Applications are invited against vacant seats & for 10% additional seats for 2nd year of the B.Tech. (4 years) course in



1. University College of Engineering (UCoE), Main Campus, Patiala: B.Tech. (Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)

2. Yadavindra College of Engineering (YCoE), Punjabi University, Guru Kashi Campus, Talwandi Sabo.: B.Tech. (Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Eligibility: All those candidates who have passed the 3 year diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 55%) or equivalent grade point or degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject from recognized institutions with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

Preference will first be given to diploma holders and the seats remaining vacant thereafter will be offered to the B.Sc. holders.

A candidate with diploma in any branch of Engineering & Technology can opt for any of the available branches of B.Tech. course.

Application procedure: Detailed information along with the necessary forms is given in the Hand Book of Information (Professional Courses). The Hand Book of Information can be obtained from Information Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala on payment of Rs.600/- at the counter.

The application form / Hand Book of Information can also be downloaded from the university website and submitted along with a demand draft of Rs.600/- in favour of “Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala” payable at Patiala.

Counseling Schedule : The counseling will be held at University College of Engineering, Patiala as per the following schedule:
a. General Candidates with marks 75% and above : 02.09.2008 ; ;
b. General Candidates with marks 65% and above (if seats vacant) : 03.09.2008 ;
c. General Candidates with marks 60% and above (if seats vacant) : 04.09.2008 ;
d. All reserved categories: 05.09.2008 ; ; e. All India Basis (15%) for General & reserved categories: 06.09.2008
