Ph D Admission - 2009

The Institute offers Ph.D. programmes in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
Eligibility: Ph.D. in Engineering:

a) Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record.

b) Candidates with Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and of exceptional merit where eligible, for the relevant Engineering discipline and with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration.

In the case of candidates with more than 5 years relevant experience after the Master’s degree, the requirement of a test score may be waived by the Selection Committee.

c) Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with exceptionally good academic record in an eligible discipline will be considered for direct admission to Ph.D. Programme as a regular full time scholar subject to the following conditions:

a B.Tech degree holder of an IIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale and with a valid GATE score.

a Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/ Technology from any other University should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University and having a valid GATE score.

a Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/ Technology from a reputed R & D organization and having a proven research record.

Ph.D. in Sciences:

a) Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and having a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.

b) Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology where eligible with a good academic record.

c) B.Tech degree holder of an IIT where eligible with a minimum of CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 point scale or with a valid GATE Score.
Application procedure: (a) Download the Application form from the website and should accompany a DD for Rs. 250 (Rs.125 for SC/ST/PD/Female Candidates).

Documents to be enclosed along with the Application Form:

(b) Copies of all Mark sheets / grade cards, degree certificates beginning from first degree towards proof of qualification. [Original certificates should not be enclosed].

(c) Copy of Community Certificate in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates issued by the respective State Government. OBC candidates have to submit an attested copy of non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form (copy enclosed) issued by competent authority.

(d) Authorised Doctor’s Certificate with disability descriptions in the case of Person with Disabled (PD) candidates.

(e) Copy of GATE score or NET (UGC-JRF/ Lectureship/ CSIR/ DAE-JEST) or other fellowship award.

Eligibility: For MA : Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized institution (For SC/ST candidates 45%). Desirable : For M.A. Hindi (Translation Technology) candidates should have knowledge of English & Hindi languages.

For MILE ; The candidates should have 50% marks (For SC/ST candidates 45%) obtained in Computer Science/information Technology from a recognized university and Bachelors Degree. (OR) Graduate from recognized university with 50% (For SC/ST candidates 45%) and Diploma in Computer Application/Language Technology. Desirable : knowledge of English & Hindi languages.

For MSW: Graduation in Humanities / Social Sciences with 50% marks (For SC/ST candidates 45%) from a recognized university.

For M. Phil: Master Degree with 55% marks in concerned subject (for SC/ST 50%) or in any allied/cognate discipline.

For Ph.D.: Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in concerned subject or in any allied/cognate discipline.

For Ph.D.(Informatics and Language Engineering): Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computational Linguistics/ Language Technology Translation Technology from any recognized university with knowledge of Language Programming.

(OR) Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics from any recognized university with Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/information Technology.

(OR) M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computer Science/information Technology or MILE from any recognized university.
Application procedure: The prospectus along with application form may be obtained by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (including Postal expenses) in favour of ‘Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya" payable at Wardha on the address given below or by paying Rs. 200/- in cash.

Candidates belonging to the SC/ST & Physically Challenged categories may obtain the form by sending a demand draft of Rs.150/- (including postal expenses) or by paying in cash Rs. 100/- at university cash counter.

Candidates applying for more than one course should submit separate demand draft for each course. The application form is also available on University Website: www.hindivishwa.org . While submitting the down-loaded application form, candidates belonging to the general category should enclose a demand draft of Rs. 200/- and candidates belonging to the SC/ST & Physically challenged categories should enclose a D.D. of Rs. 100/- only.

Admission Notice - 2009

Parents / Guardians of the students passing out class V-VIII from MCD/Unaided/ Government-aided / Government/Unrecognized schools are hereby informed that like previous years, the following admission procedure will be adopted in Delhi Government Schools for the academic session 2009-10.

(A) ADMISSION OF STUDENTS STUDYING IN MCD SCHOOLS

MCD schools will hold `DAKHILA ABHIYAN`/camp for admission for 5th class passed out students from 26th March, 2009 (Thursday) to 31st March, 2009 (Tuesday). Admission in Government schools for these children will begin from 26th March, 2009 (Thursday) and finish by 31st March, 2009 (Tuesday). Parents are requested to attend `DAKHILA ABHIYAN`/ admission camp on the designated date to ensure that they receive admission ticket having details of the designated Delhi Government schools to which their ward would be admitted.

(B) OPEN ADMISSION

The admission is open in all Government schools run by the Directorate of Education on the basis of admission test and as per vacancy available for all students who have either not studied in any recognized school ( on the basis of undertaking) and those who have studied in recognized unaided/ Government aided / Government school but wish to change their school in class VI to IX as per following schedule and criteria;

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR ADMISSION TEST

Registration can be done online from any Government School or Office of the Deputy Director of Education or Jeevan Service Centres run by Department of Information and Technology, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi whichever is nearest to the residence of the child from 1st April, 2009 (Wednesday) to 15th April,2009 (Wednesday) through Department`s website www.edudel.nic.in.

ADMISSION TEST

The centralized admission test for all classes VI, VII, VIII and IX will be held on 17th April, 2009 (Friday). Admission test will consist of objective type questions.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

The selection will be made on the basis of merit cum choice of school. Students of recognized unaided / Government aided / Government school will be ranked based on merit as per their result. The students who have not studied in any recognized school will have to pass the exam besides being ranked on the basis of their merit. However, in all cases, students will be allotted school on merit and distance criteria generated through computerized system nearest to their residence as filled by the parents / guardians at the time of registration.

Declaration pf Admission Test Result

The list of selected students will be displayed at all examination centres (cluster schools)/ Zonal offices! Offices of the Deputy Director of Education / Computer cell, Directorate of Education, Old Secretariat on 25th April, 2009 (Saturday) at 3.00 pm. Selected students will be required to take admission in designated school by 30th April, 2009
