2. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
(a) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st July, 1993 are eligible.
(b) Educational Qualifications:
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: • 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in 12th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this Examination.
(c) Physical Standards :
Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2009 as given in Appendix-V of Commission’s Notice for Examination published in Employment news/Rozgar Samachar dated 18th October, 2008.
3. APPLICATION FORM :

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 24th November, 2008.
6. FACILITATION COUNTER AND WEBSITE FOR GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES :
In case of any guidance / information /clarification regarding their applications, candidature etc. candidates can contact UPSC`s Facilitation Counter near ‘C` gate of its campus in person or over Telephone No.011•23385271/ 011-23381125/ 011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs. and 17.00 hrs.
The Commission also has Website at address : http://www.upsc.gov.in over which the candidates can obtain details of the examination as well as information about registration of their applications, venue of the examination and results etc.

Important Notice for PGDM Institutions
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has laid down guidelines for admission of students to PGDM programmes in AICTE approved institutions (available at AICTE website: www.aicte.ernet.in ). In order to streamline the admission procedure being followed by technical institutions, AICTE is in the process of allotment of AICTE official Enrolment Nos. to the students admitted in PGDM programme(s) (with all specializations) in AICTE approved institutions.
All AICTE approved PGDM institutions were requested vide Letter dated 23.09.2008 to send the detailed information as per the prescribed format (both hard and soft copy) of students admitted in PGDM programme(s) for the academic years 2007-2009 & 2008-2010, duly certified by the Head of institution by October 10, 2008. The institutions were also advised to host the same information on the institute’s official website. On the basis of this information, the Council shall issue its official Enrolment Nos. to the students and also host the same on AICTE website.
The above information is still awaited from a number of institutions. The Council has decided to give these institutions a last opportunity through this advertisement, to submit the information by October 24, 2008 positively to Adviser (M & T), All India Council for Technical Education, 7th Floor, Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi 110 001, failing which necessary action including no admission/ withdrawal of approval shall be taken against such defaulting institutions.
ATTENTION : PGDM STUDENTS
Students are advised to see the website of the respective institutions to ensure that their names figure in the list submitted to the AICTE for enrolment.
