IITs UG Admission 2012 Important Notice
The Chairman IIT JEE 2012 announces through IIT JEE 2012 official website regarding 4.5% reservation for OBC (NCL) minority category candidates. Below given full text of Press Release that I found via IIT JEE 2012 official website.

In view of (i) the recent Judgment by the honorable Andhra Pradesh High Court, setting aside the Government resolution No. F1-1/2005-U-1 A/846 dated 22nd December 2011, providing reservation of 4.5% of seats to the candidates belonging to OBC(NCL)-Minority community and (ii) recent guidelines received from MHRD, all candidates are hereby advised to take note of the following while finalizing choice of courses in the on-going “IIT JEE Counselling”:
“In the absence of any further legal development/information from MHRD before 13th June 2012, the judgment of the Andhra Pradesh High Court will be implemented by ignoring the provision for reservation of 4.5% seats and by converting seats meant for OBC(NCL)-Minority community to OBC(NCL) category. Therefore, all the shortlisted candidates are advised to note that availability of 4.5% reservation for OBC(NCL)-Minority shall depend on the legal developments till 13th June and hence they may register the choice of courses accordingly."
