploma in Statistics (Two Semester) any one who has passed the B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. examination of this University or any other University with Mathematics as a subject at 10 + 2 level.
