Applications are invited for the unified single window admission for first year B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Programme 2008 to the University Departments of Anna Universities, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges.

1. In Person
Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the centres detailed below by paying Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) towards registration fee, by cash/demand draft

2. By Post
Application forms can also be obtained by post from the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 by sending a letter of requisition along with a Demand Draft for Rs.650/- (Rs.400/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be mailed.!-- Begin: AdBrite -->



3. Through Website
The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annuniv.edu/tnea2008 . After entering the required information in the application form, press the submit button, then take a printout, affix a photograph and affix the signature at the appropriate spaces provided. The printout application along with the registration fee in the form of a D.D. only
(SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu have to enclose an attested xerox copy of Community Certificate also) should be sent along with all the enclosures by speed / registered post to the address given below.

4. Special Reservations
Candidates seeking admission under Special reservation category should enclose separate special reservation application along with main application together with DD for Rs.100/- for each special reservations with an attested xerox copies of relevant document. 5. Submission of filled in applications
Candidates have to send the filled in application along with an attested xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s) and an attested xerox copies of all other relevant certificates, to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2008, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on or before 26.05.2008 (5.30 p.m.)

With the implementation of reservation in admission under the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admissions) Act, 2006 (No. 5 of 2006) in respect of persons belonging to socially and educationally backward classes (OBCs), NIPER invites applications from the eligible OBC candidates who does not belong to the `creamy layer` as provided in OM No. 36012/22/93-(SCT), dated 8th September, 1993 [amended vide OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt. Selection : For this year, 2008 the students will be called for interview in Bangalore through JEST examination as well as written test to be held at IIA campus on 6th June, 2008. The interviews will be held in IIA, Bangalore during June 6-7, 2008. Outstation candidates will be paid return train fare in II Sleeper Class or equivalent bus fare by the shortest route on production of original tickets. All the selected students will be fully supported with a fellowship of Rs. 10,000 per month for the first two years. All students will be provided hostel accommodation, medical facilities and a book grant. Upon successful completion of two years in the programme the candidates will be awarded a Masters' Degree in Physics.
