Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts is an autonomous institute under the department of culture, Government of UP. Applications are invited for Admission 2014 into two year Diploma in Dramatic Arts. This is a Full Time Residential Course. New Session shall begin from 15 July 2014. Candidates shall receive comprehensive professional training in Acting, Direction, Designing and Theatre Techniques etc.
The Medium of Instruction is Hindi & English
Eligibility Criteria: Graduation from a recognized university. Good knowledge of Hindi and English. Working experience of 10 plays and comprehensive study of 10 Indian & Western plays.
Age Limit: 20 – 30 years on 1 July 2014 (Five years relaxation in age limit for SC / ST candidates)
Reservation: Two seats reserved for SC / ST candidates preferably for applicants hailing from the families related to performing arts. If those candidates are not available then only the general category candidates will be considered for such seats.
Selection Procedure: Through Preliminary Written Test, Interview and Audition. The candidates qualifying in above test, interview and audition will have to attend a workshop of two days in the academy campus for final selection. For this workshop they will be provided accommodation on a modest sharing basis. Decision of the selection committee will be final. Any for of canvassing or approach will be considered as disqualification.
Facilities for the students: Fully furnished hostel, self financed cooperative mess, cable TV, Internet, Wi-Fi, Newspapers, free bus service for watching selected plays being staged by other theatre organization / groups.
Fee: Fee is chargeable for the training,
Seats: Total 20 students will be selected in which 12 student will be awarded scholarship of Rs. 2000 /- per month to cover tuition fee, hostel fee and education materials. Eight students will be selected on self-financed seats.

Admission Application Form can be obtained from BNA Office on payment of Rs. 500/- by cash or by money order or bank draft in favour of Director, Bhartendu Natya Academy, Lucknow. Last date for submission of application form is 20 June 2014
