Eligibility Criteria

Yantrik: Matriculate with three years Diploma in Mechanical Electrical / Electronics Engg. Recognised by AICTE.

Age: Born between 01 Jan 89 and 1 Jan 93. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

Navik (General Duty): 10+2 with Maths and Physics from an educational board recognised by Central / State Government.

Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward): Matriculate

Age: Born between 01 Apr 89 and 1 Apr 93. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

MEDICAL STANDARDS

(a) Height: Minimum 157 cms. (May be reduced by 5 cms. in the case of Nepalese, Assamese including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim, local tribal of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and by 2 cms. in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, Mainland settlers in Andaman & Nicobar and candidates joining the Indian Coast Guard on second appointment from other government departments).

(b) Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.

(c) Weight: Proportionable to height and age (+)(-) 10% acceptable.

(d) Eye Sight

(i) Yantrik: 6/12 (Good Eye) and 6/24 (Bad Eye).

ii) General Duty: 6/6 (Good Eye) and 6/9 (Bad Eye) (Candidates using glasses are not eligible for GD Branch).

iii) Domestic Branch: 6/18 (Good Eye) and 6/36 (Bad Eye)

Hearing: Normal

Should have good set of Teeth

Good Health: Free from all communicable diseases, medical or surgical deformity, should have no history of fits or psychiatric ailment. Candidates must be physically & mentally fit for duty anywhere in the world.

Registered letter & Speed Post will not be accepted. Sewing Defence personnel are to apply through proper channel. Central / State Govt. Employees should also apply through Heads of Departments. Attested copies (not returnable) of certificates of age, educational qualifications including statements of marks, caste certificate (if SC, ST OBC), NCC, Sports are to be tagged with the application. One self-addressed unstamped envelope of size 25 X 10 cms. should be attached with the application. One additional passport size photograph is to be attached separately. Character Certificate (issued six months prior to exam/interview).

(b) Naviks: Applications on plain paper in the form given (type written / hand written in English / Hindi) is to be sent to the under mentioned address Under Postal Certificate only. Registered letters & Speed Post will not be accepted.

Serving Defence Personnel are to apply through proper channel.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)

Applications are invited for KVPY FELLOWSHIPS for school and college students interested in research careers

The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships (Rs.4000 to Rs.7000 p.m.) and contingency grants (equivalent of four months fellowships per annum) to students studying in XI standard to B.Sc./B.S./ Integrated M.Sc., and I/ II year of B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ MBBS. Selection to the program takes into account academic excellence and demonstrated interest in research. Selection is open to Indian nationals studying in India.

Eligibility Criteria

BASIC SCIENCES
• Stream SA : Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science subjects) during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST)marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.

• Stream SB+2 (SX): Students enrolled in class 12 (+2) during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc. / B.S./ Int. M.Sc.) for the session 2011 - 2012 provided they secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X standard Board Examination.

• Stream SB : Students enrolled in 1st year B.Sc. /B.S./ Int. M.Sc. during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.

• Stream SP (Basic Sciences)*: Students enrolled in XI/XII standard, I/II year (B.Sc./ B.S./ Int. M.Sc.) in Basic Sciences and I/II year B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate in the X & XII Standard Board Examinations. Students enrolled in the II year B.Sc./ B.S./ Int. M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. program must have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in the year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative science based research project must be submitted along with the application.

*Engineering students may also apply for the stream SP Basic Sciences

MEDICINE

• Stream SP (Medicine) : Students enrolled in I/II professional year of the MBBS program during the academic year 2010 -2011 and have secured 75% (65% for SC! ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination. Students enrolled in the II professional year of the MBBS program must have secured 60% (50% for SC/ ST) marks in the 1st year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative Bio-Medical project must be submitted along with the application.

Each Stream has its own application form. Students who wish to apply for more than one stream should submit separate applications.

• Application forms may be downloaded from the KVPY Website. Those who are unable to do so, may request for a Hard copy.

• A hard copy of the application form can be obtained from KVPY on request by remitting a processing fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ ST) at any core banking branches of STATE BANK OF INDIA, to the credit of Administrative Executive, KVPY A/c. No. 10270577392. The "pay-in-slip" should be sent along with the request clearly indicating the stream (i.e., SA, SB+2 (SX), SB, SP).

• SC / ST candidates should provide a copy of the caste certificate
issued by a competent authority in the prescribed proforma.

• The completed application form along with the following should reach KVPY on or before 10.09.2010.

a) Caste certificate in the case of SC/ ST candidates

b). A copy of the project report in the case of Stream SP

c) Original pay-in slip of Rs.200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST)

Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE)

Application are invited for Admission to the following Part Time (Evening) Post Diploma and Diploma Courses in various Polytechnic for Academic Year 2010-11 for the following courses:-

1. Post Diploma Course in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Part-time Evening Post Diploma-1& ½ Years duration

Eligibility Criteria

For Course No 1:

(a) A recognized Diploma in Refrigeration Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering / Automobile Engineering/ Production Engineering with minimum 50% marks.

