Eligibility: Essential: Applicant must be a resident Indian National.

Educational: a) Minimum of MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. B) Must have completed the required period of 12 months pre-registration Internship from a recognized hospital on or before 31st March 2010.

Candidates who have already done/are pursuing MD/MS in any subject at the time of counseling ar not eligible for MD / MS courses.
Application procedure: Application-cum-Prospectus for MD / MS Courses 2010 Session can be obtained by one of the following methods:

i) From the counter of State Bank of India (SBI), JIPMER Campus only from 18-11-2009 to 31-12-2009. OR

(ii) Postal request to Professor Academic, JIPMER from 18-11-2009 to 23-12-2009 accompanied by DD or original challan of account transfer as mentioned below. Two stickers with candidate's address written legibly must also be enclosed for correct delivery of the Prospectus and Application Form. OR

iii) On-Line submission through JIPMER website www.jipmer.edu.in from 18-11-2009 to 23-12-2009. Completed On-Line Applications with proof of payment must reach Professor Academic, JIPMER on or before 31-12-2009.

PROCESS OF PAYMENT:

Prospectus and Application Form are available on cash payment of Rs. 1,000/- (for categories UR/OBC/ I-UR/ I-OBC) Rs.800/- (for categories SC/ ST/ I-SC /I-ST ) only at STATE BANK 0F INDIA, JIPMER CAMPUS Branch.

Applicants wanting to obtain the Prospectus and the Pre-Printed Form by post will have to either send a MICR Demand Draft drawn in favour of "ACCUUNTS OFFICER, JIPMER” payable at Puducherry (Union Territory) or attach the original challan as proof of their Account Transfer for the above prescribed amount.

The
admit card and a covering letter having necessary instructions will be made available on the CIP website (www.cipranchi.nic.in ).

The admit card and the covering letter are to be downloaded and printed by the candidates and the same to be brought with them to the examination centre. Examinee will not be allowed to enter the examination hall with any electronic communication gadgets viz. Mobile Phones, Pager etc. Examinees, who come to the examination centre, with any such gadget, he/she has to make his/her own arrangements for keeping these outside the examination centre. This should be strictly complied with.

Candidates applying for both M.D. and D.P.M. and for both Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) and M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology courses starting from May 1, 2010 need to submit only one application each. They should clearly mention the names of the course applied for, in order of preference.

• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/heradmission.

• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010.

• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/ left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 .

• Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2010 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 foradmission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.
