How to stay productive and learn with ease

In my opinion, a person is most productive when his / her all departments are working normally, this includes, body, mind and soul (the connection between body and mind). The term Soul is often connected with spirituality, see detailed definition here https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/soul.

Noises are many, shall you listen to every advice, shall you attend all type of classes, online, offline, crash course, full time etc., etc., etc.. The answer is NO. Whatever you do with full concentration is the most productive part of your productivity system. That is the stage when you focus on One Task, outside noises do not disturb you. Whether you read algebra or go through a history page or you are setting your OKRs for your company, it's completely normal, not tiring and you are into it.

OKRs that stands for Objectives and Key Results. Students can set OKRs for college programmes. To know about OKRs see official website https://www.whatmatters.com/

Listen everyone, but time is limited. Try to listen to those who have already achieved it, who has already cracked an examination, who are already working and taking a product to the next level. Learn from Doers, Hack Gaps, those who are doers will infuse a positive sense of doing in you. Books are many, magazines are many, websites are limitless, AI is bringing you new knowledge, online classes are there, videos can teach you anytime, anywhere, but hold on, before you decide to take that class and learn from lectures, chose certain options, give them a try, and then select one that fits you and not your classmate or a work colleague necessarily.

Learning from different sources is awesome, and knowing more will take you close to success where you will say, Aha, I have cracked this. But in the heavy load of information, being human, and in the quest of to know more, get more, we forget the fact that we have only 24 Hrs in a day, our energy level is certain and our body and mind need continuous resources to strengthen. Information load is so high that we do many things, follow many methods to achieve quick success, we go by stories because stories are interesting. In all this, the most important thing we forget is how much to do around what?

For example, to learn set theory, you can follow your syllabus, take 4/5 mock tests, and buy one guidebook and practice book to increase your problem-solving speed. There is no need at all to solve problems from 10 books that are recommended as marketing gimmicks. Yes, you heard it right. Books are marketed that way too. And no wrong in one sush practice but when you buy a new practice book when exams are nearing, I think that may cause you distraction.

When you solve problems from one practice book, repeat solving them again, do it 2/3 times, you will notice, your approach of problem solving is different as well as time taken.

Entrance Examinations test you not only for knowledge but also for your way of approach to solve a problem. This is not about memorizing or learning. Indeed, this is about how beneficial you would be to college and industry after completing the coursework. The way of approach to solve any problem comes from practice. Yes, when you can do more, do it, that is completely fine, but not meeting your tennis buddy till the exams are over will not help you in cracking Bernoulli's Theorem.

Keep a balance, and you can crack any exam with learning; and learning is the way you approach to solve a problem. Seats are limited, demands are high, no problem in that, it's not about one test only. It's meaningless, if your test preparation won't teach you a problem solving approach, and that approach will come from a selection of a few books, few classes, and a few mock tests. Strike a balance, Hack Gaps. Crack any examination that you want to.

Under preparation and Over preparation both hampers your performance. Before you begin must identify your topics and classify those according to difficulty level. This way you will know how much emphasis to go give on what? Once you know you can prepare better and prevent under doing or over doing.

Inspiration source: Vox.Com, i was searching internet for some articles and found Vox article, the website is pay walled, i read only a few lines before it shown Paywall features, but headline was so interesting that I read it somehow and this idea came in mind perhaps helpful to you test takers. I have not paid them; they need a mention for great work.

Ganapati Festival in Mumbai spreads love, joy, boost business and give a reason to strive

