Examination name : State Entrance Examination (SEE -UPTU) – 2009

Eligibility:
1. For admission to first year of B. Tech./B. Pharm., candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University; securing (i) minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in total of required subject combination (compulsory & optional) and (ii) minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in each compulsory and optional subject of this combination as given in information brochure of SEE-UPTU 2009.

2. For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD, candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

3. For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University; securing (i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in each compulsory and optional subject as given in information brochure of SEE-UPTU 2009.

A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, provides the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate,. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch. papers (paper 2 & 6) mentioned above.

4. For admission to first year of MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

5. For admission to first year of MCA., candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized University, securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in mathematics at 10+2 level or at bachelor degree level.

6. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B. Tech., the candidate must have passed `three years Diploma in Engineering course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or `three years B.Sc, degree with mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate and mlnimum40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in Mathematics.

7. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B. Pharm., the candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course: securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

8. The candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to appear in State Entrance Examination -2009 subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.

9. The details of admissions for NRI and Kashmiri migrants will be published later, in the month of May, 2009 according to the norms to be laid down by the Govt. of U.P./ AICTE.

10. This admission test is open only to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP. or whose parents (Father/Mother) are domicile of U.P. and 10% seats of All India Level candidates.



Application procedure:
The Information Brochure containing OMR Application form will be available for Sale in cash from 19.01.2009 to 02.03.2009 (both days inclusive) from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of U.P., Delhi, Nainital and Dehradun. The Information Brochure and OMR application form can also be obtained by post from Registrar, U.P. Technical University, IET, Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow - 226031 by sending a MICR bank draft of .Rs. 1050/- for General/ OBC and Rs. 550/- for SC/ST and female candidates of all categories in favour of Finance Officer, U. P. Technical University, Lucknow along with two self addressed stickers.

The request for supply of application form by post will not be entertained after 21.02.2009. The last date of receipt of duly filled OMR Application form in the office of Registrar (SEE), U.P. Technical University, IET Campus Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226 021 will be 09.03.2009.

The applications will be received in the University office by Registered/ Speed Post only. The application form received after the due date and time shall not be accepted. The University will not be responsible, for the form missed/ not received/any delay on the part of post office or for any other reason whatsoever.

Admission
Admission to degree courses in Engineering (B.Tech./Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)/Architecture (B.Arch.) / Hotel Management (BHMCT) / Fashion & Apparel Design Technology (BFAD) and Post Graduate Courses MCA / MBA of Govt. Aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to U.P Technical University along with some other Universities of Uttar Pradesh in academic session 2009-10.

KIITEE – 2009 - KIIT University

Eligibility:
For B.Tech. (4 years) Course :- Candidates applying for B.Tech. (4 years) Course should fulfill the following criteria.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in 2007, 2008 or appearing in 10+2 examination in 2009 are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 years) course of the University.

Should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling / college.

A Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Should have born on or after 01.07.1988.

For B.Tech. -LE ( 3 years) :- Pass in three years diploma course in Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1985.

For BBA / BCA (3 years) : Pass in 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks and having Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Economics / Statistics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level. Should have born on or after 01.07.1988.

For Integrated M.Sc. (Biotechnology)(5 years): Pass in 10 +2 (Science) examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and having at least 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 examination. Should have born on or after 01.07.1988.

For MCA (3 years) :- Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level-as one of the subject.

Candidate should have been born on or after 01.07.1985.

For M.Tech. (2 years):- B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class or equivalent CGPA or First Class MCA / First Class M.Sc. in (Comp/IT/ETC)

GATE qualified candidates shall be accorded preference in the process of selection. GATE qualified candidates having Score 400 or above need not sit in the entrance Examination.

M.Sc. (Biotech/Microbiology) (2 years) :- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary / Engineering / Technology / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) with at least 55% marks. Candidate should have been born on or after 01.07.1985.

For all the courses, candidates appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply. But, they have to produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination on the day of counseling, failing which their rank/position secured in the entrance Examination will stand cancelled automatically and they will have no claim for the admission as per the rank.

Application Form and Prospectus will be available online only. It will not be available in hard copy. Candidates have to apply online at http://www.kiitee.ac.in or http://www.kiit.ac.in or they can download it from the website.

The ‘Online Application Form` will be accepted after the following steps are completed:-

Browse KIIT web site http://www.kiitee.ac.in or http://www.kiit.ac.in and Click link on Admissions KIITEE-2009 and Follow the instructions given there.

Dispatch the Form along with two passport size photographs pasted in appropriate place and 10th Pass Certificate / Mark sheet.

Candidates should retain photocopies of ‘printed application form` which may serve as reference for future correspondence.

The online application will be accepted subject to receipt of printed application, photographs, copy of 10th Mark sheet only.

For downloaded application form The candidates have to fill up all the fields very carefully and send it with the photographs and 10th Pass Certificate / Mark sheet.

The print out online registration form or filled in downloaded application form should be submitted in person by post / Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier) to " The Director, Admissions, KIIT University, Koel Campus, Bhubanwar - 751024, Orissa, India” so as to reach on or before the last date of submission.

Engineering Services Examination, 2009

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Engineering Services Examination, 2009 commencing from 6th June, 2009 . The Examination will be held at various centers across the country.

Salient features of the examination are published herein for general information of candidates. For details regarding the scheme & syllabi, centers of examination, guidelines for filling up the application form etc. aspirants must consult the detailed Notice of the examination published in the Employment News / Rozgar Samachar dated 10th January, 2009 .


Eligibility

(a) Age Limit

Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years on 1st August, 2009. The Upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

(b) Educational Qualification

A candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group `A` in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/ Monitoring Organization may possess M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Candidates who qualify on the results of the- written part of the examination will be summoned for personality test.

(c) Physical Standards

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination, 2009 as per Regulations given in Appendix -II of Rules for Examination published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 10th January, 2009.

APPLICATION FORM

The Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (Specified in Appendix-III of the Notice published in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) only. Each such Form can be used once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Form from designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices, the candidates should immediately contact concerned Postmaster or UPSC‘s "Form Supply Monitoring Cell" over Telephone No. 011-23389366 / FAX No. 011-23387310.



Fee

Rs..100/- (Rupees One hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee.)

Address and Last Date for Receipt of Applications

All applications must reach "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 either by hand or by Post / Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 9th February, 2009.

However, In respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice, the last date for receipt of applications by Post/ Speed Post only (Not by Hand or by Courier) is 16th February, 2009.
