Online Submission of Application Form

For the convenience of the applicants as well as their parents/ guardians, the University is also providing the facility of On-Line Submission of Application Form for CET - 2009. The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs.800/- and Rs.100/- as postage and handling can be submitted through the Internet Link: http:\\ipu.admissionhelp.com .

The last date for submitting the application form through Online is 21st April, 2009. The Admit Cards will, however, be sent only by registered post.

There are 03 options to make payments ONLINE.
(i) Credit Card of any Bank can be used.
(ii) ITZ Cash Card as being used for buying ONLINE Rail Tickets.
(iii) Net Banking payment facility for CitiBank, ICICI and HDFC Bank Customers.

Submission by Hand/Post

The Application Form complete in all respects in the sealed printed envelope given along with Admission Brochure, should be submitted by hand at the University counter or it may be sent by Registered/ Speed Post to the Controller of Examinations, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi- 110403 latest by 21st April, 2009.

For applying in more than One Test Code, the applicant should purchase separate Admission Brochure and apply separately.

Admission to these courses, except for B. Archrprogramme, will be made on the basis of Common Entrance Tests (CET) to be conducted by the University between April-June, mm. The detailed, CET schedule may be seen on the University website.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) - 2009

Aptitude test required for admissions to 1st year B.Arch. At all institutes / schools / colleges of Architecture in India (including Govt., Govt-aided, Private Unaided, University Depts., Deemed Universities, etc.), offering courses, leading to Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

Test Fees

NATA Fees are Rs.800, and are to be paid at the time of Registration and before collection of the appointment voucher from the Test Center. The test fees are to be paid by Demand draft/ Postal order/ banker’s cheque drawn in favour of ‘Council of Architecture’, payable at New Delhi.

The Council of Architecture (COA), through its academic unit - National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) at Pune, is conducting a National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission to first year of 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course for various COA approved architectural institutions in the country, for the academic session 2009-2010.

It may be noted that as per the Minimum Standards prescribed by COA under the Architects Act, 1972, the admission of candidates to first year of 5-year B.Arch. degree course shall be subject to their passing an aptitude test in architecture.

Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for admission to 5-year B.Arch. Course shall be as follows:

10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks. OR

10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics. as compulsory subject of examination.

NATA shall be conducted at various designated Test Centers in COA approved architectural institutions in the country on all working days commencing from March 15, 2009.

The registration for NATA at the designated test centers have begun w.e.f. March 1, 2009.

For appearing in NATA, the candidates are advised to access NATA website www.nata.in to download the information Brochure and the list of test centers, list of participating institutions, NATA 2009 brochure and pre-registration form.

After conduct of NATA, the admissions shall be carried out by respective State Government/ Competent Authority/Association of Architectural Institutions in the State, based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. A NATA score shall be valid for 2 years for the purposes of admission to 5-year B.Arch. degree course in an architectural institution.

The prospective students are also advised to confirm the approval status of institutions from COA website before taking admission in any institution in the country.

After admissions to 5-year B.Arch. degree course, all COA approved architectural institutions in the country shall be required to submit to COA, a list of students admitted as per the intake sanctioned by COA for the academic session 2009-2010, for enabling COA to allot Unique Enrolment Nos. to these students. The students shall be required to furnish their Enrolment Nos. at the time of applying for registration as an architect with the Council.