(b) Candidates should be employed on full time basis (including Apprenticeship sponsored by a recognized agency) for a minimum period of 8 months after passing qualifying examination in a job analogous to this Post Diploma course. If seats remain unfilled, candidates without experience shall also be considered.

For Course No 2:

(a) Passed in 10th class of 10+2 System or Matric or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE. The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in these three subjects without considering grace marks. AND .

(b) Passed NCVT/SCVT form lTls/ITCs/ Apprenticeship Certificate Exam of analogous Diploma course without considering grace marks OR

Passed 12th class examination of analogous 10+2 Vocational Stream of CBSE or equivalents, without considering grace marks AND

(c) The candidate should be employed/self-employed on the day of submitting the application form.

The Prospectus with application form for the admission will be available from Pusa Polytechnic, Pusa, New Delhi-110012; Aryabhatt Polytechnic, G.T. Karnal Road, Delhi-110033 and G.B. Board of Technical Education Rajasthan (BTER)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Rajasthan Domicile, out of Rajasthan Domicile and the wards of Kashmiri Migrants for admission to 1st year of B. Arch courses.

Eligibility Criteria

As per council of Architecture the following academic qualifications are applicable :

a. 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate. OR

b. 10+3 diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate marks. OR

c. International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

For SC, ST & OBC candidates the aggregate is 45% marks in the above said examination. Besides this, other benefits as provided by the Govt. of India and respective State Govt. to the SC, ST, OBC, Women, Economically Backward, Ex-Serviceman, Physically Handicapped students as applicable to them for pursuing the B. Arch. Degree course are also to be extended.

All admissions to B.Arch. degree courses shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA). The minimum pass score for NATA is 80 out of 200 for all categories of candidates. There is no relaxation in the minimum pass score of NATA to any category of candidate.

Age Limit : Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

Domicile : For Candidates belonging to Rajasthan State

Candidate seeking admission to Architecture Colleges in Rajasthan should note that he / she would be eligible for admission only if he / she fulfils any of the following conditions :

The candidate himself / herself or any of his / her natural parents (father / mother) is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan (See certificate 1(i)). OR

Candidate has studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions in Rajasthan for the preceding three years upto and including the year in which he/she has passed / appearing the qualifying examination (i.e. X, XI and XII classes) (See certificate 1(ii)). OR

Candidate is a son/daughter of either a serving employee or of a retired employee of any of the following :

(i) Government of Rajasthan (including officers of All India Service borne on the State cadre of Rajasthan).

(ii) Undertakings/ Corporations/ Improvement Trusts/ Municipal Boards/ Panchayat Samities / Co-operative Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan.

(iii) Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under the Indian Companies Act incorporated in Rajasthan. (See certificate 1(iii)) OR

Candidate is a son/daughter of an employee of any of the Universities in Rajasthan or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or Government Engineering Colleges at Bhilwara, Kota, Ajmer and Bikaner etc., who has put in at least three years service on the date of submission of application in any of the above bodies (See certificate 1(iv)). OR

Candidate is a son/daughter of an employee of Central Government or Institutions of the Central Government including Public Sector Undertakings or Corporations and who is on the regular rolls and is serving in the State of Rajasthan on the date of the application (See certificate 1(v)). OR

Candidate is a son/ daughter of an employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence/Central Government services/ Public Sector undertakings/ National Institutes of Government of India, who has put in at least three years service on the last date for submission of application irrespective of his/her place of posting provided a certificate is submitted by the employee from the employer to this effect stating the State of origin and the home town as given by him/her at the time of his/her entry of service (See certificate 1(vi)).

Note : The candidates belonging to State other than Rajasthan will have to submit the bonafied certificate of their concerned State. OR

Proof that the Candidate has studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions Out of Rajasthan for the preceding three years (i.e. X, XI and XII) upto and including the year in which he/she has passed / appeared in the qualifying examination (i.e. XII class), in form of the mark sheets.

Selection Process

Merit List : A common merit list of all the eligible candidates shall be prepared considering the following criteria :

- 50% of NATA score
- 50% of Qualifying Examination

The merit list will be declared on our websites on 25th July, 2010

Counselling Through Option Form : The counselling shall be carried out through option form on the basis of the merit and options filled by the candidate in the option form. The candidates are required to fill up the option form (which is available on the website) and submit it along with the prescribed application form. The seats available in various branches i.e. SEAT MATRIX is available on the website.

The Institute and Branch codes are available in the seat matrix itself. The allotment of seats will be strictly according to the merit of the candidate and as per the options filled by candidate in the option form. The allotment of the Institutes and Branch will be available on the website on 27th July, 2010. If a candidate does not report to the allotted institution his/her fees (i.e. Rs. 10,000/-) deposited along with the Application form will be forfeited.
