KEAM 2011 is the Entrance EXAMINATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO MEDICAL/AGRICULTURE/VETERINARY/ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURE DEGREE COURSES, in KERALA

On the basis of merit in KEAM 2011 admission shall be offered in following courses

(a) Medical (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS (iv) BAMS (v) BSMS
(b) Agriculture (i) BSc. Hons. (Agriculture) (ii) BFSc. (Fisheries) (iii) BSc. Hons. (Forestry)
(c) Veterinary BVSc. & AH
(d) Engineering B.Tech. [including B.Tech. (Agricultural Engg.)/B.Tech. (Dairy Sc. & Tech.) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University]
(e) Architecture B.Arch.
Note:- Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus and who seek admission to all the above mentioned courses have to apply in the prescribed
application form issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

The CEE will conduct separate Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering and
Medical Courses. The CEE will not conduct any Entrance Examination for admission to
B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should
compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA).

KEAM 201 Eligibility Criteria

I. Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas
Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the
limited purpose of admission.
Both Keralites and Non-Keralites are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination.
Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as ‘Keralites’. Others will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralites’. Non-Keralites are classified as ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ and ‘Non-Keralite

Category-II’.
(A) Keralites :- A candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a Keralite. A candidate
will be considered as a ’Keralite’, for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if
(a) he/she or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he/she has been a resident
of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he/she has undergone
his/her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala. The
candidate should obtain relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in the
Prospectus to avail such benefit.
Candidates who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre,
claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority
showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.

(B) Non-Keralite Category-I :- ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ candidates are those who have
undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons/daughters of Employees
of the Government of India, or, employees who are serving in connection with the affairs
of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the
employees mentioned above should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2
years, or, have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a
minimum period of 2 years. Such candidates will be eligible for admission to all the seats, but they will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

(C) Non-Keralite Category-II :- Candidates who do not belong to the ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non-
Keralite Category-I’ will be treated as ‘Non-Keralite Category-II'. They are eligible for
admission ONLY to the ‘State Merit’ seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering
Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-financing Engineering
institutions under Government control. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

II. Academic Qualification :

(i) Medical Courses : Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or
examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together. Those who wish to take admission to MBBS/BDS courses should secure 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (As per the guidelines issued by Medical Council of India).

Candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission.

Eligibility of BSc. Degree holders : Those who apply based on their BSc. Degree, for
admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS Courses, should have obtained their BSc.

Degree with one of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology as
Main, and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and
Subsidiaries taken together, provided they have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

(ii) Agriculture/Veterinary Courses : Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. Candidates seeking admission to BVSc. & AH course, in addition to the qualification prescribed above, should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together (as per the regulation of Veterinary Council of India). Candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission.

Note: Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 10 marks each for Paper I and Paper II in the Medical Entrance Examination will be included in the Medical rank list for admission to Ayurveda/Siddha/Homoeo/Veterinary/Agriculture/Fisheries/Forestry Courses.

SC/ST candidates will not have any minimum mark restriction for inclusion in the rank list.

(iii) Engineering Courses : The rank list for Engineering Courses will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and the Qualifying Examination. The marks secured for the subjects concerned (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology) in the Second year Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination will be added to the marks secured in the Entrance Examination for preparing the rank list. The marks of the Kerala State Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary Examination will be taken as it is given in the mark list. The marks of other Boards will be considered after effecting the normalization procedure as explained in clause 9.7.4 (b) of the Prospectus 2011. Only those candidates who have secured aminimum of 10 marks each for Paper I and Paper II will be included in the rank list. SC/ST candidates will not have any minimum mark restriction for inclusion in the rank list.
Candidates who have passed the qualifying Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or
examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/ Biology put together are eligible for admission. Those candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination should attach the copy of mark list of Qualifying Examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the application. Those candidates who have appeared/appearing for the Qualifying Examination also are eligible to take the Entrance Examination. They should submit the copy of the mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer on or before 31.05.2011 in the Office of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
Candidates having Three Year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical
Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. They will be eligible for admission only to the Special
Reservation Quota of 4 seats reserved under DE category. Such candidates should prove
their academic eligibility on the date of admission. However, the Diploma holders are not
eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

(iv) Architecture Course : Candidates who have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School
Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with
Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate/Candidates who
have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks / Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates will have to score 40% marks (80 marks out of 200) in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).
Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates should also have obtained 40% marks in NATA, as per guidelines of Council of Architecture. (For details, visit www.nata.in).
Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should also submit the Application form to the CEE. There is no State level Entrance Examination for this purpose. However such
candidates should write the National Aptitude Test for Architecture and should forward the NATA score and mark list of the qualifying examination to the CEE on or before
31.05.2011.

