The Director, RINPAS, invites application for following courses commencing at this Institute from 1st May, 2009.

1. M.D. (Psychiatry) - 1 Seat
Duration : 3 years for MB.B.S. degree holders and 2 years after two years D. P.M. holders.

2. Dip. in Psychological Medicine (DPM.) - 1 Seat ; Duration : 2 years

3. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology - 2 Seats
Duration : 3 years for M.A. (Psychology) degree holders and 2 years after D.M. & S.P/M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology / M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.

4. Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work - 2 Seats
Duration: 3 years for MA. Social Work or M.S.W. and 2 years for DPSW or M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work.

5. M. Phil in Medical and Social Psychology: 6 Seats ; Duration : 2 Years

6. M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work - 6 Seats
Duration : 2 Years

7. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing - 6 Seats; Duration : One year

Eligibility: For M.D. (Psychiatry) and Dip. in Psychological Medicine (DPM.)

M.B.B.S. degree from any University / Medical College of Jharkhand State recognized by M.C.I.

The candidate who is resident of Jharkhand and has passed MBBS from Bihar can also apply, who has got admission in Bihar Medical College before creation of Jharkhand State i.e. before15.11.2000.

The candidate must have completed the rotating internship by 15-2-2009.

The candidate must have obtained permanent registration from Medical Council of India or Bihar/ Jharkhand State Medical Council.

For Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology : Master degree in Psychology of a recognized university with minimum 60% marks, or Diploma / M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology.

For Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work: M A. Social Work or M.S.W of a recognized university with minimum 60% marks, or DPSW / M.Phll in Psychiatric Social Work.

For M. Phil in Medical and Social Psychology : M.A. in Psychology of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.

For M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: MA. Social Work/ Sociology of a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate

For Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing : ‘A‘ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery ; Experience: Two years experience as Staff Nurse

Note : 1. Reservation will be as per rules.

2. The candidate must produce original copies of all certificates, mark sheets (M.B.B.S / D.P.M. / MA. / M.S.W. etc.), testimonials, caste certificate / Residential / Disability certificate if applicable etc. and other relevant documents at the time of written entrance examination.

3. Fluency in English speaking is an essential criteria.

4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

5. Completed application form should reach on or before 15th February 2009 to the Director, Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Kanka, Ranchi – 834 006 along with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- only in case of ST / SC candidates) drawn in favour of the Director, RINPAS payable at Ranchi as examination Fee.

6. The candidates are requested to collect their admit card from the office RINPAS one day before or on the day of entrance examination.

7. The written examination will be held on 28th February, 2009. Only those candidates who qualify in written examination will be called for Interview on 1st March 2009 for final selection.

8. Candidates must report at 9.00AM at RINPAS on 1st March 2009 and produce their original certificates and other documents at the time of Interview.

9. Candidates whose final year result is not declared / or mark- sheet of P.G. final year is not available on 1st March 2009 will not be allowed to appear in entrance examination in any circumstances. Candidates must specify the course applied for in their application form.

10. Seats may be increased or decreased without assigning any reason.
