Branch VI M.D. (Siddha) — Nanjunoolum Maruthuva Neethinoolum
Eligibility: 1. A pass in the examination considered equivalent to the afore- mentioned Siddha Degrees by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai and the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (C.R.R.I) in the Hospital of Indian Systems of Medicine recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
2. The candidates should have registered their names in either any State Council of Indian Medicine or Central Council of Indian Medicine.
Note 1: Candidates who had discontinued M.D (Siddha) course on any ground can apply for admission if their discontinuance has not resulted in a seat being wasted. On the other hand, if their discontinuance had resulted in a seat being wasted, they can apply only after two years from the date of discontinuance.
Note 2: Candidates possessing M.D (Siddha) degree in any discipline can apply for another discipline. But stipend will not be paid for the candidates doing M.D (S) course in another Branch for the second time.

Application form along with the Prospectus can be had from the Director, National Institute of Siddha, Tamharam Sanatorium, Chennai - 47 by giving a requisition letter along with a crossed Demand Draft, from any of the Nationalized Banks, for Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in favour of "DIRECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE 0F SIDDHA” payable at Chennai, drawn on or after 02.03.09 For SC / ST candidates the cost of application is Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) subject to production of a duly attested Xerox copy of SC/ ST certificate, issued by the competent authority.
Application form along with the Prospectus can also be obtained by post, by sending a requisition with a sell addressed envelope of size not less than 32 cm X 25 cm, duly affixing postage stamps to the value of Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) along with the Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- ( Rs750- in case of SC / ST candidates).

Selection : Selection to this course will be made on merit, based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by the National Institute oi Siddha, Chennai-47 plus academic marks in the ratio as given in the prospectus, duly adopting the Rule of Reservation for OBC / SC / ST candidates, as mentioned in the prospectus. One seat in Noi-Naadal Branch is reserved for persons with locomotors disability of lower limbs between 40% and 60%. One seat in Sirappu Maruthuvam Branch is reserved for a foreign (BIMSTEC countries) student sponsored by the Government of India.

Eligibility: Graduate of any discipline under 10+2+3/4/5 System of any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (in part lll in the case of Arts and Science degree / in applicable years of study of Engineering or other professional UG degrees).
For SC/ST candidates, a pass is enough. Candidates appearing for Final Examinations of Bachelor‘s / Post Graduate Degree Examinations may also apply irrespective of percentage of marks obtained so far (Subject to final results fulfilling the eligibility criteria).