Career Care wishes all of you Happy Ganapati Fest 2025. The students and anyone can see the die hard spirit of Mumbai during Ganapati Festival. This business capital is known for Never Stop attitude and it keeps moving. What is special about Ganapati Festival is you will see the spirit of help in everyone. Go to any Ganapati Worship Place. Nobody will ask who you are, from where you came, why you came, no questions, you worship or not completely your wish. You can stay in one such place and enjoy watching or helping organizers or simply sit  idle and relax amid the sounds of Drumbeats and singers singing religious songs; people dancing with or without song wishing each other Ganapati Bappa Morya which simply translates to Happy Ganapati Festival.
Lot has written about this beautiful festival across the internet. Videos go viral in no time. This is heavy rainy season in Mumbai, city witness all kind of rain, huh, its torrential rain, who stops, those drummers, those organizers, those people who stand in queues to worship, those take leaves from office of 10 days to worship Ganapati Bappa at homes all are never tiring attitude. The festival rolls the economy, gives business a ray of hope amid heavy rainfall when the festival gives reason to people to smile and work hard without thinking twice, obviously the season gives a boost to businesses, and those who are seasonal workers like drummers and idol makers get reason to earn money. This gives them a livelihood.
And you can see the patience of Mumbai people, imagine roads are jammed because someone is bringing an idol of Lord Ganesha or taking it on Day 10th to immerse in Holy Waters amidst, dance, religious songs, celebrations and heavy rain pouring, no passerby even say 'Huh', no that is against the spirit of celebration, spirit of religion and spirituality. Nobody asks people to not complain when there are roadblocks but I bet it once you are in the atmosphere you will become part of the celebration without you knowing yourself.
Students or anyone who is struggling to make a career, do something better in life, want to do something different or seeking peace, I think must watch Ganapati Festival in real time. The largest set up Ganapati Celebration is called Lalbaugcha Raja. Link given only for your ease and not for clicks, I strongly suggest see Mumbai in person, now or next time, its never late and learn one of the happiest ways of living without complaints.

How to write a college admission winning essay

How to of College Admission Essay

Essay writing services offers perfect essay.  They claim they write perfect.  But are they really perfect?  I doubt.

If blackholes are not really black,  if there exist no perfect absorbers and emitters of energy in the universe,  how come these essay writing services claims as perfect.  Perhaps they are better,  but there never exist a perfect essay.

You can make two type of essay,  good essay and better essay.  Of course better wins.

 Design better college Admission Essay

  • Admission essay not only shows your language skills but reflects if you are worth to college.
  • Admission officer look for students who are truly interested in a course and who can make a difference to the campus.
  • An admission essay is also a measure of whether you would be able to complete coursework successfully.
  • An essay around anything shows your knowledge, ability of thinking & decision making and your personality.
  • The subject matter of application essay varies from college to college basis.
  • Application essays are of unlimited types.  The admission officer do not expect you to do wonder in few words,  indeed it's a measure of you.
  • To know about what type of application essays were impressive last academic session browse the college website to which you are applying. Do essay writing practice and then truly write the winning one.

Perhaps Essay Writing services can help you in writing formal essay for 2 Ties colleges but if you are looking to apply to those top notch colleges even if you take help from writing services then too you must have that level intelligence that can match your college. And it comes from learning. Learn to write.

Eight steps to write a better college essay

Write, Write Write: Write it raw, may be college want you write a 250/500/700 words essay. Write whatever you know around the subject. At first do not worry about length. Put your words together. Make your first draft.

Refine: Perhaps whatever you have written till now is too raw. Read, retain the meaningful lines, delete repeated lines, delete any other thing that is not relevant with the essay. Your second draft is ready.

Rephrase: Now read your script. You will find many words and sentences not in order. Put those in right places. Rephrase when required. Third Draft is ready.

Re-refine: Check grammar use. Sentences should not be very long. Paragraphs should make a sense. This is your fourth draft. At this stage look for length  if its fit to need else do necessary deletion / addition.

Edit: By now more than half work is done. Now work on editing. Check and correct every small details. Maintain accuracy in facts and figures. Make correct use of symbol and numerals. This is your fifth draft.

Proofread: Now proofread for errors including typos etc. This is your seventh draft.

Final Proofread: By now you are sure this is the College Admission Essay admission officer will love to read. Before you submit, give a final read to it. Proofread once and correct any errors if found.

Those are some steps through which you can write college admission essay. You can design your own essay writing path. Its not must that whatever written above you use all. You can use some, add some, do away with some.

A college admission essay is a representation of your persona. Ideally its a set of three metrics
  • Your level of interest in the subject.
  • Your willingness to get involved.
  • Your communication skills.

AI is now helping many individuals to thrive in whatever they do. Do not count on AI for Essay Writing. You can take help from AI based tools for learning. AI is an assistant that fetches available data from various sources and presents you but it does not guarantee for the correctness. Do your homework, take help for learning from anywhere, may be an AI based tool too. Write College Admission Essay that Win.

