CMAT September 2012 - Common Management Admission Test (First Test)

The Common Management Admission Test - CMAT September 2012 will is an entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education - AICTE to select studnets for admission into Management Programs in management institutes approved by AICTE. The CMAT Test will be held twice a year
and candidates will be selected from best score CMAT for admission. The the basis of CMAT 2012 First Test the admission will be offered in management courses 2013-14.

Exam Pattern CMAT 2013-14 (First Test)

CMAT 2013-14 (First Test) wil test your abilities in following four areas-
  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Language Comprehension
  • General Awareness

  • There will be 25 questions in each four sections. Maximum marks allotted to each section will be 100.
  • The CMAT 2013-14 (First Test) will be 180 minutes Computer Based Test CBT
  • For each wrongly marked answer you will be penalised with -1 mark. Gusseing is not the game in CMAT 2013-14 (First Test)

IIT Delhi UG Admission 2013 will be based on New JEE

The IIT Delhi will offer admission to Under Graduate Courses 2013 on the basis of new JEE. The IIT council has accepted the new format with recommendation that either a student should be among top 20 percentile scorer
or he / she should have scored minimum 60% at the board examination to be eligible to write JEE Advanced. The council also recommended that the syllabus for JEE Main and JEE Advanced should be identical. For 2014 admission onwards the council agreed upon setting up a committee to look into the currenttly proposed admission process through JEE. It is to be noted that by now all IITs are agreed to offer admission into under graduate programs 2013 on the basis of new JEE. While admission into 2014 its likely that IITs will come up with certain recommendations.

Oxford to digitize Shakespeares Plays

The buzz is that, the University of Oxford has launched a fund raising initiative to digitize the First Folio 1623, i.e. First Edition of William Shakespeare's plays and make it available online.
In May last First Folio was shown to noted Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan during his visit. It's very rarely shown to visitor due to worn conditions. The campaign by Oxfords Bodleian Library is called Sprint for Shakespeare. Nearly 1000 will be digitized and fund will also be raised to stabilise and protect the First Folio.
