 Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round
Submission of Online Option/Preference Form for CAP Round-I, II & III and the Counselling Round of Admission (CAP Round-IV) of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the Academic Year 2010-11

This Notification is being issued only for those eligible candidates (whose names are appeared in the Final Merit of MBA/ MMS/ PGDBM/ PGDM ) to be admitted to seats available for respective CAP rounds of admission in First Year of Post Graduate Degree courses in MBA / MMS/ PGDBM/ PGDM in the institutes participating in the CAP for the academic year 2010-11.

The Candidates who are eligible (as per rule no. 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 mentioned in the information brochure) for admission to First Year of Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/ MMS/ PGDBM/ PGDM are required to submit the Online Option Form for various CAP rounds on website www.dte.org.in/mba through their login ID.

Candidates are required to submit and confirm the online option form by himself/herself (candidates are not required to go to ARC for verifying & confirming online option form). Once the candidate confirms his/her Option/preference form online through his/her Login ID for the respective admission rounds, will not be able to change the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.

Separate lists of candidates eligible to participate in each of CAP Round II, III & IV, will be published on the website as per schedule and shall be subject to the 'Rules of Reporting' set out in the Annexure-I of the information Brochure.

• Candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- in cash as a facilitation fee for each of CAP Round I, II and III at ARC if the facilitation of ARC is availed by the candidate for submitting the online option form.

• Candidates are required to pay Rs.100/- in cash as a processing fee for CAP Round IV (Counselling Round) at the Counselling Centre.

• Procedure for Filling up of the Online Option/Preference Form for CAP Round - I, CAP Round-II and CAP Round-III, through Candidate’s Login and Reporting to the allotted institutes after allotment is given in information brochure. Candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully.

• All the candidates except Backward Class Category of Maharashtra Sate are required to pay full fees as approved by the Government for Govt./Govt. Aided / University Department/ University Managed institutions and as approved by Shikshan Shulka Samitee for unaided institutions at the time of confirming the admission in the allotted Institute. (Refer Rule 9.0 and 9.1)

• Admission Round by counselling i.e. CAP Round-IV: Only MS candidates whose names have appeared in the list of candidates eligible to participate in the CAP Round-IV, are required to report in person at the following Centre of Admission as per the schedule:

Note: Candidate who will be offered admission in CAP Round-IV, is required to confirm the said admission on the spot by paying part payment of fee Rs.15,000/- in the form of DD drawn on "The Director, Technical Education" payable at Mumbai which is non refundable. Candidates are required to report to the respective institute as per the schedule.

Note
1. The Candidate has to submit and confirm the Online Option/ preference Form for CAP Round I/ II/ III through candidate login by himself/herself. It is not required to report to ARC for confirmation.

2. The ARC shall act only as facilitation centre for the Candidates to submit and confirm the Online Option/Preference Form. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to submit and confirm the online Option form by himself/herself.

3. Candidate can modify preferences, add choices, delete choices before confirmation of the online option/preference form

4. The Option/preference form just submitted, but not confirmed by the candidate himself/herself will not be processed for allotment for respective CAP Rounds.

5. The Online Option/preference form once confirmed by the candidate will not be cancelled.

6. The online Option/preference form once confirmed by the candidate can not be changed/altered/modified.

7. Candidate should keep the printout of the online option/preference form after confirmation by the candidate for future reference.

8. All institutes will remain open between 11 am to 5 pm on all days of reporting.

9. The schedule displayed above is provisional and may change under unavoidable circumstances. The revised schedule, if any, will be notified on website www.dte.org.in/mba . Indian Coast Guard (ICG)

Applications are invited from male Indian Nationals possessing educational qualifications  and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Yantriks, Naviks (Genera Duty) an Naviks (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard

Eligibility Criteria

Yantrik: Matriculate with three years Diploma in Mechanical Electrical / Electronics Engg. Recognised by AICTE.

Age: Born between 01 Jan 89 and 1 Jan 93. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

Navik (General Duty): 10+2 with Maths and Physics from an educational board recognised by Central / State Government.

Age: Born between 01 Jan 89 and 1 Jan 93. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward): Matriculate

Age: Born between 01 Apr 89 and 1 Apr 93. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)

MEDICAL STANDARDS

(a) Height: Minimum 157 cms. (May be reduced by 5 cms. in the case of Nepalese, Assamese including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim, local tribal of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and by 2 cms. in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, Mainland settlers in Andaman & Nicobar and candidates joining the Indian Coast Guard on second appointment from other government departments).

(b) Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.

(c) Weight: Proportionable to height and age (+)(-) 10% acceptable.

