Admission to MDS Courses - 2008

Eligibility: 1. A candidate will be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Examination for MDS Course if he/she:
i) is a citizen of India. ii) has passed BDS examination from any Dental College/Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India.
iii) has completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotating internship by 15.5.2008 from colleges recognized by the Dental Council of India.
iv) Registered with the State Dental Council/DCI at the time of admission.
v) Possesses a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended.
2. The candidate will have to submit the above-mentioned certificates in original at the time of counseling without which the admission shall not be granted except for certificate of completion of internship and registration at Sr. No. iii and iv above which will have to be submitted by 20.5.2008 positively. Admission will stand cancelled without any further notice.
3. A candidate who is already admitted to a course in any institution can be eligible to apply for another course only after passing the first course. An undertaking to this effect will be obtained from the candidate. Concealment of facts would invite disqualification.
4. After commencement of the MDS Course if a candidate having joined the course leaves it before completion of full period:
i) he/she will be debarred for next three years from applying for admission to any P.G. Course (Degree/Diploma) in the participating College.
ii) he/she will have to execute the Bond for One Year's basic fee of MDS degree Course, at the time of admission.




5. Candidates already in service must submit their application form through their employer or produce 'No Objection Certificate', from their employer on or before the last date or receipt of application form.

Application procedure: Prospectus cum application form is available at the admission office on all working days from 9 am to 4 pm on payment of Rs. 1000/- by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.1050/- in favour of the Registrar, MM University, Mullana payable at Ambala. The Application form can also be downloaded from the university website. The downloaded fom should be accompanied by a DD of Rs.1000/- to avoid rejection.

Three Year (Evening) Post -Graduate Programme in Business Management for Working Managers - 2008

Eligibility: 1) Applicants must have pursued 10+2 years of formal schooling.

2) Completed at least a 3-year bachelor degree programme or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a) All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), b) UGC or Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

3) For the bachelor degree the candidate must also have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or CGPA of 5.50 on a 10-point scale). 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD categories.

Eligibility: 1. For M.Sc. (Economics)

Minimum qualification for admission to M.Sc. programme include one of the following degrees or their equivalents:

B.A./B.Sc. in Economics/B.Com./B.Stat./B.Sc. (Physics or Mathematics)/ B.Tech./B.E. with at least a Second Division for Economics Discipline and First Division for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied mathematics at the higher secondary level.

2. For M.Phil. / Ph.D.

Minimum qualification for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. programme include one of the following degrees or their equivalents:

M.A./M.Sc. in Economics/M.Stat./M.Sc.(Physics or Mathematics or Environmental Science or Operations Research) M.B.A./ M.Tech./ M.E./ B.Tech./ B.E. with at least 55% aggregate marks for Economics discipline and 60% aggregate marks for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied mathematics at the higher secondary level.

All candidates appearing for their final degree examinations on or before July 15, 2008 are eligible to appear for the IGIDR admission tests. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to their securing 55% or 60% aggregate marks, as the case may be, in their final degree examination. Also, the final official mark sheets of the same must be submitted to IGIDR by October 31, 2008.

Application procedure: Application forms and prospectus may be purchased from the Institute by paying cash on working days or via post by sending a bank draft of Rs 200 (non-refundable) payable to Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) at Mumbai to the Admissions Office, IGIDR, Gen.
