Admission to MBA (Part-Time Evening program – 3 Years)
for Working Executives – 2008 – 2011

Eligibility: i) Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology /Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering (Minimum 4 years after 10+2)

OR

Master’s degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/ Information Science, Agriculture or Master’s Degree in Commerce/ Economics

ii) Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the above mentioned degree programmes are essential for admission.

iii) There is a relaxation of 5% in marks or equivalent in CGPA for SC/ST candidates

iv) A minimum of 2 years of post qualifying degree work experience as on 01 August 2008.

3. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business) - PGDM-IB

4. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Services) – PGDM - SS

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programme shall be required to possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50 % marks in aggregate of a University or equivalent thereto (45 % for SC/ST/PH).

Admission process : Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points. A weight of 70% shall be for the performance in a centralized All India Admission Test. National Institute of Rural Development

Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM):2008

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 15th June, 2008 may also apply.

Some seats are reserved for the in-service candidates with at least two years of work experience in rural development and allied sectors. In- service candidates are required to apply through their employers. They may however, send an advance application. The in-service candidates will be selected by a Selection Committee through a process of Group Discussion and Interview. They will not be required to appear for the entrance test.




Application procedure: The prospectus cum application form can be obtained from the Professor & Head, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS) on payment of application fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST and differently abled persons) by an “Account Payee” Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRD, Hyderabad. It can also be downloaded from the NIRD website www.nird.org.in . The filled in application form should be submitted along with the application fee to the Professor & Head, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500 030 (A.P) so as to reach on or before 29th February, 2008.

The NIRD reserves the right to cancel any of the centres if there are in-sufficient number of candidates in that centre and assign any other centre to the applicants.

Selection : All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test comprising four sections: English comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Skills. Candidates selected on the basis of the written test will be invited for group discussion and personal interview at NIRD, Hyderabad. No TA / DA will be paid for any candidate for attending the test or group discussion and interview.
