The Indian Navy

Physical Standard :

Selection Procedure : (a) Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account.

(b) SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled from Aug 09 to Dec 09 at Bangalore.

(c) The total duration of SSB interviews is five days, consisting of stage I (Day one) and stage II (Four days). Stage l Tests, consist of intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Group Discussion Tests. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be sent back on the same day from SSB Centre. Stage ll Tests consists of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests and Interview. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Tests) followed by Aviation Medical examination.

(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs cleared PABT and declared medically fit will be appointed for training based on merit list depending on the number of vacancies.

(e) Candidates not cleared PABT/Aviation medicals if opted for Short Service (Executive) may be considered for the same, if qualified medically & educationally (BE/BTech/ BSc (Phy & Maths)) provided vacancies exist and based on their position in the merit list.

(f) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.

Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences - Admission to three years DNB Course - 2009

Applications are invited for three years DNB Course (Session January 2009 -December 2011) in Neurology at IHBAS, Delhi. The candidates who have qualified CET-DNB (Super Speciality) examination will be offered admission on priority. The remaining vacancies arising after filling the seats from CET-DNB (Super Speciality) qualified candidates will be selected on the basis of a written, clinical test and interview. MCA Program (2009-12)

Admission Modalities are with reference to ISIT MCA Test (IMCAT) 2009 for the MCA Program offered by the ICFAI University, Dehradun.

The MCA program of the University is a three-year, full-time program. It is designed to develop IT Professionals.

The program also designed to train students in the state-of-art technology such as object-oriented analysis/design techniques and programming, client server application development, distributed database development, telecommunications and local area network design and artificial intelligence/expert systems.

Eligibility

Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) from any discipline (English medium) with 50% and above aggregate. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal schooling (on 10+2+3or 10+2+4 basis) by July 06, 2009. Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis are not eligible for admission into the MCA Program. Students in their final year bachelor`s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations /viva/assignments by July 06, 2009.

Admission Criteria

The selection of applicants to the MCA program is made through ISIT MCA Test (IMCAT).

IMCAT 2009: All applicants desirous of admission into the MCA Program of ISIT are required to appear for the ISIT MCA Test (IMCAT) 2009, which will be of 3 hours duration. IMCAT format comprises multiple choice questions and test an applicant`s analytical ability. Mathematical ability, vocabulary, business and computer terminology, functional grammar and reading comprehension.
