In view of the stated Extended second round of 50% All India Quota seats, the schedule to fill State Quota seats by Personal Counseling round will be as per below stated schedule.

Date: 21 /06/ 2010 Up-to 5.00 P.m.
The candidates who has joined a seat of 50% All India quota in the State of Maharashtra, and wishes to surrender, should surrender his/her seat so as to be eligible for Personal Counseling Round and PGD-CET-2011 (i.e. next PGDCET).[ As per the rules of PGD-CET-2010 (Rule No. 12.4.1 (c))]

11.00 a.m.: The candidates who have filled the preference form either on 24/3/2010 or 15/4/2010, and eligible as per rule no. 12.4 of PGD-CET 2010 brochure.

All those candidates to whom a seat has been allotted in the first round of PGDCET 2010 should note that the Status Retention Form filled prior to 22/06/2010 stands

The selection process will be according to the rules of PGD-CET 2010. All the desirous candidates who are eligible as per the rules should attend the personal counseling round according to the above schedule.
The candidates should bring all the original documents for verification as per the rule no. 11.2.3 of PGD- CET 2010 information brochure.

Candidates who have already joined a PG Course through PGD-CET 2010 should bring a certificate issued by the institute where he/she has joined, stating that the original certificates have been retained by it.

Candidates should note that they have to confirm the admission immediately after allotment of seat by paying Rs.1000/- in cash as admission fee and deposit all the original documents at the time of personal counseling.

NALSAR University of Law

Two Year Masters Degree in Law of Financial Services & Capital Markets [ML (FS & CM)] 2010-2012

Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor’s Degree with a Minimum 50% of marks in the qualifying examination of any university. Students whose results are awaited may also can apply subject to the condition that by the time of interview for selection, the candidates should be able produce marks sheet of the qualifying examination, along with pass certificate.

University of Rajasthan (UOR)

Applications are invited (in Form A) for admission to M.Phil. & Ph.D. Programmes in different subjects (as specified on University website www.uniraj.ernet.in or www.uniraj.ac.in ).

As per new rules, admissions to these programmes will be made through an entrance test (Uniraj-MPAT) for each subject / discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

Students willing to seek admission in affiliated colleges are required to take Uniraj-MPAT Test.

Students who have qualified in UGC/CSIR NET/SLET (conducted by Rajasthan State only)/ GATE/ Teacher fellowship holder will be exempted from the Test.

For M.Phil. programme, teachers permanently appointed prior to 1991-92 and for Ph.D. programme permanent teachers appointed on a substantive basis with three years of continuous service on regular pay scale are also exempted from Uniraj-MPAT. However, students/ teachers exempted from the Test are required to fill in Form B.

Students awaiting result of qualifying exam,ination are also eligible for appearing in Uniraj-MPAT 2010, they will have to submit the result by August 10, 2010

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Geologists Examination–2010

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Geologists’ Examination, 2010 commencing from 04th December, 2010 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist, Group A in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydro geologist (Scientist ‘B’), Group ‘A’ and Asstt. Hydro geologist, Gr. ‘B' in the Central Ground Water Board. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limits: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2010.

The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes / Physically Handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold (i) Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology: or (ii) Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or (iii) Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in Central Ground Water Board only) from a recognized University; or (iv)

Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in Appendix-II of Rules for the Geologist’s Examination, 2010 published in the Gazette of India dated 19th June, 2010.

Application Procedure

(a) Candidates, who wish to apply offline, must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-lll of the Notice published in the Employment News dated 19.06.2010) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only).

Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination. FEE: (a) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.

(b) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa, ‘Master Credit / Debit Card.

(c) All Female candidates / SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).
