DU Admission 2014: B.Tech (IT) and BA Hons (Huamanities and Social Sciences)- CIC

The University of Delhi (DU) notifies entrance examination schedule for Admission 2014 towards B.Tech (IT) and BA Hons (Huamanities and Social Sciences)- CIC.

The Entrance Examination will be held on 9 August 2014.

Eligibility Criteria: For B.Tech (IT & Mathematical Innovations)- A student currently enrolled in Undergraduate programme of study in the University of Delhi with 60% and above marks in best four subjects including Mathematics in Class 12th Exam. The relaxation for SC / ST / OBC will be as per University rules.

Eligibility Criteria: For BA Hons Humanities and Social Sciences: A student currently enrolled as student in any of the Colleges or School of Open Learning (SOL) or Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) undergraduate programme of study in the University of Delhi with 60% and above marks in the Class 12th Exams. The relaxation for SC / ST / OBC will be as per rules.

NDA & NA Examination (I) 2014 Written Results

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) New Delhi announced National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2014 Result today. The merit list is prepared on the basis of Written Examination conducted by UPSC on 20 April 2014. The candidates who have qualified in NDA & NA Written Test (I) 2014 shall now undergo for Interview conducted by Service Selection Board (SSB)-Ministry of Defence.

The candidates who shall find place in NDA & NA Interview (I) 2014 Merit List shall be offered admission in the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy for the 133rd Course and for the 95th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The course shall start from from 2nd January, 2015.

The language of Sangam literature-The language of medieval Tamil: Pallava period only-Historical study of Nouns, Verbs, adjectives, adverbs Tense markers and case markers in Tamil.
Borrowing of words from other languages into Tamil-Regional and social dialects-difference between literary and spoken Tamil.

UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2015 Syllabus: Statistics Paper-II

1.  Industrial Statistics: Process and product control, general theory of control charts, different types of control charts for variables and attributes, X, R, s, p, np and c charts, cumulative sum chart. Single, double, multiple and sequential sampling plans for attributes, OC, ASN, AOQ and ATI curves, concepts of producer’s and consumer’s risks, AQL, LTPD and AOQL, Sampling plans for variables, Use of Dodge-Roming tables.
Concept of reliability, failure rate and reliability functions, reliability of series and parallel systems and other simple configurations, renewal density and renewal function, Failure models: exponential, Weibull, normal, log normal.
Problems in life testing censored and truncated experiments for exponential models.

UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2015 Syllabus: Statistics Paper-I

1. Probability: Sample space and events, probability measure and probability space, random variable as a measurable function, distribution function of a random variable, discrete and continuous-type random variable, probability mass function, probability density function, vector-valued random variable, marginal and conditional distributions, stochastic independence of events and of random variables, expectation and moments of a random variable, conditional expectation, convergence of a sequence of random variable in distribution, in probability, in p-th mean and almost everywhere, their criteria and inter-relations,  Chebyshev’s inequality and Khintchine‘s weak law of large numbers, strong law of large numbers and Kolmogoroff’s theorems, probability generating function, moment generating function, characteristic function, inversion theorem,  Linderberg and Levy forms of central limit theorem, standard discrete and continuous probability distributions.

Combined Medical Services Examination 2014 Result and Notice for Personality Test / Interview

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi, declared Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2014 Result on 23 July 2014. The Written Examination was held in June 2014. On the basis of performance in CMS Exam 2014, the UPSC has announced List of Candidates Qualified for Interview / Personality Test. The Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be available on the UPSC Website from 25.07.2014 till 08.08.2014.

Last Date for submission of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) is 11 August 2014.

Tentatively, the Combined Medical Services Examination 2014 Personality Test / Interview shall commence from 26 August 2014.