(d) Eye Sight

(i) Yantrik: 6/12 (Good Eye) and 6/24 (Bad Eye).

ii) General Duty: 6/6 (Good Eye) and 6/9 (Bad Eye) (Candidates using glasses are not eligible for GD Branch).

iii) Domestic Branch: 6/18 (Good Eye) and 6/36 (Bad Eye)

Hearing: Normal

Should have good set of Teeth

Good Health: Free from all communicable diseases, medical or surgical deformity, should have no history of fits or psychiatric ailment. Candidates must be physically & mentally fit for duty anywhere in the world.

(a) Yantriks: Application on plain paper in the form given (type written or hand written in English / Hindi) is to be sent to the Recruitment Officer, Post Box No. 127, Noida (U.P), Pin Code - 201 301 "Under Postal Certificate" only. Registered letter & Speed Post will not be accepted. Sewing Defence personnel are to apply through proper channel. Central / State Govt. Employees should also apply through Heads of Departments. Attested copies (not returnable) of certificates of age, educational qualifications including statements of marks, caste certificate (if SC, ST OBC), NCC, Sports are to be tagged with the application. One self-addressed unstamped envelope of size 25 X 10 cms. should be attached with the application. One additional passport size photograph is to be attached separately. Character Certificate (issued six months prior to exam/interview).

(b) Naviks: Applications on plain paper in the form given (type written / hand written in English / Hindi) is to be sent to the under mentioned address Under Postal Certificate only. Registered letters & Speed Post will not be accepted.

Serving Defence Personnel are to apply through proper channel.

Central / State Government employees should also apply through Heads of Departments. Attested copies (not returnable) of certificate as proof of age, educational qualifications including statement of marks, caste certificate (if SC, ST OBC), NCC, Sports and a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of size 22 X 10 cms. are to be attached with the application. All enclosures must be pinned / tagged with the application. One additional passport size photograph is to be attached Separately. Character Certificate (issued six months prior to exam/interview).

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)

Applications are invited for KVPY FELLOWSHIPS for school and college students interested in research careers

The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships (Rs.4000 to Rs.7000 p.m.) and contingency grants (equivalent of four months fellowships per annum) to students studying in XI standard to B.Sc./B.S./ Integrated M.Sc., and I/ II year of B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ MBBS. Selection to the program takes into account academic excellence and demonstrated interest in research. Selection is open to Indian nationals studying in India.

Eligibility Criteria

BASIC SCIENCES
• Stream SA : Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science subjects) during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST)marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.

• Stream SB+2 (SX): Students enrolled in class 12 (+2) during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc. / B.S./ Int. M.Sc.) for the session 2011 - 2012 provided they secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X standard Board Examination.

• Stream SB : Students enrolled in 1st year B.Sc. /B.S./ Int. M.Sc. during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.

• Stream SP (Basic Sciences)*: Students enrolled in XI/XII standard, I/II year (B.Sc./ B.S./ Int. M.Sc.) in Basic Sciences and I/II year B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. during the academic year 2010 - 2011 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate in the X & XII Standard Board Examinations. Students enrolled in the II year B.Sc./ B.S./ Int. M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. program must have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in the year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative science based research project must be submitted along with the application.

*Engineering students may also apply for the stream SP Basic Sciences

MEDICINE

• Stream SP (Medicine) : Students enrolled in I/II professional year of the MBBS program during the academic year 2010 -2011 and have secured 75% (65% for SC! ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination. Students enrolled in the II professional year of the MBBS program must have secured 60% (50% for SC/ ST) marks in the 1st year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative Bio-Medical project must be submitted along with the application.

Application Procedure

Each Stream has its own application form. Students who wish to apply for more than one stream should submit separate applications.

• Applicants may apply either by Hard copy or Online. (http://www.kvpy.org.in

• Application forms may be downloaded from the KVPY Website. Those who are unable to do so, may request for a Hard copy.

• A hard copy of the application form can be obtained from KVPY on request by remitting a processing fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ ST) at any core banking branches of STATE BANK OF INDIA, to the credit of Administrative Executive, KVPY A/c. No. 10270577392. The "pay-in-slip" should be sent along with the request clearly indicating the stream (i.e., SA, SB+2 (SX), SB, SP).

• SC / ST candidates should provide a copy of the caste certificate
issued by a competent authority in the prescribed proforma.

• The completed application form along with the following should reach KVPY on or before 10.09.2010.

a) Caste certificate in the case of SC/ ST candidates

b). A copy of the project report in the case of Stream SP

c) Original pay-in slip of Rs.200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST)

d) Copy of the marks statement of the qualifying examination
for Stream SP only