III. Relaxation of marks in the Qualifying Examination : For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs (Rupees Four Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only). SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. But candidates belonging to SEBC categories, seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses, need 45% marks in Biology/Biotechnology and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together, in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in Medical Entrance Examination.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and
Biology/Biotechnology put together in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in the
Entrance Examination for seeking admission to MBBS/BDS Courses. Candidates with
Locomotory Disability between 40% and 70% need only 45% marks for Biology/Biotechnology and 45% marks for Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry taken together as academic eligibility for MBBS course. They need only 45% marks in the Entrance Examination to qualify for MBBS course.

IV. Age : The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2011.


KEAM 201 Schedule for the Entrance Examinations :
The Entrance Examinations will be held at all the District Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE), on the dates mentioned below as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
Engineering Entrance Examination (For Engineering courses except Architecture)
18.04.2011 Monday 10.00 am to 12.30 pm Paper-I : Physics & Chemistry.
19.04.2011 Tuesday 10.00 am to 12.30 pm Paper-II: Mathematics.
Medical Entrance Examination (For Medical, Agriculture and Veterinary Courses)
20.04.2011 Wednesday 10.00 am to 12.30 pm Paper-I : Chemistry & Physics.
20.04.2011 Wednesday 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm Paper-II: Biology.

KEAM 2011 Application Forms :
(a) Only one application need be submitted for the Entrance Examinations for admission to one or more of Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Engineering and Architecture courses.
(b) SC/ST candidates should apply in Pink coloured application forms and all other candidates should apply in the General application form (Light Green). Candidates under ‘Other Eligible Communities' (OEC) should apply in the General application form. Candidates who are children of Inter-Caste Married Couple, of which one is SC/ST, should apply in the form meant for SC/ST.
(c) Application Fee : General candidates - Rs.700/-
SC/ST candidates - Rs.350/-
Note:- Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40,000/- can have Application Form free of cost from the District Offices of the Scheduled Tribes Development Department on production of Community Certificate and
Income Certificate.
(d) Application Distribution Centres : The Application form and Prospectus will be distributed from 19.01.2011 to 14.02.2011 through selected branches of Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State. The amount towards the fee of application is to be remitted in cash at the Post Offices. The list of Post Offices, selected as sales centres, is appended separately.
Application Forms will not be available by post or sold from the office of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
(e) Application form : The Prospectus, an OMR Data sheet and an envelope bearing the
address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be supplied along with the
application form. Candidates should ensure that the Application number printed in the
Application Form, OMR Data Sheet and on the cover are the same.
(f) Facility for applying online : Keralite candidates who do not claim any reservation benefit or those belonging to Non-Keralite category can apply ‘Online’ through the website ‘www.cee-kerala.org’. On successful submission of the data online, an application number will be generated. The candidates should take a printout of this application. The application fee Rs.700/- can be remitted in any branch of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) using the chalan contained in the printout of the application. The Printout of the application complete in all respects along with original chalan certified by the Bank authorities and other requisite certificates should be forwarded to the Office of the CEE before the last date specified for submission of application forms. Candidates who do not have access to State Bank of Travancore (SBT) can attach a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram, as application fee along with the application form (Application Number and Name of applicant should be written on the back of the Demand Draft). Online application process will be completed only on receipt of the printout of the application along with all requisite certificates, in the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
(g) Candidates opting DUBAI (UAE) as the Centre for Entrance Examination : Candidates, who choose ‘DUBAI’ as their centre for Entrance Examinations, should submit along with their filled in application form, a Demand Draft for Rs.8,500/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Five Hundred only), drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Those applying online should enclose Demand Drafts for Rs.700/- as Application fee and Rs.8,500/- as centre fee. The candidates opting Dubai centre should note that the examinations are conducted as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
5. Last date and time for receipt of filled in Application Forms : The filled in Application
Form along with the OMR DATA SHEET and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application Form, are to be sent in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application form, so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on 14.02.2011 (Monday), by Hand Delivery/Registered
Post/Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also.
6. Belated Applications : Belated applications will be rejected. Candidates are therefore
advised to apply well in advance. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.
7. Certificates that are to be obtained in the body of the Application should be obtained in
the body of the Application form itself.
8. Incomplete or defective applications will be summarily REJECTED and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
9. The Entrance Examinations and the subsequent allotments will be based on the various
provisions laid down in the Prospectus approved by the Government. Prospectus for the
KEAM Entrance Examinations 2011 is available on the website of the Commissioner for
Entrance Examinations, “www.cee-kerala.org”. Candidates are requested to go through
the various provisions in the Prospectus before submitting their applications.