And here is a beautiful article that back my words to not use AI for essay writing https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-software/did-a-human-write-that-detect-ai-writing-with-these-tips/

I was going through CNET for my own web hosting need and find this article. Hope will help students and recruiters both.

Must Read Book: "Measure What Matters"

Whether you are a college student, graduate student or executive professional Measure What Matters' is a treasure. If you have read this book already, that's super cool. If not grab your copy. This is not a promotional post. Measure What Matters teach you about how to implement OKRs in work settings. I have gone through this word by word and really now I know the first step.

I don't belong to a family of entrepreneurs or management professionals and nobody was there to guide me. These are books, books, and books only those helped me truly in living life. Everyone has a choice so does you. I like reading around and about science, engineering and technology. I do buy a book when its title attracts to my eyes. Any word, any phrase, any mathematical symbol when in a Title get my eyeballs. Then I try my best to read it before anyone else reads.

Measure What Matters is written by John Doerr who worked for Intel with Sir Andy Groove. The book is divided into Two Sections; section 1 talks about OKRs, and Section 2 is about CFRs. You can find this book from shopping websites very easily.

Personally, I love to call this book Andy Groove Theory of Management.

And, I can bet on it, once you read, the learning not apply to work settings but a lot in personal life too. OKRs and CFR are about how you approach to a problem, execute program to solve it and get results. This book will take your understanding about execution to next level. Yes, if you are programmer your approach to execute the program next day will change.

Measure What Matters is a must read book. To know what will you get inside go through those pages and say Thank you to John Doerr. Hack Gaps

To follow or not to follow social media influencers selling health products

Sorry influencers, this headline is here because the main question is are you influencing for your own good or other’s good and none of you will like to hear this question again ever from me or anyone.
I am not against you and money making from social media. Show and Sell is not the sin, it's a common practice that has worked for centuries.I am doing that using this platform, I give ad space to Google and whatever I make is in the open domain.

However, this post is for the college ready teens transitioning from Senior high to College. This is the age when everyone is at the intersection of life to chose a path, so without any claim what I understand is here for readers.

If you are well in your 19, 20, 21 or something like that chances are you are a social media fan, you follow many influencers, you watch reels and maybe you make some too. At this age, especially when out of college many students leave home to stay in a hostel. Suddenly more responsibilities come on soldiers. Keeping track of health, including building muscles, and keeping right weight become a routine.

At this point a line comes from Keats in my mind, Where have we lost knowledge in information, where have we lost wisdom in information.

Healthcare products sell like hot cake, be it a new product or something to lose extra waistline. In social media, there are many influencers who advocates to follow certain routine and take supplements for fitness.

Often such influencers sell affiliate products from which they get commission. Nothing wrong with this. A product may be good or may not be. Without scientific backing you cannot judge whether it's good or not. Hold a minute, all scientific claims are not true, sometimes they are biased, processed food industry is proof of that and people like Ariana Huffington of Thrive Global are putting efforts to get rid of processed food.

Wellness product manufactures are not wrong in marketing a product through social media. It's their right to sell. Buying decisions goes on consumers. And perhaps this is one of the most logical things done illogically.

However, if you are looking for wellness products like weight loss, muscle building, detox or something like that do not take one because your friend is also taking the same and perhaps he looks better now or you are seen in  social media and that influencer has millions of followers.

Instead, go to expert nutritionists and related professionals to take advice. Only a certified gym instructor can teach you muscle training, do not do thousands of push ups because other friends are doing hundreds already. Or eat that powder to gain power or lose waistline. Once you try one such thing chances are perhaps you will become habitual of it. May be effects will be visible to you but without knowing if those effects are good or bad you cannot play with one of the most complex things in nature called the human body, right?

Take Healthcare decisions wisely, so you can stay healthy and blessed. A blessed individual is an asset to society who gives back. Thrive in your education, career and life.

This article is backed by Readers Digest article February 2025 Edition article title: Should you try a DETOX TREATMENT, written by Adrienne Matel from The Guardian.

