Eligibility Criteria

QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together;

(i) For MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS – a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% for General-PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC#/SC/ST and respective PC candidates;

(ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General / OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

AGE: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2012 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1996 and on or before 31st December, 1987 need not apply).

Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.


The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm X 6 cm size must also accompany it.

The requisition for PMT Application Form should be super scribed “Request for Application Form for PMT-2012, BHU”. Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is 27.02.2012.

Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi-221005 can be obtained by POST only and not in person upto 27.02.2012.

National Law University, Jodhpur Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) – 2012

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Schools/ Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M).

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Under-Graduate Programmes

To be eligible to appear in CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/ Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and PWD).

Candidates who have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.

Age of candidate should not be more than 20 years in case of General/ OBC candidates (22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with Disability ) as on 1st July, 2012.

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.

Eligibility for Post-Graduate Programmes

To be eligible for appearing in CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability).

Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission


Any graduate from a recognized University, with minimum education of 15 years (10+2+3) with atleast 50% marks for the General / OBC (non creamy) candidates and 45% marks for SC / ST candidates in Graduation.

Latest Valid Test scores of any one of the National level Tests - CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / CMAT at the time of application. These guidelines may get modified / subject to be modified depending upon AICTE guidelines from time to time.

The percentage obtained by the candidate in the Bachelor's Degree would be based on the practice followed by the University / institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

Applicants who have appeared for bachelor's degree examination and awaiting results may also apply subject to fulfillment of conditions by 14/08/2012.

NDA & NA Academy Exam I - 2012

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2012

An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 15th April, 2012 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 129th Course, and for the 91st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from December 2012.

The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :

(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or

(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible.

(c) Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce
Matriculation/10+2 or equivalent certificate in original at the time of SSB Interview should forward the certificates alongwith photocopies thereof to Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting, Army HQ, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066' and for Naval Academy candidates to 'Naval Headquarters, DMPR, OI&R Section, Room No. 204, `C' Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi-110011' by 5th December, 2012 failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

NOTE : Those candidates who have failed INSB/PABT earlier are not eligible for Air Force.

(d) Physical Standards :

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2012 as per guidelines given in Appendix-IV.

(e) A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of Armed Forces is not eligible to apply.

In case of any guidance/information/clarification regarding their applications, candidature etc. candidates can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near Gate ‘C’ of its campus in person or over Telephone No.011-23385271/ 011-23381125/ 011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs. and 17.00 hrs.

FEE :

Candiates (excepting SC/ST candidates/ Sons of JCOs/ NCOs/ ORs who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur /Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

No fee exemption is, however, available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

NOTE-2: The sons of serving/ex-Junior Commissioned Offcers/ Non-Commissioned Officers/ Other Ranks of Army and equivalent ranks in the Indian Navy/ Indian Air Force are also not required to pay the prescribed fee if they are studying in Military School (formerly known as King George's School)/Sainik School run by Sainik Schools Society.

MU OET 2012 Application Form How To Apply

1. Apply online CLICK HERE - You can make the payment by using credit card or net banking. You may also submit the application online and pay by Demand Draft.

2. Download application – You can download prospectus CLICK HERE . You would need to fill the application form and attach a DD (for Rs. 1500 in case of Engineering and other courses with an entrance) and send it to Manipal University by post.

ISAT-2012 Schedule

ISAT 2012 examination will be held on Saturday, 21st April 2012 between 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon (IST)

ISAT 2012 Exam Pattern

The question paper will be of objective type and will consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The detailed syllabi based on which ISAT-2012 will be conducted, for the three subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be included in the ISAT-2012 Brochure.

ISAT 2012 Application Form - How to Apply

Candidates can apply on-line only. The on-line application form is available from 10:00 AM on 1st November 2011 to 11:30 PM on 31st December 2011 at the IIST website. Candidates will be guided at this stage about how to complete the application process, remit examination fee etc.

ISAT-2012 Exam Centres

ISAT 2012 Examination Fee

Students desirous of appearing in ISAT-2012 shall have to pay examination fee as under:
GEN/OBC male candidates: Rs.600
SC/ST/PD and all female candidates: Rs.300

ISAT-2012 Eligibility

Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria given below for appearing in ISAT-2012:

[Categories : GEN - General, OBC - Other Backward Class, SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, PD- Physically Disabled]

1. Citizenship: The candidate has to be an Indian citizen to apply for ISAT-2012.

2. Date of Birth: Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories should be born on or after 1st October 1987, while those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories should be born on or after 1st October 1982.

3. Minimum Percentage of Marks in Class X or equivalent examination: Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must have secured at least 70% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination, while those belonging to SC,ST and PD categories must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination.

4. Minimum Percentage of Marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination: Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% marks in the aggregate in their Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers in their Qualifying Examination (QE), while those belonging to SC,ST, and PD categories must secure at least 60% marks in the aggregate in their PCM papers in their QE.

5. Year of first appearance for final Qualifying Examination (QE) should be 2011 or 2012.

6. Year of attaining the required percentage of mark in QE should be 2011 or 2012 (For candidates appearing in 2012, results should be available on or before Ist July 2012)

RESERVATION OF SEATS

As per Government of India rules applicable to Central Educational Institution(CEI) candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

Scheduled Castes (SC) - 15%
Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 7.5%
Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
Physically Disabled(PD) candidates - 3% Horizontal reservation
