All India Pre Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT 2011) for MBBS / BDS

Central Board Of Secondary Education,Delhi,would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination,2011 for admission to MBBS/ BDS course under 15% Merit Position in Medical / Dental Colleges


Eligibility Criteria

i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre- Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes.

Candidate must born on or between

(a) 01.01.82 to 01.01.95 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 01.01.87 to 01.01.95 (Other Category)

(iii) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-

a) They are not eligible to appear for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K. and

b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh/ J&K.

Qualifications and Qualifying examination Codes:

CODE : 01

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

NOTE: where the course content is not as prescribed for 10 +2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre - professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges. OR

CODE : 02

The Intermediate/ Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio- technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English. OR

CODE : 03

The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects. OR

CODE : 04

The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. OR

CODE : 05

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. OR

CODE : 06

Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology ; Which shall include practical test in these subjects.) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/ Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. OR

CODE : 07

A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance.

Application Procedure

ONLINE

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board's website www.aipmt.nic.in from 15.11.2010 [10.00 AM.] to 31.12.2010 (5.00 P.M.). Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on website. Candidates submitting on-line application have been given exemption of Rs.100/- in the examination fee irrespective of their category.

Accordingly- fee of Rs. 700/- for General/ BC Category Candidates and Rs. 350/- for SC / ST Category Candidates may be remitted in the following ways :

1. By Credit Card, or
2. Through Demand Draft in fayour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.

OFFLINE

Offline submission of Application may be made on the prescribed Application Form. The Information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs.800/- for General / OBC Category and Rs.450/- for SC / ST category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank / Regional Offices of the CBSE between 13.12.2011 to 31.12.2011.

Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Post from the Board by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs.850/- for General / OBC Category and Rs.500/- for SC / ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self-Addressed Envelope of size 12"x 10” . The request must reach to the Board on or before 24.12.2011. The request should be superscribed as “Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT - 2011”.

All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2010

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2010 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/ Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH AND JAMMU & KASHMIR:-

1. Preliminary Examination — 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday)

2. Final Examination - 16th May, 2010 (Sunday)

Pattern of examination:

Both preliminary and Final examination would be Objective type.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/ her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./ B.D.S. Course and is an NDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes.

(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

(iv) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates
belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates.

Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2010 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

(v) 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 27% seats for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Institutions only and 3% seats on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/ BDS courses.

How to apply?

A candidate can apply for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination in either of the following two ways:-

Offline

Offline submission of Application may be "made on the prescribed Application Form. The information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs. 800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 450/- for SC/ST Category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE between 20.10.2009 and 27.11.2009. Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Post from the Board by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs. 850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12" x 10".

The request must reach to the Board on or before 18.11.2009. The request should be superscribed as "Request for information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT-2010".

Online

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in from 20-10-2009 (10.00 A.M.) to 27-11-2009 (5.00 PM.). Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and Computer generated printout are available on the Board’s website.

Fee of Rs. 800/- for General/OBC Category Candidates and Rs. 450/- for SC/ST Category Candidates may be remitted in the following ways

1. By credit card, or

2. Through Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.

CBSE Pre Medical Test

Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) - All India Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS / BDS Course, 2009

All India Entrance Examination for Admission to MBBS / BDS Course, 2009 under 15% Merit Positions in Medical / Dental Colleges.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

Application Form





Offline

The Information Bulletin containing Application Form can be obtained against cash payment of Rs.600/- for General & OBC Category and Rs. 350/- for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Category from any specified branch of Canara Bank or Regional Offices of CBSE. This includes cost of Bulletin as well as Counseling Fee. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. The form will be available from between 22.10.2008 to 01.12.2008.

THE CANARA BANK WILL NOT SEND THE INFORMATION BULLETIN BY POST, HENCE NO REQUEST SHOULD BE MADE TO THE BANK FOR SENDING THE BULLETIN BY POST.

By Post

The information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs.650/- for General & OBC Category Candidates and Rs.400/- for SC/ST Category Candidates payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12” x 10". The request must reach the Deputy Secretary [AIPMT], CBSE, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi•110 301 on or before 21 -11-2008. Request received thereafter will not be entertained, The request should be super scribed as “Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT, 2009”.

Online

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in . The candidate should supply all details while filling up the online form. Candidates are required to take a print of the Online Application after successful submission of data. The print out of the computer generated Application Form, complete in all respect as applicable for Offline submission should be sent to the Deputy Secretary (AIPMT), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110 301 by Speed Post/Registered Post only.

Candidate should pay the examination fee (Rupees 600/- for General & OBC Category and Rupees 350/- for SC/ST Category) in the following ways: -

a) By Credit Card , OR

b) Through Demand Draft in favour of “The Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi” drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.
