Application procedure: Applicants desirous of taking admission in PG Diploma in Business Administration must have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT), which was held on 16th November , 2008.

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, shortlists candidates on the basis of their score in CAT. Other parameters required are academic excellence, extra-curricular achievements and relevant experience in respective area, for admission to its two-year full time Post Graduate Programme in Management.



IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Certificate Course in Geriatric Care 2008 – 2009



The Certificate Courses at present are being run at New Delhi, and regional centres at Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Bangalore, Cochin, Pune and Coimbatore.

Eligibility: a). Age limit: He/she should have completed the age of 18 years on October 1, 2008 and should not be more than 45 years as on October 1, 2008..

b. Qualifications and Qualifying Examination:

Should have successfully completed the High School/ Matriculation or any other equivalent Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, equivalent to Secondary Examination after a period of 10 years study.

Preference will be given to the candidates working as old age care givers, health workers, counsellors, social workers, home care workers, nursing assistants, professionals working in Age Care Agencies and organizations on merit basis.
Application procedure: The Prospectus along with the Prescribed Application Form can be had from NISD Office by paying Rs. 50/- personally from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM on all working days, or by sending a DD/ Pay Order of Rs. 80/- The Pay Order /DD should be in favour of the Director, National Institute of Social Defence, payable at New Delhi. Payment by Postal Order is not acceptable.

A stamp size photograph, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, is to be affixed on the application form

Entrance Examination for Admission to B.Pharm Courses – Through Lateral Entry, Kerala – 2008



Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to B.Pharm Courses [through Lateral Entry] for the year, 2008 in the Government and Private-Self financing Colleges.

Eligibility for admission;

(i) Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.

(ii) Diploma in Pharmacy [Candidate shall have studied in an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and shall have passed the diploma examination conducted by the State Board of D.Pharm Examinations or equivalent and must have a minimum of 50% marks for the second year D.Pharm examination]. (For SEBC /OEC candidates, 5% relaxation in marks is allowed and for SC/ST candidates a pass in the qualifying examination will be sufficient).

Selection and Entrance Examination:

Selection of candidates to state quota seats will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, [CEE] at Thiruvananthapuram on 21.12.2008. It will consist of one Paper, of two hours duration and having 100 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions. Candidates except those belonging to SC/ST categories have to secure a minimum of 10% marks in the Entrance Examination to qualify and to figure in the rank list.

Application forms:

Prospectus and Application form will be available from 14.11.2008, in the website www.cee-kerala.org . The application form is common for all candidates. Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the prescribed format, after downloading the application form, from the website, along with necessary documents and a Demand Draft [Rs. 300/- for General candidates and Rs 150/- for SC/ST candidates] drawn on a nationalized bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application forms will not be sold from the CEE Office or from the office of the DME. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates seeking admission should forward their completed application with all the required documents to the Commissioner for Enhance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001, either by Registered post / hand delivery / speed post so as to reach him before 5 pm on 06.12.2008 (Saturday).



Late, defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. CEE will not be responsible for any postal delay.

Candidates will neither be allowed, to include any information in the application form nor allowed to submit any certificates / documents claiming reservation or any other benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances.

Candidates must note that, they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever specified. The certificates that are attached separately along with the application form will not be considered under any circumstances.

The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of candidates of all candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the Director of Medical Education.

The allotment and admission will be done by the DME, based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus, approved by the Government of Kerala.

NOTE: Candidates may go through the various provisions of the Prospectus available in the Official web site of the CEE at " www.cee-kerala.org ", before filling up the application forms.

Admission to Two-Year Full-Time Residential MBA Programme 2009



Eligibility: A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years’ duration (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2009 may also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements before June 15, 2009 for obtaining the degree. A student after joining a programme in the university will not be permitted to sit for any examination of any other institution or agency.

Application procedure: The university has made an arrangement with the XLRI, Jamshedpur regarding using XAT scores for admission. The students are required to appear for XAT 2009 and see the details of procedure for applying for XAT from the website, www.xlri.edu. Candidates appearing CAT and MAT can also apply with scores obtained in the examination concerned for admission and their selection will be based on their relative scores.

In addition, applicants have to apply online in the prescribed format for admission to the MBA programme by logging on to http://www.ravenshawuniversity.com . They should provide their XAT roll number so that their score in XAT can be obtained from XLRI.

Upon successfully filling the online application form the Admit Card and the Payment Advice Form with ID number will be generated. The candidate should take the printouts. The admit card should be produced during the GD and interview with photographs.

The Payment Advice Form should be duly filled in and sent along with a hard copy of the application and the account payee bank draft of Rs.500/- payable at Cuttack favouring “Ravenshaw University” so as to reach the Registrar, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack – 753003 on or before 28 February 2009

Selection Process : The university will decide the section wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing candidates to be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). GD & PI will be held at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai from March 16 to 21, 2009. Centres may be added or cancelled depending on the number of candidates. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the GD & PI.
