B.A. LL.B (Hons.) 5 Year Integrated Degree Course - 2008
Eligibility: A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Kerala or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% of the aggregate marks and 50 % of marks in the Entrance Test held by the University. Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5%. Candidates who have appeared/are appearing and awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
Application procedure: Prospectus and application form can be had from the office of the University on payment of Rs.750/- by cash or DD drawn on any Scheduled Bank in favour of the “National University of Advanced Legal Studies”, payable at Ernakulam. For applicants belonging to SC/ST, the cost of Prospectus and Application form shall be Rs. 375/- on production of proof of community.

Application can also be had by post by sending a DD for Rs.800/- for general candidates and Rs.425/- for SC/ST candidates. Application and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website www.nuals.ac.in. In such cases, the filled in application should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 750/ (Rs. 375/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of NUALS payable at Ernakulam. Completed applications should reach NUALS office on or before 03.05.2008. (05.00 P.M.).

Eligibility: The candidates having Indian nationality should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination from the recognised School/ College/ Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent there to by the University of Delhi securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (50% or more marks for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, 55% or more marks for candidates belonging to CW (Defence)/ Physically Handicapped category). The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the CEE-2008. ; ; ; Minimum Age: 17 years on or before 1st October, 2008.

M.DES (Design)

Eligibility: M.Tech.: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Master’s degree in science with marks/ CPI not below the prescribed minimum and a valid GATE score.

B. Tech. graduates from IITs with a minimum overall CGPA of 6.5 and a minimum CGPA of 8.0 during the last two semesters in B.Tech., may also apply without a GATE score (such candidates will, however, be not entitled for Institute Assistantship if CGPA is below 8.0). For M.Tech in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, candidates with MBBS, or B.Pharma Degree may also be considered.




M.Des. (Master of Design): A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design or Architecture (only) with marks/CPI not below the prescribed minimum and a valid GATE/CEED score. (Students with Bachelor’s degree in Fine arts are not eligible at present).

Ph.D. in Engineering: A Master’s Degree in Engineering with marks/CPI not below the prescribed minimum or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 75 percent marks/7.5 CPI and a valid GATE score. As a special case, Master’s Degree in Sciences or in allied area, with exceptional academic records may also be considered. However, candidates are advised to refer the departmental websites for further details.

Ph.D. in Sciences: A Master’s degree in the relevant subject or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with marks/CPI not below the prescribed minimum and a valid GATE/UGC/ CSIR score.

Ph.D. in HSS: A Master’s degree in the relevant subject or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Master’s degree in sciences or in an allied field of HSS with marks/CPI not below the prescribed minimum and a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score.

Application procedure: Application forms and detailed information can be obtained free of charge from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), IIT Kanpur, Kanpur - 208 016 personally or by sending the request for the same along with a self-addressed and stamped (Rs.30) cloth-lined envelope of 23 cm x 17 cm with a clear identification for the programme applied for.

Forms can be obtained personally from the Academic Section up to 16th April, 2008. Photocopies or forms downloaded from the website are also acceptable.

Last date of submission of Forms: 16th April, 2008 General Information : Financial aid (Assistantship/Scholarship) is provided for M.Tech., Ph.D. and M.Sc.-Ph.D. (Dual Degree) Programmes. Tuition fee waiver of 50 percent is provided for M.Sc. (2 Yrs)/M.Sc-Ph.D. (Dual Degree) students after first Semester. Sponsored and part-time candidates are also considered for M.Tech., M.Des. and Ph.D. Programmes. Sponsored candidates do not require GATE qualification. Several attractive Fellowships from Industries/DAE are also available. Guidelines for sponsored and part-time candidates are available in the Information Brochure.

RESERVATION: Reservations will be 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST for the year 2008-09. Also upto 3% reservation shall apply as per Government of India rules for persons with disability (PD).
