CBSE opens Helpline to beat exam stress

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi opens counseling helpline for students writing CBSE School Board Examination. The helpline offers psychological help to students in the times of examination preparation and during the examination days. This is an outreach program carefully crafted keeping in focus the heterogeneity of students’ population and geographical spread. The counseling is free and voluntary.
CBSE Schools in India and overseas offers counseling session free of cost. According to different new sources, this year 66 Principals, trained counselors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and few psychologists will participate in Tele-Counseling and address exam related psychological problems. Of these 56 are located in India and 10 in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nepal, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman and Tokyo. Students in India writing CBSE Board Exam 2012 can seek counseling help by dialing toll free no 1800 11 8004. HCS declares revised result

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) announced revised results of Prelims - Haryana Civil Services (executive branch) and Allied Services, 2011. The results were revised on the directions of the high court of Punjab and Haryana on the matter related wrong questions and answer key. DU links to 500 institutes for NKN launch


On Wednesday the education sector of India realizes a dream come true, when University of Delhi (DU) connected virtually to 500 national institutes online for the launch of National Knowledge Network i.e. NKN lecture series. The NKN is largest electronic network in the education sector.
The lecture was delivered by Sam Pitroda and Michael Sandel. The title of the lecture was “democratising information, justice, equality and the rule of law”. Sam Pitroda is policymaker, innovator and entrepreneur; he is the Advisor to Prime Minister of India. Michael Sandel is American Political Philosopher and Professor at Harvard University. The Gwyer Hall of the Delhi University made a mark a in online learning history connecting 11 institutes via 2 way link, while 500 odd institutes across India were connected via one way link to witness the event. Tata Institute, IIT Mumbai and Guwahati, IIM Calcutta and Pune University are the some top institutes of India that were on Gwyer Hall virtually.
