Application Form and Prospectus for admission to the Courses in the College of Art. New Delhi, will be available for sale in the College office from Thursday, 12th June to Monday 30th June, 2008. on all working days (including Saturdays) between 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on cash payment of Rs. 500/- for General Category and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST category candidates or Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of the Principal, College of Art, New Delhi payable at New Delhi, or through Post along with a self-addressed envelop of 10" x 12" duly affixed with Rs. 100/- postage stamp.

Cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft will not be accepted.

Details regarding Qualification, Seats. Aptitude Test, Fees, Courses and Reservations are given in the Prospectus.

Application Forms duly completed should reach the Principal, College of Art, New Delhi, by hand on or before Monday 30th June, 2008 and by Registered/Speed Post before Thursday 03rd July, 2008.



Applications received after the mentioned dates will strictly not be entertained.

The candidates may also download the Application Form for BFA of MFA from the College Website and submit the same duly filled along with the requisite cash payment and enclosures on or before the stipulated date.

4. POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN FINE ART COURSE (2 years duration) for Deaf & Dumb students only.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor of Fine Art Course:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12 year Course) of the C.B.S.E., New Delhi or equivalent examination with 50% or more marks in the aggregate for applications of General Category.

(ii) 45% marks for applicants of SC/ST category, and general category candidates with Painting, Sculpture or Applied Art as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination, Widows and/or children of Armed Personnel/Para-Military Forces and Physically Handicapped Candidates.

Diploma in Fine Art Course (Deaf and Dumb students):

Deaf and Dumb students who have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class X) conducted by C.B.S.E. New Delhi, or an examination recognized as equivalent will be considered eligible for admission to this Course subject to their passing the Aptitude Test in practical subjects only.

The admission to this Course is given for three seats only, one in each of the three disciplines i.e. Painting, Sculpture and Applied Art, as per the modality of admission of Delhi University.

Master of Fine Art Course (M.F.A.):

A candidate seeking admission to the Course must have passed the Bachelor of Fine Art degree in the relevant Specialization of four year duration (after 10+2) offered by the Delhi University or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate for applicants of general category and 45% for SC/ST category/Widows and/or children of Armed/Para-Miliatry Personnel, and Physically Handicapped.

Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art Course (for Deaf & Dumb students only):

Deaf and Dumb students who have passed Diploma in Fine Art Course of 4 years duration of the University of Delhi or an Examination recognized as equivalent thereto will be considered eligible for admission to this Course subject to their qualifying the Assessment as detailed in the Prospectus and applicable to other candidates for admission to M.F.A. Courses.

The admission to this Course is given for three seats only, one each of the three disciplines i.e. Painting. Sculpture and Applied Art, as per the modality of admission of Delhi University.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the admission to M.Tech. (2 years/4 semesters) in Digital Signal Processing (10 Seats) and Biotechnology (25 Seats) 2008-10 batch commencing from July 2008

Eligibility

For M.Tech. (Digital Signal Processing): Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in anyone : B.Tech./B.E. (4 years UG Course in Electronics & Comm./Electrical Engg./Computer Sc. & Engg. /Control & Inst. Engg./ Instrumentation Engg.) / M.Sc. in Physics (Electronics) or its equivalent as specified by Govt. of Uttarakhand/India.





For M.Tech. (Bio-Technology) : A Bachelor's degree (4 years Program) in any of the following : Pharmaceutical/ Veterinary/Medical/Agricultural Sciences - OR Engineering subjects/Physical Sciences with adequate knowledge of Chemical/Biological Sciences (with minimum 60% of aggregate).

For Pure Science students, M.Sc. passed out candidates (10+2+3+2
system) Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Environment
Sciences/ Chemistry (with specialization in organic chemistry) etc. with minimum 60% of aggregate.

Note : Relaxation of 5% maks for SC/ST candidates. Preference will
be given to the candidates having Valid GATE Score card. There is a
provision for Scholarship/Stipend to the GATE Qualified candidates
as per AICTE norms.

Reservation: As per Govt. rules.