NIMCET 2011 Online Application Form - How to apply for NIMCET 2011?

Eligible candidates are required to fill in web enabled on-line application form from any place of their convenience. Candidates are required to create user login Id and password for themselves and should use the same as and when required. Candidates are not permitted to create multiple Ids’ in any case. If there is any problem in login creation then candidate are required to contact Secretary NIMCET 2011.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates are required to read the instructions carefully before filling the online application form (See Page 13). They are also required to take a print out of the online filled in online application form and send it by speed post along with copies of mark sheets of Matriculation, High School and Graduation and a demand draft of Rs. 1500/- for open /OBC and Rs.750/- for SC/ST candidates in favor of “NIMCET2011” payable at SBI, MANIT Branch Bhopal at the following address so as to reach on or before Monday, April 11, 2011.

NIMCET 2011 Fees

The fee for entrance examination and counseling is Rs.1500 /- for OPEN/OBC and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST candidates. Candidates will have to submit a demand draft of appropriate amount, depending up on their category, in favor of “NIMCET2011”, payable at Bhopal. Candidates are required to write their name, address and mobile/phone number at the back side of the demand draft.

NIMCET 2011 Exam Pattern

NIMCET2011 examination will be of two hours and question paper will consist of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question in Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. Each correctly answered question will carry FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to NEGATIVE ONE mark.

MATHMATICS:(45QUESTIONS)
Set Theory:Concepts of sets, Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.
Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions. Algebra: Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.
Coordinate Geometry: Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.
Calculus: Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of function by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas.
Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.
ANALYTICAL ABILITY AND LOGICAL REASONING: (40 questions)

Indian Nationals securing 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST) in each of the examinations of

Such candidates shall have to furnish the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NIMCET2011 preferably at the time of Counseling/Admission but not later than 31st August, 2011, failing which, their admission may be cancelled by the respective NITs.State quota is applicable only for the state of Tamil Nadu .Candidate passed / appeared for qualifying exam from Tamil Nadu will be eligible for Tamil Nadu State Quota of NIT – Trichurapalli. SRM University Entrance Examination 2011 Eligibility Criteria

1.For B.Tech, aggregate of 60% is required in PCM combination  at Class XII with 50% marks individually.For Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Food & Process Engineering, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering:  60% aggregate in Mathematics or Biology, Physics and Chemistry and minimum of 50% individually.
2.For BArch.,Pass in Class XII having aggregate of 60% with English and Mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum score of 40% in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
3.For PG courses,minimum of 60% is required in the qualifying exam.

For admission into M.Sc in Wildlife Programs

Applications have been invited for admission to 2 year course in M.Sc Wildlife Science (affiliated to the Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat) commencing from June, 2011 at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.

ELIGIBILITY:
I)  Bachelor of Science degree with Biological Science as a major subject – Bachelor degree holder in Veterinary, Forestry, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences are also eligible.
ii) Minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2)
iii) Minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc.

Applicants appearing for final year/semester B.Sc. exam are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate till 2nd year and on completion of their degree will achieve a minimum of 55% aggregate. Foreign nationals who do not have English as their native language should provide proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS Score) for admission to this course.

AGE LIMIT:
The age limit is 25 years with relaxation of five years for reservation candidates, and for those aspirants who are working in Forest and Wildlife Departments it is 35 years as on 1st July, 2011.

A recent passport size color photo in JPEG/JPG format (max 200 KB) should be kept ready for upload at the time of online submission. The date and application number details created on submission of the online application will be sent to the candidates via his/her email id provided and so it is instructed that the email id given is valid.

2. In case of complexity in filling online application the same can be downloaded from the website link:  http://www.wii.gov.in/images/wii/msc/XIII/application_form.pdf and sent by Registered/Speed Post along with self-attested legible photocopies of educational requirement certificates and mark sheets (X, XII and Graduation), proof of age, certificate if belonging to SC/ST/OBC, recent passport size color photographs (2 Nos.) and application fee in form of a Bank Draft.

Applicants who apply online also need to send the above mentioned documents by Registered/Speed Post and indicate on the envelope the Application Number and Date of Submission generated while submitting the online application.

Fee:
The application fee for Indian Candidates is Rs. 300/- paid in the form of a bank draft in favor of Director, Wildlife Institute of India payable at Dehradun. Application fee is exempted for SC/ST candidates. Foreign nationals are required to pay an application fee of US$ 50.

JNU MBA Admission Entrance Exam 2011

JNU - Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi offers MBA (Master of Business Administration) program of two years’ duration. The admission is offered on the basis of entrance exam, group discussion and interview.
