MHT CET 2012

Directorate of Technical and Medical Education MHT CET 2012 for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and Medical Courses

Applications are invited for admission to the following programmes:

1) Govt. / Municipal Corp. / Govt. Aided Colleges and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2012) of Health Sciences degree courses.

2) Govt. / Govt. Aided / University Managed Colleges / University Departments / Autonomous Colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2012) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses

3) BVSc & AH degree course.

Eligibility Criteria

The qualifying Examination for appearing at MHT-CET-2012 is HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination with the conditions for eligibility as defined in the respective brochure(s). Maharashtra State candidates appearing for HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination or who have passed their qualifying examination earlier i.e. 2011 or before and desire to appear for the MHT- CET 2012 will receive their application form from their respective Jr. College / School (from where they have passed / appearing qualifying examination).

The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1995 to be eligible to appear for MHT-CET-2012. However, for admission to Ayurved and Unani courses, candidate must be born on or before 1st October 1995.

The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Preference form filling as per proforma.

Application Form - How To Apply

A single Application Form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be made available from 19.03.2012.

The schedule and place of receiving and submission of Application Form is as per following:

• At respective Jr. Collage / High School
• At Divisional Authorities {For candidates who have appeared / passed HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination from Outside Maharashtra) : 19.03.2012 to 31.03.2012

All the three brochures (Health Science, Engineering & Pharmacy) are available on the websites of DMER (www.dmer.org ) and DTE (www.dte.org.in ). Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the respective MHT-CET-2012 brochures, before purchasing the application form.

The cost of the Application Form along with the three information Brochures of MHT-CET-2012 including Examination fee is Rs.700/- for open category and all Outside Maharashtra candidates and Rs.500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State Only). This amount is not refundable.

The candidates from Outside Maharashtra (OMS) can purchase Application Form and information Brochure(s) of MHT-CET 2012 from any Divisional Authority office as mentioned in Annexure-A by submitting Demand Draft of Rs.700/- drawn in favor of "Competent Authority, MH-CET Mumbai" payable at Mumbai, drawn on any Scheduled Commercial Bank.

All candidates who for any reason whatsoever are not able to receive Application Forms through the School / Jr. College should collect it from office of Divisional Authority of his / her area (by giving a Demand draft as detailed above), but he / she has to submit it through his/her School / Jr. College (college where he / she studied 12th Std).

For Candidates who have passed HSC or Equivalent exam from Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), the place of submission of application Form, collection of Receipt cum identity card and Admit Card shall be as given in the following order.

Defence (D1 & D2): Divisional Authority of their Parent's district of domicile.

Defence (D3): Divisional Authority of their place of posting.

State Govt. Employee (Transferred Out of Maharashtra): Divisional Authority of place of original / initial posting before transfer / deputation.

State Govt. Employee (Transferred back to Maharashtra): Divisional Authority of place of posting

Central Govt. Employee (Transferred to Maharashtra): Divisional Authority of place of posting

MKB candidates of Bidar District & Gulbarga District: Notified College Govt. Medical College, Latur.

MKB candidates of Belgaum District & Karwar District: Notified College - R.C.S.M. Govt. Medical College, Kolhapur

CET Karnataka 2012 Engineering Medical Entrance Examination

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Common Entrance Test 2012

Application are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the award of Jammu & Kashmiri Migrant for registration for the "Common Entrance Test" - 2012 for admission to first year Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the government in the professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2012 - 2013

A candidate must appear for the common entrance test conducted by the Karnataka examination authority , for the PCB subject in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga Courses and PCM subject in case of admission to Engineering / Technology Courses for admission to Architecture courses the candidate must for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the council of the architecture.

Eligibility Criteria

For Medical Dental Courses, The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group should secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in PCB subject in The common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes (category - 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and Common Entrance Test.

For Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga Courses, The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in The Common Entrance Test.

In case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes (category - 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination. For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy / & Yoga Courses, the candidates should have completed the age of 17 Year as on 31st December 2012.

For Engineering / Technology Courses, The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with physics and Mathematics along with chemistry / Bio - Technology / Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in The Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes (category - 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B) the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination.

For Architecture Courses, The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subject in the qualifying examination (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes and person with disability of metal retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia), and should compulsorily appear for NATA and get a minimum of 40% in it. (Including scheduled castes, scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes)

Application Form - How To Apply

Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the school / colleges located within the state of Karnataka where the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of demand draft for Rs - 650/- to the principal in advance, drawn in favor of " The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore", pay able at Bangalore and RS - 500/- for students belonging to scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and category - 1 Repeaters and ex - students who have passed the qualifying examination within the state of Karnataka before 2012 should also submit the demand draft for the above said amount to the respective schools / colleges .

The last date of submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of school & colleges within Karnataka will be 09 / 03 / 2012

Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka Candidates i.e., who fulfills the eligibility Conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination out the state of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by "speed post", by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25cm X 30cm along with a demand draft for Rs - 750/- drawn in favor of "The Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority Bangalore", payable at Bangalore and Karnataka.

Candidates residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs - 5000/- The contents on the self addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words " Request for CET - 2012 brochure " and should be sent to the office address of executive director by " Speed Post".

The brochure will be supplied to the school / colleges in Karnataka & also to the students who are residing outside the state of Karnataka on or after 22 /03 /2012