16 Websites and Apps For Entrance Exam Preparation

Test Prep

Every student appears for entrance examination at some stage in life. Preparing for an entrance exam takes ample amount of time and energy. You need to be with the crowd and stand out as distinct. In any entrance examination the number of candidates qualified is significantly less than the number of candidates appeared for it.
Preparation matters.
Irrespective of at what examination a student is writing, the level of questions asked are always high. An entrance examination tests you for 3 things.
1: What you have studied in previous years.
2. Your academic aptitude, are you able to take admission in a said course for which examination is being conducted and
3. Whether you would be able to complete further course work successfully?

The questions asked in any entrance examination come from the curriculum that you had studied in preceding years. However, the level of questions asked are high.

This is digital age, computers, laptops and mobile devices are available in abundance. The method of learning is changing slowly. Now many best teachers prefer teaching online. Student also loves studying while sitting at home. To help in your entrance examination preparation, I gathered here 16 Website and Apps that you can use for entrance test preparation.

Following given the list and web address. Through these website you can get access to Online Learning for Entrance Examination (Web based learning, App based learning, Computer Based Learning or a combination of few or all of these).
  1. Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org)
  2. Lynda (www.linda.com) now called LinkedIn Learning (https://www.linkedin.com/learning/)
  3. TCYOnline.(www.tcyonline.com)
  4. WizIQ Education Online (www.wiziq)
  5. Wisdom24x7.com (www.wisdom24x7.com)
  6. MeritNation.com (www.meritnation.com)
  7. Toppr.com (www.toppr.com)
  8. Yahoo Answers (https://in.answers.yahoo.com/)
  9. LearnHub.com (www.learnhub.com)
  10. Aakash iTutor (www.aakashitutor.com)
  11. Brilliant Tutorials E-Tutor (www.brilliant-tutorials.com)
  12. SnapDeal (www.snapdeal.com/products/e-learning)
  13. Flipkart (www.flipkart.com/e-learning)
  14. Topperlearning.com (www.topperlearning.com)
  15. SimplyLearnt.com (www.simplylearnt.com)
Note: using these website, you also prepare for school exams, board exams, college exams, and competitive exams to obtain a job.

This list may be or may not be helpful to you. But do not count on AI based learning for examinations, that will lead you to nowhere. Perhaps some may pass the exam from AI based learning as well but AI is not a trusted source of information.
Please count of books, teachers and guides for academic studies. I am not against AI instead I am with AI but I do not support blind faith and academic learning based on AI. May be AI can help learning to those in special need or something like that and its doing it already but writing your answers based on AI responses because you are lazy will be harmful to your career.

Why New Zealand is preferred study abroad destination post COVID-19

Success stories are many, you can read any from news and grin or smile, but there is a reason for big grin.
The outbreak of COVID-19 put world under tremendous pressure. Many of us started best hygiene practices as soon as we got to know there is something, and that something termed as coronavirus by health experts. Not of a medical background kid I simply followed WHO guidelines.
Coronavirus touched many nationalities which is unfortunate and heartbreaking. In those moments I recall the words from Sir APJ Abdul Kalam, who said, 'rebuilding is beautiful....'
The big question, coronavirus left on day one is who will rebuild, who will be architect, and a named poped up "Jacina Ardern-The Prime Minister of New Zealand". I am surprised to learn that during Corona outbreak in NZ she treated all people staying in New Zealand as Citizen, no one was treated as migrant, outsider or something like that.
In the very begining I realized Jacina Ardern will be the winner, and today New Zealand is declared Coronavirus free country. It's big, and Prime Minister deserves full respect.
She has shown us that man can do it. Once world has seen the victory of man when man landed on moon (Neil Armstrong), about which 'we' read and today we can see it, UNBELIEVABLE, and true.
Today if you ask me which country should I apply for study abroad, certainly I will say, NZ is one and then would follow more.
Study Abroad decision need many questions to be asked. But if you ask which country would be safe travel for study abroad post Covid-19, certainly my first answer would be New Zealand.

