Non IIT Institutes Accepting IIT JEE 2012 AIR


The IIT JEE 2012 is common entrance exam for admission into IITs UG program. However, other than IITs following institutes also accept IIT JEE 2012 AIR for Under Graduate Admission. Students interested to join these institutes shall apply separately.


Following given list of institutes which will accept IIT JEE 2012 AIR (All India Rank)


Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli for admission to the following B.Tech courses
B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering (earlier called Petroleum Reservoir and Production Engineering) - 40 seats
B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (earlier called Petroleum Refining Engineering) - 35 seats

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) for admission to-
5 year integrated Master of Science (MS) program.

Indian Maritime University for admission into following under graduate programs


3-year B.Sc.(Nautical Science) degree course at T.S. Chanakya, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai campus.
4-year B.Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course at Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, Kolkata campus and National Maritime Academy, Chennai, Chennai campus.
3-year B.Sc. (Maritime Science) degree course at Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai, Mumbai campus.

IIT JEE 2012 Evaluated answers sheets will be online

NEW DELHI: The IIT JEE 2012 aspirants will now be able to view IIT JEE 2012 evaluated answer sheets online. The answer sheets of all IIT JEE 2012 test takers will be available from 5 to May 10 via IIT JEE 2012
official website. In case if any students shall find any mistake in marks allotment or any such thing, he / she can submit an evaluation request. If claim found by IIT JEE to be true, the updates shall be available by May 14, 2012 via IIT JEE official website. This facility is to assist students in fair manner for self satisfaction and in either case to evaluate technical glitches.


The IIT JEE 2012 AIR shall be published on 18.05.2012.

AIEEE 2012 Latest Updates Regarding Absentees

 The AIEEE 2012 aspirants who applied for offline exam but not appeared for the same on 29.04.2012 may submit request to appear for AIEEE 2012 Online Exam scheduled in May.

1. Those candidates opted for offline mode of examination and could not appear for AIEEE 2012 offline examination conducted on 29th April 2012 for B.E./B.Tech can apply for online exam of AIEEE 2012 for 12th, 19th and 26th May 2012 dates only (Any other date can be alloted by the CBSE to the candidate in case the seat is not available on selected date).
2. CBSE reserves the right to change the date of online examination selected by the candidate due to non availablility of the capacity on the specified date.
3. Irrespective of the request submitted, only those candidates will be considered valid who could not appear on 29th April 2012 AIEEE offline examination.

IIT JEE 2012 Architecture Aptitude Test Dates

IIT JEE 2012 Aptitude Test for Admission into B.Arch program will be held on 03.06.2012. The test duration will be 3 hours from 9 am to 12 noon. Qualification in this paper is a must to get admission in B.Arch program. However, admission shall be offered on the basis of IIT JEE 2012 AIR.
Interested candidate must register for Architecture Aptitude Test between 25.05.2012 to 30.05.2012. The test center will be IIT Zonal office.


Syllabus for Aptitude Test for B. Arch. Programmes

(Only for IIT-JEE 2012 qualified candidates)


Freehand drawing: This would comprise of simple drawing depicting the total object in its right form and proportion, surface texture, relative location and details of its component parts in appropriate scale.  Common domestic or day-to-day life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.

Geometrical drawing: Exercises in geometrical drawing containing lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles etc.  Study of plan (top view), elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders etc.

Three-dimensional perception:  Understanding and appreciation of three-dimensional forms with building elements, colour, volume and orientation.  Visualization through structuring objects in memory.

Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity: Composition exercise with given elements.  Context mapping. Creativity check through innovative uncommon test with familiar objects.  Sense of colour grouping or application.

Architectural awareness: General interest and awareness of famous architectural creations – both national and international, places and personalities (architects, designers etc. ) in the related domain.

Candidates are advised to bring geometry box sets, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons for the Aptitude Test.
