Engineering graduates are also eligible. Candidates should have knowledge of Economics and Mathematics at the B.A./B.Sc. pass level.

2-year Master of Science (M.S.) in Library and Information Science : 3-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in the Bachelors’ degree.

2-year M.Tech. in Computer Science : (i) Master's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics / Electronic Sciences/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/Information Technology or, (ii) Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or, GRAD-IETE or, DOEACC ‘B’ Level).

A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/her own subject would be directly called for interview. However, such candidates are required to apply in the prescribed application form.

2-year M.Tech. in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research : (i) Master's degree in Statistics or Master's degree in Mathematics with Probability and Statistics as major subjects or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent or PG diploma in SQC & OR from the Indian Statistical Institute and (ii) Knowledge of Mathematics at graduate level and knowledge of Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary level.

Junior Research Fellowships :

(a) Statistics : (i) A good academic record with M.Stat., M.A./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics or, (ii) outstanding mathematical maturity with B.Stat./B.Math., B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent degree with Statistics as the main subject.

(b) Mathematics : (i) A good academic record with M.Stat., M.Math., M.A./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics or, (ii) outstanding mathematical maturity with B.Stat./ B.Math., B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent degree with Mathematics as the main subject.

(c) Quantitative Economics : (i) A good academic record with M.S.(QE), M.Stat., M.A./ M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics/ Econometrics or, (ii) outstanding mathematical maturity with B.A./B.Sc. degree with Economics as the main subject. (e) Quality, Reliability and Operations Research : A good academic record with M. Tech./ M.E./ M.S/M. Phil or equivalent degree in Quality/Reliability/Operations Research or a good academic record with M. Stat./M. Sc./M.A. or equivalent degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the graduate level. Outstanding candidates having B.E./B. Tech./ equivalent degree in the above subjects will also be eligible.

(f) Biological Anthropology : A good academic record with M.Sc. in Anthropology (with specialization in Physical/Biological Anthropology)/ Human Biology/ Human Genetics/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics/ Biotechnology .

Eligibility: (a) Age Limits :Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years on 1st August, 2010.

The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

(b) Educational Qualifications : A candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing / Monitoring Organisation may possess M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Candidates who qualify on the basis of results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for personality test.

( c) Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination, 2010 as per Regulations given in Appendix-II of Rules for Examination published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 30th January, 2010.

Application procedure: (a) The Commission proposes to make available online application submission for Engineering Services Examination, 2010 from 6th February, 2010 to 22nd February, 2010, for which a separate notice is to be issued.

(b) The Candidates who wish to apply offline must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-lll of the Notice published in the Employment News /Rozgar Samachar) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for oneexamination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No. 011-23339366 / Fax No. 011-23387310.

Economic Development Institute (EDI)





Master of Business Administration (MBA) [Regular] - 2010

Eligibility: The candidate applying at EDIB must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalents CGPA in any discipline of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or posses an equivalent qualification obtained by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

In case of the candidates being awarded Grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree.

In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for diving obtained CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by EDIB by diving obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 15th October, 2010; or else they may be asked to withdraw from the program.

Application procedure: The prospective students will be short listed on the basis of scores of MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/FAT, with sectional cut off and thereafter situational Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and presentation on any asked topic. Those who are not having any of the above score they have to appear for Fundamental aptitude Test(FAT) that will be conducted at the ailed centers and at our own corporate office. Final Selection is on the basis of MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/E-FAT Score, Performance in the GD/PI/Presentation, Academic Performance & Work experience etc.