7 Tips to stay prepared for entrance examinations during COVID-19 lockdown

Without revisions you will forget almost 18% of lessons. Keeping things in memory is pretty tough task if you not revise. But hold a minute, there are activities you can do to remember better and keep lessons near 100% in mind. How? By doing activities. Your question might be then how to do that benzene ring activity or Bernoulli's Theorem or may be photosynthesis. To help you here are some suggestions.
1. Pick your Pencil and Paper or slate and chalk: Write your lessons, whatever you have learnt towards entrance exam preparation, write down. Much stuff will go in permanent memory.
2. Record audio-Listen your voice: Kill two birds shooting one arrow. You will learn public speaking and most importantly, when you say it loud, it goes better in permanent memory.
3. Record video lessons: Out there you may have access to many video platforms. Open your phone or computer and record it. Now it’s time to say 2H2+O2 ------> 2H2O
4. Teach your friends online: Make your group, go live, Teach. Test. Award marks for right answers and penalize for wrong answers.
(I used to test my students weekly, one mark for each right answer and may be -2/-5 marks for wrong answer and report shown to parents, better a student much harsh I was in awarding marks. And many to whom I taught secured top 10 position in class).
5. Get tired: I don't know if this thing will work for me, but for me it works often. When I feel like out of ideas I go for long long walk till my mind say, no I can't take more, I catch better sleep and next I get better ideas. You can't go out in COVID-19 lockdown, why not some rope jumping or sit-ups.
6. Design your question paper: Books, online material and many things you already have. Design your question paper and practice. You can ask to a friend too.
7. Eat right: What cookies do to our computer same happen to our brain when we eat mindlessly. Eat in limits and leave space for water in your tummy. Because you are indoors not mean to eat in plenty not good for health not for exams.

If I was in your place waiting for next exam dates I may have done all those things to stay connected with lessons. Thoughts are my own.

Thousand of US Colleges and Versities are dropping SAT/ACT requirement for Fall 2021 Admision

In the times of Pandemic COVID-19 that has hit humanity, taking a standardized test may not be a comfortable idea for many students. Normally 4-year colleges across ask for SAT/ACT score for SAT application. And the test score is also valid across many world locations. Though the college board is not leaving any stone unturned and promises home testing now with some upgrades. But if that is not enough and you are worried about Under Grad admission here is some more respite.
Perhaps this will help many of you in better college planning even in times of crisis.

However, taking a test is better than not taking it at all. If you are comfortable writing SAT/ACT go for it, chose home testing / online testing. Its good decision of colleges to do away with the test or make test score optional, may students will be benefitted. But student life and exams go together. Take SAT/ACT as optional :-)
Stay safe!

Time management when exams are rescheduled

The change in schedule really put me off. And a rescheduled exam date is a complete put off for me. World over exam dates were changing, campuses were closing, students were asked to leave the hostel rooms, classes were going online; all because of Novel corona virus. Thankfully it's gone now, of course after causing a worldwide havoc but we have to move forward. Time to time exam dates change for various reasons, while a few students may feel joy as they may get more time to prepare but often one such a change puts many students off. They need to reschedule everything and that takes a lot of time and energy. Time management is important in such situations.

Nobody can help it, we have to go with the flow. For a limited number of students a change in exam dates could be an opportunity to learn those topics or prepare better, but for the majority, a change in date is really a put off.

However, if you are the one who is waiting for the fresh exam dates, here are some suggestions in case you fall in my category.
1. During Covid-19 dates were rescheduled keeping your safety in mind, so you can maintain social distance. But in a general scenario there could be other reasons, for example, in India capital New Delhi schools are closed during winter months for long due to pollution causing bad health. Staying indoor is the key, to make maximum use of time. You can make good use of time to self-study, learn a new hobby or complete a course; there are many online courses or you can read a good book. You can use extra available time as an opportunity to learn new things or pick a new hobby.
2. Pursue an indoor hobby. For how long you have not played with Guitar or not seen your favorite movie. Chill, relax and make your day while staying inside. Learn cooking or read some books. Learn one new thing everyday that requires you to stay indoors and you will realize you have learnt a lot while alone. When you have a hobby you learn much more than what you do in a classroom. Because it's relaxing, you do not feel any pressure, and you get good results. Also this helps in improving concentration.
3. Solve some old question papers: I suppose you are well prepared to take the exams on any date, download some old question papers, or may be older, and take the test in exam-like conditions. Evaluate your performance. You can design your own question paper too. Or maybe involve a friend, ask him to set questions for you and you do one such for him. In the social media age you do not need to travel a distance for exchange of question papers with friends.
4. Pursue writing: Who knows you could be the next Sidney Sheldon. Or redesign your home using old things. Or learn a new computer language. Why not learn some Python instead. if all this does not help take to Rubik's Cube. Period!!!
Staying active is important, other things fall in place. Maybe a math lesson is toughest for you, pick a topic or maybe one such topic that is not part of your syllabus, and soon you will realize you can do it.
5. Relax. Though such holidays are really unfortunate, make the most of it. Do you remember the last time you really rested well without worrying about catching up with something early in the morning? Give your body and mind complete rest, getting bored is not bad either.

