Eligibility Criteria

For admission into BIT Mesra PG Diploma 2011 courses candidates must hold a B. Pharma degree from a PCI and AICTE approved Institute / MBBS / BVSc / BDS / BAMS / M.Sc. Life Sciences degree from a recognized University. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation / postgraduation (QE). In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation / postgraduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

Admission of Foreign Nationals

Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (http://www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate well in advance from the evaluation division of the AIU (website http://www.aiuweb.org).

In case any Board / University awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board / University. In case a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

Download and print the application form. Send completed form (in A4 Size envelope) with required enclosures and crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (in favor of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi) to office of the Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 835215, by the due date. Write PG Diploma 2010 (SP 2011) on the envelope.

Eligibility Criteria

However candidates could send the advance copy in case of delay in getting the sponsorship formalities.

Selection Procedure

The Students shall be selected through an entrance examination conducted by IIITM-K followed by an interview. The total intake of the programme is 40 of which 20 are from open quota. 15 seats are reserved for the extension officers officers working in Government Departments like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Diary and allied sectors. Reservation of seats for SC/ST applicable as per government rules.

5 seats a reserved for Sponsored Category : Interested agricultural related organizations, NGO`s, Public Sector Undertakings, State Government Departments, Private Organizations may sponsor their employees. For those sponsored candidates, only interview may be conducted.
