Eligibility: For eligibility for 85% seats category candidates should be a resident of Punjab State in terms of Punjab Govt., Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II/9619 dated 6th June 1996 and letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II / 81 dated 1st Jan 1999, Or

should have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination as a regular candidate from recognized institution situated in Punjab. Each candidate would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Principal / Head of Institution last attended in the prescribed performa.

Note: The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination shall also be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. The admission of such candidates to the Entrance Test shall be purely provisional and shall stand cancelled, if they fail to produce their eligibility at the time of counselling.

Eligibility

For Test No 1:

The candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 system of Matric or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE. The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in these three subjects without considering grace marks.

For Test No. 2:

Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE, Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate. The subject English is compulsory for Modern office Practice (English) and the candidate should have passed in this subject without considering grace marks.

Test No. 3:

Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE, Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate. The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modem office Practice (Hindi) and the candidate should have passed in this subject without considering grace marks.

Test No. 4:

The candidate should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE, Delhi or any other examination recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of the CBSE. The subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in these subjects without considering grace marks. As per directions issued by Pharmacy Council of India vide their letter No.14-2/2007-PCI-13143 dated 27.12.2007, the candidates who have appeared/ passed through National Institute of Open Schooling shall not be considered for admission to this course.

For Test No. 5:

For 10 + 2 Vocational (Engg. Courses): Passed in 12th Class examination of analogous 10 + 2 Vocational Stream of CBSE or equivalent from Delhi Schools with minimum 60.00% marks in aggregate of best five subjects for which marks are reflected in the mark sheet, without considering grace marks in these best five subjects.

For ITI pass outs (Engg. Courses) : Passed NCVT/SCVT from ITIs /lTCs located in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi with a minimum of 60.00% marks in aggregate of all subjects reflected in the mark sheet, without considering grace marks.

(1) Students who have written the examination in 2009 and awaiting results are also eligible to apply but their admission will be subject to the production of proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualification.

Note:

(3) Diploma Courses in Beauty Culture, Commercial Art, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Library Science, Civil Engineering (Public Health & Environmental Engineering) and Textile Design are only for girl candidates.

Short Service Commission (Observer Officer) for unmarried Men and Women candidates

Applications are invited from unmarried Men and Women candidates for Short Service Commission (Observer Officer) in the Aviation Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jan 2010 at Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.

Candidates to fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Eligibility Conditions

Age: 19 to 23 years, born between 02 Jan 1987 and 01 Jan 1991; both dates inclusive.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with an aggregate of 55% marks. The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects.

Physical Standards:

(a) Minimum height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length for both Men and Women candidates.

(b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION

Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement, performance & willingness of the candidate. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules.

(e) Male Applicants willing to be considered for Executive (General Service) in case not qualifying Aviation medicals should endorse the same. The candidature would be considered for the same if educationally qualified and meeting selection criteria.

Selection Procedure

(a) Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cutoff. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) (IHQ-MoD (Navy)) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account

(b) SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled during Aug to Nov 09 at Bangalore.

(c) The SSB interview is conducted over five days in two stages. Stage-I includes intelligence Test, Picture Perception test and Group discussion and is conducted on the first day. Stage-II includes Psychological Tests, Group Task and personal interview conducted over the balance four days. Candidates failing to qualify a particular stage would be sent back the same day. Successful candidates would then have to clear a Aviation medical examination at the same venue (approx duration 3-5 days)”.

(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit will be appointed for training in order of all India Merit depending on the number of vacancies and subject io police verification.

(e) Change of SSB centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
