Online Submission of Application Form

For the convenience of the applicants as well as their parents/ guardians, the University is also providing the facility of On-Line Submission of Application Form for CET - 2009. The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs.800/- and Rs.100/- as postage and handling can be submitted through the Internet Link: http:\\ipu.admissionhelp.com .

The last date for submitting the application form through Online is 21st April, 2009. The Admit Cards will, however, be sent only by registered post.

There are 03 options to make payments ONLINE.
(i) Credit Card of any Bank can be used.
(ii) ITZ Cash Card as being used for buying ONLINE Rail Tickets.
(iii) Net Banking payment facility for CitiBank, ICICI and HDFC Bank Customers.

Submission by Hand/Post

The Application Form complete in all respects in the sealed printed envelope given along with Admission Brochure, should be submitted by hand at the University counter or it may be sent by Registered/ Speed Post to the Controller of Examinations, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi- 110403 latest by 21st April, 2009.

For applying in more than One Test Code, the applicant should purchase separate Admission Brochure and apply separately.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) - 2009

Aptitude test required for admissions to 1st year B.Arch. At all institutes / schools / colleges of Architecture in India (including Govt., Govt-aided, Private Unaided, University Depts., Deemed Universities, etc.), offering courses, leading to Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

Test Fees

NATA Fees are Rs.800, and are to be paid at the time of Registration and before collection of the appointment voucher from the Test Center. The test fees are to be paid by Demand draft/ Postal order/ banker’s cheque drawn in favour of ‘Council of Architecture’, payable at New Delhi.

The Council of Architecture (COA), through its academic unit - National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) at Pune, is conducting a National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission to first year of 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course for various COA approved architectural institutions in the country, for the academic session 2009-2010.

It may be noted that as per the Minimum Standards prescribed by COA under the Architects Act, 1972, the admission of candidates to first year of 5-year B.Arch. degree course shall be subject to their passing an aptitude test in architecture.

Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for admission to 5-year B.Arch. Course shall be as follows:

10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks. OR

10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics. as compulsory subject of examination.

NATA shall be conducted at various designated Test Centers in COA approved architectural institutions in the country on all working days commencing from March 15, 2009.

The registration for NATA at the designated test centers have begun w.e.f. March 1, 2009.

For appearing in NATA, the candidates are advised to access NATA website www.nata.in to download the information Brochure and the list of test centers, list of participating institutions, NATA 2009 brochure and pre-registration form.

After conduct of NATA, the admissions shall be carried out by respective State Government/ Competent Authority/Association of Architectural Institutions in the State, based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. A NATA score shall be valid for 2 years for the purposes of admission to 5-year B.Arch. degree course in an architectural institution.

The prospective students are also advised to confirm the approval status of institutions from COA website before taking admission in any institution in the country.

After admissions to 5-year B.Arch. degree course, all COA approved architectural institutions in the country shall be required to submit to COA, a list of students admitted as per the intake sanctioned by COA for the academic session 2009-2010, for enabling COA to allot Unique Enrolment Nos. to these students. The students shall be required to furnish their Enrolment Nos. at the time of applying for registration as an architect with the Council.

Ph.D Programme - 2009

Invitation to pursue Ph.D Programme in specialized areas of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology, Indore.

RRCAT is a Constituent Institute of "Homi Bhabha National Institute" (HBNI), a Deemed University, and invites students with appropriate qualifications to pursue Ph.D. programme in various specialized areas of physics, chemistry and biology, listed above. As per the rules of HBNI, the Ph.D. programme consists of course work of one year duration and research work of up to 4 years duration.

The Ph.D. programme will commence in September 2009. DAE Junior Research Fellowships will be offered to those selected for the pursuit of Ph.D. programme. The fellowship amount is Rs. 12000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 14000 per month for the next three years subject to satisfactory progress.

Eligibility:

Persons having M.Sc. degree in Physics/Chemistry/Biology with minimum 60% marks and who have cleared one of the national level screening tests listed in the `Selection Process` described below, are eligible to apply. Those applicants whose final results of M.Sc degree are awaited can also apply. In the event of selection, mark sheet of the final result would have to be submitted by November 1, 2009. Continuation in the programme will be subject to the candidate obtaining minimum 60% marks.

Age limit: The candidates desirous of availing DAE fellowship should have been born on or after September 1, 1983. Age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC and by five years for SC/ST applicants.

Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

The candidates appeared earlier in RRCAT Ph.D programme interview are not eligible for appearing again.

Selection process:

Selection of the students for the Ph.D. programme will be a two-step process: (1)Screening of short-list candidates followed by (2) Interview of the short-listed candidates. Short-list of candidates shall be prepared based on applicant`s score in (i) the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2009) or (ii) GATE-2008/GATE-2009.

Short-listed candidates shall be called for interview to be conducted in May & July 2009, at RRCAT, Indore-452013. Outstation applicants called for interview will be paid to and fro sleeper class train fare by shortest route or actual fare, whichever is less.

Fill up two copies of the accompanying application form, fix a passport-size photo on each and, along with copies of documents mentioned in the application, mail to the following address by Registered Post A/D or by Speed Post of Indian Postal Service.

Eligibility:
The candidates having Indian nationality should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination from the recognized School / College / Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Delhi securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (50% or more marks for candidates belonging to SC / ST category, 55% or more marks for candidates belonging to CW (Defence) / Physically Handicapped category).

The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the CEE-2009.

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and also have valid GATE/NET qualification. Percentage of marks or CGPA shall be calculated taking the aggregate scored by the candidate in all years or as per the norms of the concerned university/Institute.

5% of total number of seats are available for officially sponsored candidates from the Govt. Department /P.S.U./R&D organization with minimum of 2 years experience. Valid GATE/NET score is essential qualification for all disciplines (including M.B.A.) except for the following category of candidates:- (i) Candidates holding B.V.Sc. /M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S. degree; (ii) Foreign nationals; (iii) NRI and their wards category (in case of M.B.A (Pharm.) only; (iv) Sponsored candidates from Public/Private Sector undertakings, Govt. Departments and Research and Development Organizations.

Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of Counselling/ Interview/ GD failing which their candidature shall be rejected.

Information Brochure containing Application form can be obtained in person or by post from the office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2009 on submission of non refundable Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- for SC/ST) payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh in favour of “NIPER-JEE 2009” along with two duly typed self-addressed Slips with name (10 cms X 6 cms). Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 by bank draft payable to “NIPER-JEE 2009”. Payment by cheque/postal order will not be accepted. Candidates desirous of obtaining information brochure by post should clearly mention the name of the programme in the application and on the top of the envelope carrying the request letter.

The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for travel and boarding for attending test/GD/Interview/Counselling

Completed applications on the prescribed OMR form should be sent to Organising Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2009, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, (NIPER), Sector 67, S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, 160062, (through speed post/registered post) so as to reach him on or before 27th April 2009. The Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. Applications received after the due date will not be considered. No correspondence/ inquiry in this regard will be entertained. The Institute shall not be held responsible for misplacement of any loose sheet. Therefore, all the applicants are required to submit the application form properly tied together. The attested copy of valid NET/GATE score card only shall be sent with the application form.
