Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Programme at IIT Bombay.
The Institute announces the 5th batch of CEP Certificate Programme in Marketing and Human Resource Management to be held at Mumbai and New Delhi.
This program has been exclusively designed to meet the emerging needs and includes topics that bridge the existing gap and facilitate easy transition to the required platform for success. Proposed Certificate Programme in Management with specialization in Marketing and Managing People is an endeavor to provide an opportunity to the working professionals to get an in-depth orientation and exposure of management through the faculty of repute.
This programme seeks to address a set of issues as stated below:
• Address the emerging paradigms in the field of Management.
• An emphasis on current concepts and applications.
• A focus on those skills most needed by Marketing and HR people today: Analytical reasoning, effective communication and teamwork.
• An integration of information management system applications within the curriculum.
• A blend of topics addressing conventional Marketing and People
Management with a focus on the requirements of modern businesses.


Programme Duration
This Certificate programme of CEP, IIT Bombay will be held during August 2008-May 2009, simultaneously, at Mumbai and New Delhi. Classes are proposed to be held on every alternate weekend (Saturdays and Sundays). Total number of program days will be around 37 days over 19 weekends in a year. Classes on Saturdays will be held from 2.00 PM to 8.30 PM and on Sundays from 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM with an hour lunch break.

Programme Fee
Total fees for the programme at New Delhi will be Rupees Ninety One thousand (Rs.91,000/-) only. Total fees for the programme at Mumbai will be Rupees Eighty Two thousand (Rs.82,000/-) only. Each participant is required to pay the total fee by a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of “THE REGISTRAR, IIT BOMBAY (CEP ACCOUNT)” and payable at Mumbai. The payment is to be made on or before August 19, 2008 for Delhi and August 28, 2008 for Mumbai.

Award of Certificate
For successful completion of the programme, all participants will have to appear for a comprehensive examination at the end of the programme. Each participant will be awarded a certificate by CEP, IIT Bombay on successful completion of the programme.

B.Sc. (H) Nursing Course for 2008-2009

Applications are invited only from Unmarried female candidates for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Course commencing from October, 2008.

Prospectus & Prescribed Application forms for the session 2008-09 can be obtained from the Office of Principal, College of Nursing, Dr. R.M.L. Hospital/Safdarjung Hospital and Helpline Desk of GGSIP University, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi, by submitting attested copies of 12th Class Mark sheet & 10th class certificate for age proof and on submission of Demand Draft/Banker`s cheque amounting to Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) payable at New Delhi favouring "PAO, Dr. R.M.L. Hospital, New Delhi"

Application Form can be obtained either in person or by Post. If requested by post, a request for Prospectus & Application form should reach on or before 20.08.08 enclosing a self-addressed envelop size 30X24 cm. with postal stamps of Rs.50/- duly affixed.

A candidate seeking admission to College of Nursing, shall submit the prescribed Application Form completed in all respects by the closing date & time.



Admission Requirements
Age: Minimum age requirement is 17 years and maximum 21 years as on 1st August, 2008.
The upper age relaxation upto a maximum of five years will be as per the Admission Policy of GGSIP University given in the Brochure.

Education: Senior School Certificate Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years Course) or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 50% marks or more (45% marks or more for SC/ST) in the aggregate of four subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
Reservation: The reservation for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) & Other Backward Classes (OBC), Defence, Physically Handicapped, will be as per Government of India Rules out of the total number of seats made available for admission. One seat, which will be supernumerary in nature, is earmarked for Kashmiri Migrants in each Institution.

Total No. of seats for Safdarjung Hospital and Dr. R.M.L. Hospital are 100 and 50 respectively.
Dates for sale of Admission forms:. 07.08.08 to 27.08.08 between 10:30 AM to 1.00 P.M on all working days from the office of Principal, College of Nursing, Dr. R.M.L. Hospital, New Delhi-110001 or College of Nursing, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi-110029 and also from the Helpline Desk of GGSIP University Kashmiri Gate, Delhi-110403.

Closing Date for receipt of Application Forms: till 30.08.08 upto 4:00 P.M.

The application form, duly filled in, should be submitted directly to GGSIP University. Admission will be made on the basis of merit based on written selection test "Common Entrance Test (CET)" to be conducted by GGSIP University on 20.09.08 at the venue/Centre mentioned in the Admission Ticket.

Note: Incomplete applications will not be entertained and no further correspondence will be made in this regard. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the CET. The College of Nursing or GGSIP University will not entertain the request of postal delay, loss or damage, if any (during the transit) of the Application/Demand Draft/Pay Order for issuance of Prospectus and for the prospectus after its dispatch from the University/respective Hospitals. It is, therefore, in the interest of the candidate to send the application through Registered/Speed Post to avoid any delay.

1st round of counselling for All India seats in Autonomous (Govt.) / Govt. Aided and University Institutions for B.E. Course in the state of Madhya Pradesh commence on 12 - 08 - 2008. The counselling for J & K Migrant / Resident seats in all the engineering institutions of Madhya Pradesh will also commence on 12 - 08 - 2008.

Candidates interested in seeking admission against these seats should apply at above address on plain paper with recent passport size photograph & copy of AIEEE 2008 score card giving following details-
Name, Father's Name, Address, Phone No., Mobile No., AIEEE Roll No., and AIEEE Marks and Draft details.
The application should be submitted alongwith Bank Draft or Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of Secretary ECCA, Bhopal, Payble at Bhopal. Last Date for receiving applications without late fee is 8 August 2008 and 11 AUgust 2008 upto 2PM with late fee of Rs 2500. The candidates may apply by post, however, the ECCA will not be responsible for the postal delay if any.
The minimum educational qualification is BE course is 10+2 examination with PCM (Note - for eligibility the candidates should clear 10 + 2 examination and should have obtained pass marks individually in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry). The candidates with negative marks in AIEEE 2008 are not eligible for registration.
The candidates may note that as approximately only 348 All India seats are to be filled through AIEEE 2008 Counselling, therefore, only selected candidates based on merit will be called for this counselling. The detail of which will be available on official website afetr 8 August 2008. Seperate call letters will not be issued for this counselling. The registrtin fee will not be refunded in case a candidate is not selected for counselling or all the seats are filled before his / her turn.
If seats remain vacant after first round of counseling then second round of counselling will be conducted on 18 August 2008. The details of which will be available on official website after 14 August 2008.
Counselling for admission through PEPT 2008 will begin from 20 August 2008. Detailed schedule will be made available on the website www.rgtu.ac.in
