Admission Notice for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. Courses-2010

Eligibility: Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
Application procedure: BY CASH : on payment of Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates) from the following branches of Bank of Baroda.

BY POSTAL CHANNEL : From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/STcandidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi. Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.

The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm X 6 cm size MUST also accompany it.

The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed “ Request for Application for PMT-2010, BHU”. Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Friday, the 19th February 2010.

Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/ unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted.

NOTE: (a) Separate Bank Draft will be required for each application form. (b) M.O./ I.P.O./Cheques shall NOT be accepted under any circumstances. Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute ofMedical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person. In case forms are not available at Bank of Baroda Branches, the same can be obtained by post from Director’s Office upto 19th February, 2010.

Entrance Examination for Admission to Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma)

Entrance Examination (PGM-CET 2010) for Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) will be held on Sunday, 24th January, 2010 from 10.00 a. m. to 1.30 p. m.

The cost of application form along with the Information Brochure of PGM-CET 2010 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn on any Nationalised or Scheduled commercial Bank in favor of "Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai.

The Brochure and Application Form will be available at the following Government Medical Colleges from 18/12/2009 to 02/01/2010 (Excluding Sundays and State Government Holidays). Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the PGM-CET-2010 brochure, before purchasing theapplication form. .

Duly filled Application form should be submitted in person from 18/12/2009 to 02/01/2010 (Excluding Sundays and State Government Holidays), at any of the above centers. The application form should not be sent by post/Courier, such forms will be rejected without any intimation.

Eligibility Criteria

1) A candidate must be an Indian National.

2) Candidates who have passed final M.B.B.S. examination and completed one year internship training from recognized medical college included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non-Agricultural
Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 and who have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) will be eligible to appear for
PGM-CET 2010.

The candidates who have passed final MBBS examination completing
internship by 30th April 2010 are also eligible.

3) Eligibility for in-service candidates will be as per criteria laid down by the Public Health Department for M.M.& H.S. Medical Officer candidates and E.S.I.S. candidates; and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for BMC candidates.

4) The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for MBBS course and who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGM-CET-2010.

5) The candidate who has obtained MBBS degree from Deemed University is not eligible to appear for PG M-CET-2010.

The HCMS doctors fulfilling Government conditions are also eligible to appear in the test.

For M.Ch.: Only those candidates who have passed Surgery from the colleges situated in Haryana or have passed from colleges situated in other states recognised by the Medical Council of India and are bonafide residents of Haryana are eligible to appear in the test.
Application procedure: Prospectus containing eligibility conditions, Domicile criteria and application form etc. can be obtained from the Asstt. Registrar (Acad.), Pt. B.D. Sharma University of HealthSciences , Rohtak w.e.f. 09.12.2009 on cash payment of Rs. 2,000/- (inclusive of Examination fee) at the counter or by Registered Post sending bank draft for Rs. 2,050/- in favour of "Controller of Finance, Pt.