Manage your time well, its a commodity, make good use of your time, and prepare better.

Check points before you join a college

College degree comes for a price. Its tough to get a seat and pretty tougher to get a suitable seat. After going through all examination and interview process if you do not get a suitable environment environment all efforts may go waste. Before you join a college check following
1. Faculty members: You cannot go and ask directly for obvious reasons. Use a two way sword to know how much potential your would be teacher has. Meet seniors, try to mingle up. Best way is to ask a problem; stuck general conversation. For example where is library or where is that abc department. If you fail once no worry again a completely new fellow. Best students who may guide about college and faculty are college seniors.
2. Hostel: If you are supposed to live in college hostel, before you take check it out. Do not book your seat blindly. Tell the booking clerk that you want to see. Or go around hostels and stuck a conversation. If you feel good then take it. Check how many people they should accommodate in one room and what are the facilities offered.
3. Library: Prefer for a college that offer you at least two libraries one departmental and other central. Library is the best place to study and propel in academics. Here again seniors may help you. Check if they have enough of latest books and periodicals.
4. Mess: Normally mess facilities do not offer very good food. Ask your seniors what they get. And if food is not good what are alternates. Check if there is clean drinking water in the campus.
5. Sports: Look what sporting facilities are offered. You are going to live over there for 4/5 years.
7. Events: Prefer to join a colleges that organize extracurricular activities and events etc. These are important for overall personality development.
8. Medical Facility: What if you or one of your room mate got sick? What they offer? If a doctor is not available inside campus what are alternates?
9. Shop: Though this is not very important you can go out and buy daily needs for entire week. But if daily need shops are inside campus you will save lot of time and hassle.
10. Commute: Walking down from one department to other take lots of energy. Check if inside campus transport is available. Or buy a cycle.
11. Who are noted alumni of college? What they doing?
12. Is placement / internship available? How many companies visited last year. What was placement success rate?
13. Where can I go for internship? Are there many companies available in the area?
14. A coed college is better than male or female only. After college you will be part of work force.

Re-Take Class 12th Board

Q. I did poorly in class 12th Board Examination. Should I take one more year and retake the exam to improve my grade? With such low marks I cannot get admission to any good college. Help.

Ans. First congratulations that you cleared the class 12th board exam, perhaps soon you are going to be eligible to get a driving license.
I understand your disappointment, you are felling bad now in the company of friends. And you are facing unhappy parents too.
You are most talked topic in relatives house.
So here your popularity graph is rising but for how long, only for few days, then it will return to a normal cycle.
The pain point is admission to a good college, right? But incidentally I know only about better colleges and better colleges recruit better students.
Why?
Because better students are better learners.
And want to do better by burning out one more year for some more marks.
Here before, you decide to study same curriculum again for next year, I would say
Look after your marks of past years.
Did you fared better in previous 3 or 5 examinations?
Did you know the reasons for low grades in the current exam?
What will be your strategy to improve grades in next year? If you don't like binomial or paper was tough this year, there is no guarantee for next year that paper will come easy.
If your grades were truly high in past 3 to 5 years, then yes you can take a break and prepare better for next year.
But if your grades were similar, give a leverage of +/- 5% then do not repeat for the same class indeed chose for a college programme where you can get admission. Look for skill based courses and there are plenty.
A good college does not define your career success. It's you.
And you are awesome.
If you are Indian child I will suggest you to go and kiss your mom. Next you will know the results :-)
Look ahead plan your career and when you have a question ask me through this forum.
Tell your worries to your parents, teachers, seniors, siblings and friends. If that is not enough go and meet a professional counselor.
Good Luck.

