Admission Notice for Category in Sports, NCC, Kashmiri Migrants/ Dependents of Defence Personnel/Paramilitary Personnel Etc. & Wards of West Pakistan Refugees Settled in the State of J & K in Diploma Level Course

Seven number of seats for sports category students (one in each branch of Diploma level courses running in the institution),

Seven number of seats for NCC ‘N Certificate students (one in each branch of Diploma level courses running in the institution),

Eleven number of seats for dependents of defence personnel / paramilitary personnel etc. (as per the details mentioned in the prospectus of the institution) and

three number of seats for the Kashmiri Migrants/children and grand
children of West Pakistan Refugees settled in the state of Jammu &
Kashmir

are available in the institution for admission in the diploma level courses contained in the Prospectus of this Institution for the session 2010-2011.

The admission to the above mentioned categories will be done at the institution level as per the UT Administration Policy as mentioned in the prospectus of the institution.

Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates who have appeared in JET 2010 are eligible for admission.

Every candidate who want to seek admission under the above mentioned category must deposit a counselling fee of Rs 500/- in any of the designated branches of Punjab National Bank as given in JET-2010 prospectus.

The students seeking admission under sports category must bring Gradation Certificate/ Supporting Certificate issued by Chandigarh Administration, along with the original supporting documents/ testimonials/ certificates/ proof of depositing of counseling fee/ JET score card at the time of reporting.

The students seeking admission under NCC category must bring ‘A’ certificate along with the original supporting documents/ testimonials/ certificates/ proof of depositing of counseling fee/ JET score card at the time of reporting.

The students seeking admission under Defence category must bring original supporting documents/ testimonials/ certificates/proof of depositing of counseling fee/ JET score card at the time of reporting.

The students seeking admission pertaining to Kashmiri Migrants/Wards of West Pakistan Refugees must have got the proof of his/her being a Kashmiri Migrants or being a child/grand child of West Pakistan Refugees settled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir along with the original supporting documents/ testimonials/ certificates/ proof of depositing of counselling fee/ JET score card at the time of reporting.

Counseling for admission shall be conducted at Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (Diploma Wing), Sector 26, Chandigarh as per the schedule given below:-

Defence Category: 21.07.2010 at 9.30 AM

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY)

Applications are invited for admission to the following non-residential course:

Diploma in Yoga Science (D.Y.Sc.) (One Year)

Eligibility Criteria

A graduate from a recognized University with minimum 40% marks in aggregate. 5% weightage will be given to those possessing PG Degree in any subject.

Age Limit: Below 30 years as on 01.08.2010 (10 years age relaxation for in service candidates who joins the course on deputation through proper channel).

Application Procedure

The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the office of MDNIY from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on any working day from 15.07.2010 on payment of Rs. 200/- in cash/ Demand Draft in favour of MORARJI DESAI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF YOGA, payable at any Nationalised Bank at New Delhi.

The prospectus can be obtained by post also on payment of Rs. 250/- by Demand Draft only. Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from website, which may be sent along with Demand Draft for Rs. 200/-.

Selection: Will be on merit cum reservation on qualifying degree.

Scholarship:
Rs. 3,000/- per month to 13 (GM-7, OBC-3, SC-2 & ST-1) meritorious students based on the performance in the first semester examination of D.Y.Sc.

Fellowship: Rs. 8,000/- p.m to 2 students each from Andaman & Nicobar Islands and North-East. The application of those candidates shall be forwarded by the concerned Health/AYUSH Deptt. of the State / UT. However, the candidat may send an advance copy of their application to MDNIY

One Year certificate Course in Health Promotion through Distance Learning

In collaboration with Directorate General of Health Services, MoHFW and NIHFW (Approved by Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India)

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate in any Medical (MBBS/ BDS/ Bachelor of AYUSH etc.), Paramedical (B.Pharma, B.Sc. Nursing, B.PT/B.OT etc.), Science and Behavioural Sciences stream.

Application Procedure

Prospectus & Application Form: Available from 16th July, 2010 on payment of Crossed Indian Postal Order or a Bank Draft only of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of the Director, NIHFW, payable at Delhi, from Health Promotion Unit, Distance Learning Cell (DLC), Room No. 417, Academic Block, NIHFW.

The prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the website of the Institute. In such cases application form should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 10, 200/-(Rs.10, 000/- Course Fee and Rs. 200/- cost of prospectus).
