Eligibility
A Candidate must possess postgraduate degree in General Surgery (MS) /Equivalent qualification of General Surgery recognized by Medical Council of India.

Candidate who have appeared for MS General Surgery can also apply but their result must be declared before 31/8/11

No other mode of payment shall be acceptable.

Employed candidate must get their application forwarded through proper channel with No Objection Certificate of the employer failing which their form shall not be entertained.

IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Admission for Spring Semester 2011-12 Notification


Applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D. programmes of the institute in all disciplines of Engineering & Technology, Science, Architecture & Planning, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management.

Eligibility

(a) Masters degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Urban & Rural Planning / Pharmacy / Computer Applications of 3 years duration after graduation in respective discipline or equivalent with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the Institute wherever letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) where marks are awarded. OR

(b) Masters degree in Sciences/Humanities & Social Sciences/ Management in respective discipline or equivalent with a valid NET (CSIR/UGC)/NET (LS) or valid GATE or valid GPAT score and minimum
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the Institute where letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks where marks are awarded. OR

(c) B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree or equivalent in respective discipline with excellent academic record (with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 70% marks) and in possession of a valid GATE score.

The admission eligibility requirements may be relaxed to 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, or to 55% marks to the following categories:

a. SC/ST candidates with Master’s degree.

b. Any category of PD (Persons with disabilities) Candidate holding B.Tech. degree or equivalent degree.

c. Academic staff of the Institute who has an experience of more than 5 years.

How To Apply
To apply the candidates are required to download Bank Challan Proforma along with application form from www.iitr.ernet.in/admissions and then deposit the requisite fee of Rs. 200/- in any branch of Punjab National Bank throughout the country.

The Bank Challan will be printed in triplicate. It is only available on Institute website and pay the fees through it. Bank will retain a copy and will return two copies to you. In those two copies, retain the Candidate’s copy with you and attach the IITR’s copy with the application form. OR

In case Punjab National Bank Branch is not available at his/her place or nearby place, then send the demand draft of Rs.200/- in favour of Chairman PG Admission, IIT Roorkee payable at Roorkee.

The completed application form should be sent to Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee in A4 size envelop only.

Note:- Separate application be sent for separate departments/centres and for each department/ centre separate fees will be required with each completed application form.

JAM 2012 for Admission to M.Sc. programmes in IITs

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay

Admission to M.Sc. (Two Year), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other post-bachelor’s degree programmes

JAM 2012 Eligibility

The candidates who qualify in JAM 2012 shall have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs.

(i) At least 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s).

(ii) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30 September 2012.

At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. At the time of registration, the admitted candidates may also have to undergo a physical fitness test by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute. In case a candidate is not found physically fit to pursue his/her chosen course of study, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.

Admission to Ph.D. programme

The CSIR-CDRI invites applications for admission to its Ph.D. programmes from MSc and M. Pharm students in the relevant areas of research in the Institute

Eligibility

a) M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemical/ pharmaceutical sciences and qualified in CSIR-UGC-NET, ICMR, DBT examination for Junior Research Fellowship. The fellowship should be valid as on the date of joining for the session commencing January 2012.

b) GPAT qualified second year, 3rd Semester students pursuing M.S. (Pharm) or M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutical/Pharmacology disciplines only may apply for GATE-JRF positions tenable at CDRI from July 2012.

Selection process

All applications will be screened by a committee. Only those candidates who are found suitable will be called for interview/counselling at CDRI, Lucknow between 15-20 November, 2011.

The committee can set their own criteria for shortlisting the candidates. No TA will be paid by CDRI and candidates will have to make their own arrangements for 2-3 days stay at Lucknow.

The number of students to be selected will depend upon the positions available with scientists at CDRI. The decision of the committee with regard to selection of candidates shall be final.

AIIMS PG Entrance Examination 2012 Application Form - How To Apply

The Prospectus is available on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org and must be read carefully by the applicants before applying. The Application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- for SC/ ST candidates).

A candidate can submit application Online through internet only. The candidates can pay the application fee through a Challan Form (to be downloaded from the internet while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). Transaction / Processing Fee as applicable will be payable to the Bank by the candidates.

AIEEE 2012 Online Exam Centers

AIEEE 2012 Online Examination shall be held from May 7 to Mat 25 2012 in following indian cities-

Common Entrance Examination for Design CEED – 2012

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay - IITB

The objective of CEED is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design, involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, and communication skills.

CEED 2012 is a qualifying examination for the following postgraduate programmes in design:

(a) Master of Design Programmes

IISc Bangalore: M.Des. in Product Design and Engineering*

IIT Bombay: M.Des. in (i) Industrial Design, (ii) Visual Communication, (iii) Animation, (iv) Interaction Design, (v) Mobility and Vehicle Design.

IIT Delhi: M.Des. in Industrial Design

IIT Guwahati: M.Des. in Design

IIT Kanpur: M.Des. in Industrial Design*

*GATE qualified candidates will also be considered for admission to these programmes.

(b) Ph.D Programmes in Design (IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay)

CEED 2012 Eligibility

Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following, by July 2012:

(i) Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design or equivalent

(ii) Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2)

(iii) B.F.A. (4 year professional programme, after 10+2)

(iv) G.D. Art (5 year programme after 10th) with one year professional experience

(v) Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications

The candidate is responsible for showing eligibility while seeking admission to the specific programme in which they are interested.

There is no age limit and a candidate can appear in CEED any number of times.

CEED 2012 Mode of Payment

Application Fee (non-refundable) is Rs.950/- (Rs.475/- for SC/ST/PD Applicants)

There are two modes of fee payment. You may choose any of the following options:

SBI Cash Voucher (through any SBI Branch)

In this case, after filling the Application Form a SBI Cash Voucher is generated along with the Application Printout. It contains your name and other details. You have to take this to any SBI Branch within India and make the payment. You have to enclose the IITB copy of the SBI Cash Voucher along with the Application Printout.

Demand Draft

In this case, a Demand Draft of the appropriate amount in favour of 'IIT Bombay', payable at Mumbai should be obtained prior to filling of the Application Form. Enter the Demand Draft details while filling the Application Form. The Draft should have the validity of 6 months.

The completed Application Printout, along with IITB Copy of the SBI Cash VoucherOR the Demand Draft (write your name and application number on the back of the DD), and other enclosures (if any), are to be submitted in an envelope to GATE Office IIT Bombay on or before 14 October, 2011