What is a crash course and for whom

Come entrance examination time and town walls get painted with posters like Crash Course, Quick Course, Revision Course, Two Month Crash Course, 3 Month Crash Course, 10 Day Crash Course, 3 Day Crash Course blah blah blah....
Those was my days luring us to fill more seats. Now its social media, education websites and online advertisements that caught students attention.
This is the time when all students are serious about their future. Even those who never attended full lectures in class start thinking big, bigger and much bigger. Parents want to send you in top college of the city.
If I keep aside discrepancies in entrance examinations commonly these exams are considered as fair exams where one do not get chance to cheating and selections are based on score and rank.
Fear sales, crash courses are administered during exam time and compartively cheaper than a full time course. Therefore, its good time of the year for coaching institutes to make some good money in less time for small efforts. Coaching institutes are not wrong, it’s a business to them, student is a product.
So if there is a crash course on offer near you let’s understand Crash Course is for whom?
Its for students
  • looking for quick revision
  • to clear some doubts
  • to take some mock test under examination conditions
  • to check last minute preparation
  • to gather some additional knowledge which may be useful during exam day
Anyone can attend a crash course but primarily its for those who are already prepared. Also those students can join who are in the mid of school year studies for knowledge about entrance examinations.

This article is written keeping in view Indian K 12 students. Opinions are personal.

How students can get hygienic meal

Many students starts living away from parents as soon they get enrolled for a college course or earlier. In fact at some point of time in life many lives away. Getting food is a challenge. No matter how much you spend, at 90% occasions you get two things; one, something to fill your stomach and two, free germs. Food is integral part of life and hygiene makes 50% of your meal. This is not a food blog but yes I want to keep my readers healthy. After eating street food, junk food, healthy food, fast food, premium food blah blah blah and after suffering many times over a year I observed couple things about restaurant food / take away kitchen. I suppose many of us know cooking but don't do it and often counts on food parcel or eat out. So here are some suggestions if you are hungry
1. Find restaurants in your area.
2. Check rate card.
3. Try different food joints till you find couple of them those interests your taste buds and tummy both.
4. When you visit a food joint or restaurant observe if they maintain hygiene. Of course you can't see their kitchen if its a restaurant but observe service, sitting area, attitude etc.
Once I visited a food joint and felt like I am sitting over garbage despite its mentioned as one of the good meal supplier in a top food delivery app.
5. If you take food parcel, pick yourself or order directly to restaurant. Keep online food delivery app as your last choice. Often restaurant pack less quantity for higher price when you order online.
6. Do not buy on credit, they will serve you third grade meal. Sometime restaurant manager trick you and give meal willingly on credit, show extra care for you saying you are regular customer. Don't get tricked. When you have a currency of 500 and bill is 100 bucks only, if you are regular normally cashier trick you saying pay later. This is trick to bring you back.
Every business need repeat customer but what I truly hate is when consumer is tricked or cheated.
7. A food deliver app should be your last choice. I observed prices of many restaurants and there is a huge gap in pricing when you visit and buy versus order food online.
8. Do not get tricked in the name of offers and discounts. Those offers are given out to make a habit of order online in you. That's a dirty trick. Nothing comes for half the price so can come your food?
9. Food parcel comes in plastic bags. I hope those contain enough germs. The dirtiest invention of century is plastic packaging.
10. Third grade raw material is used in preparing meal at food joints and restaurants and even top restaurants.
I have no personal enmity with people in food business but this happens largely across India. Health is the biggest luxury you have at disposal. Food makes life, what you eat that you become.Hygiene is first thing when feeding your stomach. Chose your meal wisely.

Ask any food delivery guy in how many day he sanitize his parcel career bag?

Idiots like me buy food from outside then write here. Good people cook their meal. Home cooking is not cheap but at home hygiene comes for little efforts and time.

Busy schedules, day long lectures, classrooms leave almost no time for activity like cooking but watch before you eat. If you stay in a hostel and joined mess ask for good hygienic meal. Do not accept junk or just anything. Hostel mess and canteen are notorious for serving waste meal. In case of problems DO NOT FIGHT give written complaint to those responsible for hostel administration.
