University of Pune invites application for Newly introduced Integrated M.Tech. - Ph.D. Program and Ph.D. program in the Faculty of Technology.

These are the Programmes based on interdisciplinary approach involving industry sponsorship.

{dl Computer and information Technology

Candidate should indicate his/her preference for the area.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) M.Tech - Ph. D. Programme : A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Masters Degree in Science with minimum 60% marks. Relaxation of 5% marks in case of the candidates belonging to SC / ST categories.

(b) Ph.D. Programme : Masters Degree in Engineering / Technology with minimum 60% marks. Relaxation of 5% marks in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

How To Apply

Application Fee:
Rs. 250/- for SCIST candidates
Rs. 500/- for other candidates

to be paid in the form of DD in favour of "Registrar, University of Pune, Pune payable at Pune.

Admission to M Tech /MSc Programmes

Applications are invited for admission to the following M.Tech. / M.Sc. Programmes:

1. M.Tech. with specialization in:

Manufacturing Technology & Automation, Computer Engg., Networking, Information Technology, Power System & Drives, Electronics Engg., VLSI Tech, Electronics and Communication Engg.

2. M.Sc. with specialization in Mathematics, Physics

3. Ph.D. with specialization in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical & Electronics, Physics, Maths & MBA Department

Eligibility Criteria

For Mathematics: B.Sc/B.Sc. (Hons) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) with Mathematics as regular subject at graduation level from a recognized University/Institute.

For M.Sc. (Physics): B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) with Physics as regular subject at graduation level from a recognized Univ./Institute.

For M.Tech. Courses:

B.E./B.Tech in concerned discipline with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale. However in case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying examination or a CGPA of 5.75 on a 10 point scale is required.

How To Apply

Application form is to be down-loaded from University Website i.e.
www.ymcaie.ac.in and submit the same along with a DD of Rs.600/- (Rs 150/- for SC/ST) in the favour of ‘Registrar, YMCAUST Faridabad’ payable at Faridabad by 25.07.2011 (04.00 PM).

Candidates seeking admission should submit application complete in all respects on the prescribed form in their own handwriting and must also enclose attested copies of the following:

(i) Certificates showing the detailed marks in the qualifying examination on the basis of which admission is being sought.

(ii) Valid and qualified GATE Score Certificate. ( for M.Tech. only).
(iii) Character Certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.
(iv) Matriculation/ Hr. Secondary Examination Certificate as a proof of age.

(v) Valid Certificate of SC/ST from the Competent Authority, in case admission is sought against SC/ ST category.

(vi) Medical Fitness Certificate from a Gazetted/Govt. Medical Officer.

(vii) No Objection Certificate / Sponsorship Certificate / Additional Certificate (if applicable).

Eligibility Criteria

(i) The candidate should attain the age of 17 years or more on 31.12.2011

(ii) The candidate must have passed following examinations:

Senior Secondary certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education Haryana or equivalent certificate examination with a minimum50 % marks in the aggregate in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English taken together and pass the qualifying examination. In the case of SC/ST candidates the marks obtained should be read as 40%.
