Minimum Requirements in Terms of Eligibility

The candidates should have B.E. /B.Tech /M.Sc. or equivalent degree in the discipline as mentioned above with not less than 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination. There is no relaxation in academic requirement for any category / caste of candidates. The candidates appearing B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. (final semester) examination may also apply for the above programmes. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in aggregate latest by 30th September 2012

Financial Support to Meritorious M.Tech students without GATE/NET score (Except Sponsored) may be considered for award of fellowship under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II).

NIT Rourkela M.Tech 2012 Slow Pace Program

M.Tech programme is also offered in slow pace (3 years) to candidates, employed (including self employment) in industry / organizations in and around Rourkela. It is available to students of both regular and sponsored categories within the approved seats. Eligibility criteria, selection process and fees are same as those for regular or sponsored students studying in normal pace. Candidates enrolling for M.Tech (Slow pace) programme are required to take one year leave from their sponsoring organization after successful completion of course work to complete their project work unless permitted by NIT Rourkela to carry out the project in the place of employment on the strength of facilities available in the sponsored company/organization.

Applicants are required to submit online application at http://application.nitrkl.ac.in following the instructions. Applicants are advised to(a) use Internet Explorer browser version 6.0 or above, (b) read the advertisement carefully, (c) read the instructions to fill up the online application form (d) fill up and submit the online application form accordingly and (e) take the print out of the online application submitted with setting Paper size : A4, and margins as Left : 0.165, Right : 0.165, Top : 0.16 and Bottom : 0.165 inches. Applicants are required to send (i) The print out of the application submitted online, (ii) A non-refundable demand draft [Issued on or after the date of advertisement] of `500/-(Rupees five hundred only) in favour of Director, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, payable at any bank in Rourkela. CSRI CFTRI M.Sc Food Tech Entrance Test 2012

The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore is a laboratory of CSIR (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research). The institute offers M.Sc Food Technology program of 2 year duration. The degree will be awarded by Mysore University. The CSIR-CFTRI will conduct M.Sc Food Tech Entrance 2012-14 for admission.


Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture / Engineering / Technology. Mathematics as one of the subjects in Plus 2 or Pre-University or at Degree level is compulsory for admission.

Applicants may kindly see for eligibility criteria prior to applying, as the Bank Demand Draft of
Rs.500/- is non-refundable.


Minimum Marks Requirement :
(i) 55% in optional subjects of B.Sc. pass course (50% for SC / ST category)
