Eligibility: All those candidates who have passed the 3 year diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 55%) or equivalent grade point or degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject from recognized institutions with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

Preference will first be given to diploma holders and the seats remaining vacant thereafter will be offered to the B.Sc. holders.

A candidate with diploma in any branch of Engineering & Technology can opt for any of the available branches of B.Tech. course.

Application procedure: Detailed information along with the necessary forms is given in the Hand Book of Information (Professional Courses). The Hand Book of Information can be obtained from Information Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala on payment of Rs.600/- at the counter.

National Olympiad Programme in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy & Junior Science leading to participation in International Olympiads.


Invitation to Meritorious Students
Participate in the International Olympiads 2009 in Physics (Mexico), Chemistry (U.K.), Biology (Japan), Astronomy and Junior Science and bring laurels to your country.

Eligibility
Olympiads in Physics, Chemistry and Biology: Science students of Class XI & XII (Born after December 31, 1989)
Astronomy Olympiad:
Junior Level: Students of Class X or lower (Born on or between 1-1-1994 to 31-12-1995)
Senior Level: Students of Class XII or lower (Born on or between 1-1-1990 to 31-12-1993)
Junior Science Olympiad: Students of Class X or lower (Born on or between 1-1-1994 to 31-12-1995)
The programme will follow the following 5 stages. The first stage will be organized by IAPT. All the subsequent stages will be organized by HBCSE.

National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP)
National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC)
National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB)
National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA Jr. & NSEA Sr.)

Stage III: Orientation cum selection camps (OCSC) in each subject.
The selected Indian teams at the end of OCSC will undergo pre-departure training (Stage IV) and participate in the International Olympiads (Stage V).
