ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR DIPLOMA COURSES IN GOVERNMENT AND AIDED POLYTECHNICS IN KARNATAKA FOR THE YEAR 2012-13
1. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Government and Aided
Polytechnics in Karnataka for the year 2012-13. This year onwards, the rank list will be
prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained/gained in the Entrance Exam and on
that Rank list basis, according to the Govt. order and Rules & Regulations, the admission
will be done through Karnataka Examinations Authority, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram,
Bangalore through centralised counselling process.
2. Candidates from Karnataka and Horanadu/Gadinadu Kannadigas are only eligible for these admissions.
3. Eligibility Criteria:
Diploma Engineering Courses
Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics and Others.(Total 27 Courses) - The candidate should have passed Karnataka S.S.L.C or Equivalent Examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate.
Sound Recording & Cinematography Courses (Total 02 Courses) - The candidate should have passed Karnataka P.U.C- II Science / PCM or Equivalent Examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate.
Diploma Non-Engineering Courses
Commercial Practice and Apparel Design & Fabrication Technology (Total 02 Courses) - The candidate should have passed Karnataka S.S.L.C or Equivalent Examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate.
Library Science and Information Management / Business Administration (Total 02 Courses)- The candidate should have passed Karnataka S.S.L.C or Equivalent Examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate.
4. The application and information brochure may be obtained from any of the following Govt. Polytechnics (Document Verification Centres) from 25-05-2012 to 05-06-2012 by paying the prescribed fee (GM & Others Rs.100/- and SC / ST / Cat-1 Rs.50/-) in any branch of the State Bank of Mysore through bank challan in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, bearing A/C No.64097386381.
5. The last date for submission of filled application along with relevant documents in any
Of the following Govt. Polytechnics (Document Verification Centers) is on or before
05-06-2012, 5.00 p.m. The eligible candidates must collect the Acknowledgement Card
duly signed by the Nodal officer/Principal without fail.
