Eligibility:
(a) Candidates must be Indian Citizens.

(b) Age : Candidates must have attained 17 years of age as on 1st July, 2009. There is no upper age limit.

(c) Educational Qualification : General Candidates must pass H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2). In respect of SC and ST candidates the aforesaid marks will be 40% instead of 50%.

Residential Criteria : Candidates must have been residing in the State of West Bengal for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2008 or their parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. Residential certificate in this regard shall have to be obtained in the proforma as printed in the Application Form for EVETS-2009 from any of the competent Authorities as mentioned in the Information Sheet.
Application procedure:
Candidates intending to appear in the aforesaid Joint Entrance Examination-2009 (EVETS-2009), shall have to apply in the prescribed Application Form which along with the Information Sheet will be available w.e.f. 24.03.2009 to 24.04.2009 from the Branch Offices of UNITED BANK OF INDIA at Jadavpur, Sealdah, Hatibagan, BESUS - Howrah, Serampore, Bankura, Bardhaman, Durgapur City Centre, Medinipur, Tamluk, Krishnagar, Berhampore, Malda, Coochbehar, Siliguri, on all working days on payment of Rs. 350/- in CASH.

There is also a provision for obtaining Application Form along with Information Sheet from the Office of the BOARD through Postal request only w.e.f. 24.03.2009 by sending a Bank Draft of Rs. 400/- drawn in favour of ‘WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD’ payable at Kolkata to reach the office of the Board on or before 09.04.2009. The Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.

Submission : The duly filled in Application Forms must be sent by Speed Post so as to reach the Office of the Board on or before 28.04.2009. Submission of Application Form by hand / courier service will not be accepted.

HP- CMAT - 2009 - Himachal Pradesh University

Eligibility:
Any first bachelor's degree of a university, established by law in India, at least with 50% marks(45% marks in the case of Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe candidate).

The students who are appearing for their final bachelor degree examination in 2009 shall be allowed to appear in H.P. State Combined Management Aptitude Test H.P.-C(MAT), but their final admission is subject to their satisfying the above said eligibility condition.

Age Limit

Except for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign National candidates/students, and serving/ retired defence personnel, the maximum age limit for all P.G. courses is 26 years on the 1st of July, 2009 provided that in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, the upper age limit will be raised by three years.
Application procedure:
Application form along with Handbook of Information can be obtained from the Institute on cash payment / Demand Draft at the following rates:-

General Category – Subsidized & Non-Subsidized: At Cash Counter: Rs.500/- ; By Post: Rs.550/-

SC / ST Category – Subsidized & Non-Subsidized: At Cash Counter: Rs.250/- ; By Post: Rs.300/-

Demand Draft should be in favour of “Director, Institute of Management Studies, H.P. University, Shimla.”

Candidates desirous of seeking admission in MBA Programe of Institutes other than Institute of Management Studies, H.P. University should apply separately to the respective Institute(s).
Exam Centers
The HP-CMAT will be conducted at Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Solan, Hamirpur, Delhi and Dharamshala, Mandi.
