During summers everyone looks to gain some work experience and earn some money too. But amount is often meager. However, for IIM Indore students, this summer placement season was celebration time. According to Times of India Dated 7 November 2017, the highest sum offered to summer trainees of IIM Indore was INR 3 lacs, however, average sum was 1.24 lac. These students were part of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).
The average stipend offered was 20% higher than the preceding year. The PGP program has largest number of students totaling to 543, of which 96 are enrolled for IPM programme. This year 150 recruiters visited the IIM Indore campus for summer placement. Finance and Sales and Marketing were preferred choices among students.
Some of the major recruiters were Aditya Birla Group, American Express, Earnst & Young, Amazon, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, General Electric, IMS Consulting Group, Macquarie Investment Bank, Nestle, P&G, Synergy Consulting, United Breweries
