Eligibility: i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2009 are eligible to apply

(ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2009.

Application procedure: The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner :

By Post : The Prospectus - cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post /Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Draft for Rs.1050/- (Rs. 850/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in favour of “M.B.B.S. Entrance Examination-2009” payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2009. The request must reach the Assistant Controller of Examination, All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi- 110 608 on or before 21.02.2009.

Money Order /Cheque/Postal Order/ Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale.

The words 'REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR M.B.B.S. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2009' should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in / non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

(1) Candidates must obtain application form ONLY from an authorized branch of S.B.I. or by post from Examination Section of AIIMS. Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected. (2) Candidates are advised be procure Application Form as early as possible instead of waiting for the lest date. If the Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS /State Bank of India or its specified branches will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of form. In case a candidate does not get the form through Post Office in time, AIIMS will not be responsible for such lapses.

Selection Process : Applicants seeking admission are required to have completed the CAT/XAT/ MAT/GMAT for the current session with minimum 50% total/ composite score or percentile. Short-listed applicants (on the basis of merit obtained) will be called for "Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection will be based on the Test score, graduation marks and performance in the GD & PI.
