Jamia to offer meta university courses

The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi will start Meta University course in ‘public health’ from July 2012 admission session. The Meta University course project was declared by three top universities of Delhi
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi, and University of Delhi (DU) New Delhi

A PG Diploma program of two semester duration will take of in 2012-13 academic session and later it will be changed to a masters program in the next academic session. The course will be interdisciplinary in nature and the Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, economics, sociology and social works departments contributing to it. Under new Meta University project the collaborating university will be providing credits to students. According to news sources three main study areas are finalized yet; climate change, public health and education.

Important Information about IIT JEE 2012 candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) – Minority category, if you are one please read



Attention : IIT-JEE 2012 candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) – Minority category

If you belong to OBC(NCL) Minority category and would like to claim the seats reserved for this category kindly take immediate action as mentioned below:

    You are requested to submit a declaration/undertaking stating that you belong to OBC(NCL) – Minority category and you are entitled for 4.5% of seats reserved exclusively for this category.
    The following declaration/undertaking should reach the respective zonal IIT on whose website you are able to view the contents of your IIT-JEE 2012 application.
    Last date for submitting the declaration/undertaking is 20th March, 2012.
    Note that OBC(NCL) – Minority candidates are also considered as OBC(NCL) category candidates, as well as General Category candidates provided they meet the criteria defined for these categories.

UGC NET June 2012 Exam Pattern

The University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2012 will be conducted on June 24, 2012. This examination will be fully objective type examination
; however, how actual UGC NET 2012 Exam Paper will look like; we will be able to know only after exam over. The UGC NET June 2012 aspirants, please submit latest question papers with me to share among hundreds other UGC NET future aspirants.

The UGC NET June 2012 Exam Pattern will be as discussed below

UGC NET June 2012 Exam will be Objective Type Examination
UGC NET June 2012 Exam will come in 3 papers.
Paper I will consists of 60 questions of which only 50 required to be attempted. The maximum marks allotted for a question is 2. Thus question paper will be 100 marks aggregate. Time allowed to attempt this paper will be 75 minutes.
Paper II will consists of 50 questions, all questions will be compulsory. The maximum marks allotted for a question is 2. Thus question paper will be 100 marks aggregate. Time allowed to attempt this paper will be 75 minutes.
Paper III will consists of 75 questions, all questions will be compulsory. The maximum marks allotted for a question is 2. Thus question paper will be 150 marks aggregate. Time allowed to attempt this paper will be 150 minutes.
There will be No Negative Marking in UGC NET June 2012
Minimum Cut-Off Marks for UGC NET 2012 June Exam

Paper I- General Category 40%, OBC/Creamy Layer 35%, PH/VH/SC/ST 35%
Paper II- General Category 40%, OBC/Creamy Layer 35%, PH/VH/SC/ST 35%
Paper II- General Category 50%, OBC/Creamy Layer 45% rounded to 68 and not less, PH/VH/SC/ST 40%

Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required marks in each Paper, separately, as mentioned above, will be considered for final preparation of result.
However, the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by UGC before declaration of result.
